Some adults on here have forgotten what it was like to be young, yet they try to relive their youth thru HS football. I love the game, but I refuse to bash any kid for losing. Last I heard, football was a TEAM sport....win or lose.

I'm ready to watch the Owls in action again. I challenge fans this week to be supportive, not just by attending and paying your gate fee, but in TOTAL support of the team! Kids and coaches alike make mistakes. Let's be there to pick them up, pat them on the back and say "go give it your best shot"! NOBODY likes fair weather fans.

Gov's go after Farragut. You never know what will happen on any given night in football. Teams that are ranked high in both college and high school tend to get overconfident. From what I saw when WB and OWLS played, WB has alot of potential. Maybe you will get some players back this week. An OWL team anxious to prove themselves once again. One loss does not kill a season. I'm glad it was to Maplewood and not a regional opponent. OWLS will be on their mark again this week. I'm sure ALL the coaches will be working on the areas that need it. Let's get the rest of the FANS behind the team and coaches and support them. GO OWLS!

For two days, I've read all these posts trying to decide what I wanted to say....intelligently. You've summed it up for me in a nutshell. I don;t know who you are, but THANK YOU for pointing out the obvious. FANS can disagree with the coach, the plays, whatever, but to turn on both coaches and players after one game is disgusting in my book. OWLS did not play well....enough said...learn from the mistakes. Some of you bad mouthers will also be the first ones to pat Benny or Brady on the back when we win games. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> As for this owl fan, I can only say keep working hard boys. It was a bad game, move on to the next opponent. I for one am ashamed of some of our "so called" fans! But as some have noted, its a free world and they can have their own opinion. The fans, players, workers, and everyone I came in contact with could not have been nicer, and I for one would make that long drive again anytime. I would sure hate to be this kid. We so called FANS sure like to put a lot of pressure on a a 17 year old KID! I LOVE high school football and the Owls...........but....it is high school football guys. Give him a break. You say it is a team sport. That means win or lose it is a TEAM. he is our quarteback, some of you may not like it, but its a fact. Support HIM and the TEAM. I had thought most of us on here were adults, but if we are, shame on us for setting such a poor example for our kids. I did notice that, but my old brain just didn't comprehend it all. Will he back this next game? I hate to see kids getting in trouble......for whatever reason. If they could just see inot the future(like us old folks) they would realize it's much easier to walk the straight and narrow. don't you think?

VOID70....we have been winning and I think everyone is happy for that. I just think we wonder how it will be against a "good" team. I just hope the fine tuning comes soon. Those big games are just around the corner. What can anyone tell me about Maplewood? Go OWLS!!!
