Is Lenoir City truly in the playoffs? We have to travel to West tomorrow night.

The Kingston Good Ole Boys were not the ones that brought Harris into the Kingston program. They were the ones that ran him off. Kingston has been run by the good ole boys for too long and if they dont change they will continue to be a lower class football team unlike the teams of the 70's and 80's.If they continue to lose I give Coach Pankey 2 maybe 3 years. The KGB will not put up with continuing losing seasons.

I have to disagree with you here on this one. Kingston will be lucky to win a game this year. Harris didn't bring the house down, the good ole boy system brought the house down in Kingston. Loudon will beat Kingston and I think Sweetwater will as well. There are more problems at Kingston than just the number of boys out for the team. What are your thoughts on this Thursday's game with Lenoir City?

Thursday night kicks off the season for Lenoir City and Loudon in the annual Battle of the Bridge Game. Who will win this rivalry? GO PANTHERS Also if you see kids asking for money or food for the annual food drive please donate. All proceeds go to the Good Samaritan Center to help people in need. Last year almost 100,000 lbs of food was collected.

I was wondering the same thing dcnk. Seems like the team is falling apart, but i hope this brings them closer together and they play as a team. Still lots of talent there to carry on.

The principal has been at Lenoir City since 2004 so I don't know who the new principal is your talking about here. Why was he needing to live with a guardian instead of his family anyway?

This post has gotten completely away from the game at hand. As much as I would love to see the Lenoir City Panthers pull out a win I don't see it happening NOT this year anyway. I just hope they can keep it close and not anyone from either team suffer any injuries. I think that the Maryville stronghold on victories will come to an end next year when they face the more powerful teams they will be facing. Give Zeller and LC a couple years and they could very well be the next power house. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to the LC program SENIORS. I wish you luck in whatever you do in the future.

What can we expect from this game? I hope for the boys from LC that they can pull things together and give South Doyle a good game and maybe even pull out a victory. From what I hear LC lost a running back due to a season ending knee injury last Friday night. I want to wish this player a speedy recovery.

I hope your wrong on this and I think that LC will give Clinton a good game IF they can keep from giving up the big plays. Big plays have been the death of LC this year. GO LC and keep your heads up boys.

Great Win for LC. These kids needed this more than anything in the world. They now know that they can win and these guys do not give up. BEAT THE REDSKINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are coaching positions open at Lenoir City High School.

The last word around Lenoir City is that approximately 12 people have applied for this job. The only one that I know for sure is a guy who coached at Kenwood in Clarksville.

The Freshman and Jv do play on the same nights. LCHS stopped playing JV games about half way thru the season due to so many lineman being injured on the Varsity. The JV Lineman had to step up and play some varsity. As far as anyone on the staff wanting the job that question is unclear right now.

I will have to go with Maryville in this battle of the rebels. Coach Q will have is guys prepped and ready to for battle.

Solomon I never said he was not a good man, I just did not agree with his coaching technique or his discipline of the players for doing wrong. I understand that these are 14, 15, 16, and 17 year old boys but when you don't stick to your rules set forth then who is going to respect you. I also never said which coach or coach's should leave. Coach White is a good teacher and a great father to his 2 small children. I want to wish him and his family the best in whatever he decides to do or whereever he decides to go.

I have heard this from several of the players. Even heard it on the field a few times myself. It is uncalled for for these kids.
