  1. How do you make mental errors in a ONE HUNDRED?? Anyway.... Gentlemen, It's been a fun ride. I've loved getting to know each of you over the past year-plus, and I love the fraternity of a/aa distance runners which we have created. It's really great to know that at almost any time I can pick up my phone and call or text any of you for various things, and all of you give me the time of day. I look forward to seeing the results from State--I'm going to be on my senior class trip in Florida, unfortunately(I'd rather be at State!)--so make me proud, boys. I'm pretty much done on CoachT. I'm done with high school athletics and there's no reason for me to continue to post on a High School message board as a collegiate athlete. Signing off, Will Musto/werner
  2. The Walker Valley meet was not FAT, it was hand timed. I was one of the timers.

Time to lay a smack down, Jeff?

Well, I mean, when everyone is either injured or trying to stay under the radar... I'm just saying, trash talking is inevitably coming soon with the post season coming up, and we want to make sure those A/AA threads stay close to the top. I'm also just being satirical.

Your forums are available at either www.tennesseerunner.com. No offense, but this is the one place where Tennessee runners talk about, y'know, athlete stuff. I don't think anybody minds if coaches post here, but threads where coaches whine about coach stuff...kinda clutters the board.

  7. There's no way that actually happens, Musick. I stress fractured my foot just so that I would have an opportunity to train enough in the pool. My coach wouldn't freakin' let me focus on the aquajogging.
  8. Austin East is notoriously very strong.
  9. I love Ryan, he knows that, but winning all three -- on three different days, even -- is a ridiculous challenge. Why don't we not talk about stuff like that? All it's going to do is get people riled up. I think everybody is riled up enough after cross country season -- we don't need more ###### ammunition for people to think of while they're training. All I'm going to say is there is a lot of depth in A/AA distance this year and talking about anybody going for any sort of "triple crown" is crazy. Word on the street is that you s u c k, by the way. Not as a person, but for bringing this up.
  10. We did an easy 3x1600 today in 5:04, 5:00, 4:55. 90 seconds rest.
  11. Don't sweat it, I doubt anybody would have taken offense.
  12. Don't do it, Matt! Forego the trip to Memphis and come down to my house for a fast, flat ten miler that is less money to enter and closer to your house! Alex Bransford is racing the ten miler. So he obviously sees the light.
  13. Dozier goes to McCallie, but he isn't even their best sprinter. He's a big football player for them, but I dunno about sprinter. Quincy Davis (sophomore) from Howard was runner up in the 100m to only Adrian Bentley at Best of Preps last year as a freshman. He was also fourth place in the 200m. I'd say he'll probably be pretty dominant.
  14. Nah...Baylor only listed the top three in results because it was a little tri meet (maybe quad? I don't remember) and they only scored the top three. There were probably ten runners in the race.
  15. Rumor has it they started a track program?
  16. Screw predictions. Here are some facts. I heard from the man himself that Coniglio ran a 3xMile workout this afternoon. Ninety seconds rest. 5:01, 4:58, 4:53. Sounds like some people better keep their heads low because bullets are starting to fly.
  17. Musick is very injured at the moment. ...or so I heard on the rumor mill. So right now, of A/AA runners, we have: Will Musto bailed. Musick injured. Mahaney rolling after FLS. R. Johnson upset after State XC. Coniglio being Coniglio (he'll probably get injured or sick at some point). Nick Winn running fast as heck. Where the heck is Wathen? Is he going to come flying home on that back stretch breathing the Fear of God down the necks of his opponents on May 24 for a come-from-behind Gold?
  18. I heard a rumor that Will Musto (Chatt Christian) bailed on his team again this season. Coniglio can you confirm?
  19. If that rule is the issue here, then why was it not posted in response to the original question of "WHY DID THEY DELETE THE OTHER THREAD?" (which is the sub-title of this thread). Instead you resorted to snide remarks, sarcasm, and generally stooping to immaturity. And I'm embarrassed for your sake because of it.
  20. First of all, and I say this with the utmost respect, but you need to stop parading around your website as if you directly control the posts within your forums. You may act as an administrator, but following the lead of totalitarian dictators is simply taking it too far. I've moderated forums before. I've administrated forums before. Highly successful, highly volatile New York sports forums. So I know how the administrator/moderator jobs work. I also know that there is absolutely no reason to treat users like they're punk kids. Even if they are. Age does not equal maturity; as I have seen countless times before, oftentimes younger users act more mature then their elders. Therefore, just because I am (obviously) a high school student, it is not necessary for you to speak down to me in the manner that you have now in two consecutive posts. I do not appreciate this. Now, I know that you may not care whether or not I appreciate it, but I know that you also like traffic. And alienating users is not a successful way to garner traffic. Traffic, obviously, draws advertisers, which brings home the money. Which is what any popular website needs to maintain operations. If a user asks a simple question, such as "Why was X thread deleted," it is absolutely uncalled for and, frankly, immature to respond in a snide form that simply draws anger. If you do not know, because one of your moderators deleted it, then say "I do not know. One of my moderators deleted it." It's not that difficult, and is actually a phrase I have typed countless times in the past. Actually, most of the time when I type it, I also drop a quick email or instant message to each of my moderators asking if anyone knows who/why it was deleted. Not because I'm going to change the fact that it was deleted, but I like to keep up with the goings-on with regards to my website. Many times I'll continue the process and drop a quick private message to the user who asked the original question and say "Hey, I think someone may have stepped out of line in (insert a generalized description) this fashion..." Again, not very difficult. Look man, I'm not telling you how to run your site. That's your call. But here's what I am telling you: I do not, under any circumstances, appreciate your continued disrespect of me as one of your users with your snide, sarcastic remarks. Please take them elsewhere. Sincerely, Will Musto Chattanooga Christian School
  21. Because it goes with your name. And 16:35 +/- two seconds.
  22. I apologize... I didn't realize "predictions" said in jest were a deletable offense. However, would you mind answering why the other Foot Locker South thread mysteriously disappeared? I mean, seriously, unless someone added something provocative and/or inappropriate (in which case you can simply say "someone added something provocative and/or inappropriate" -- I obviously don't need details) there was absolutely no reason to delete it. Tell me the last time the who's who was at FLS though. That's what's exciting. Obviously State will have a who's who... that's kind of a given. It's the fact that the top guys are all getting together and racing again that's cool.
  23. Awesome. I'm pumped then. Looking forward to it even more. It's gonna be a who's who of A/AA... minus Conigslio. McShwaney. Ryan The Real Deal Johnson. WafflesWithWathen. Nike Winnie The Pooh. And then those wannabes. Like me.
