  1. I also was at the Vanderbilt camp and there were quiet a few good ball players and some that thought they were good. A lot these kids heard the word college coaches and went wild shooting. What alot of the kids don't realize, how many points you jack up doesn't matter, if you can;t stop the other man from scoring. It is mostly the senior players that feel like they have to prove themselves to get noticed. The guy that made this list of names evidently just new certain kids, and was on just a cretain part of the gym, there were some great talent there such as Trae Clemmons from Mt Juliet and Freddie Lee from Maplewood just to name a few and some pretty good young talent up and coming. There were some good little sophmores whose names you will be hearing alot about in the coming years
  2. That comment about Kevin following Andrews to the college ranks, Kevin would have been better off to take the Oakland job unless he wants to follow Andrews to a juco or prep school. Andrews has a big issue with his grades. He is a good performer on the court, but lousy or should i say lazy in the classroom. From what i hear he don't even try.
  3. this kid andrews sound like a great athlete--what are his grades like. what all do they take in consideration when they are looking for mr and miss basketball--just skills orother things also.
  4. Shelbyville has a great team and not just two people, yes deonta is a very big part of this team. Now the kids who seems to plays in everybody else's shadow now must step their game up. Deota is a senior and a great senior and that he is. He is the best point guard in this district and region, i'll even go as far as to say in the state. So to his team mates whom he has carried on his shoulders time and time again, it is now your turn to put Tae on your shoulders and carry him all the way to the semi-finals of the region. I believe that is when he will be able to play again. You all owe this to him, play hard and figure out a way to win so he won't have to end his high school career on a sour note like this.To any other team that is excited that Tae is not playing--BEWARE-- Kevin is not just a good coach, BUT a SMART- ONE

Shelbyville does not have their same line up from last year. They graduated four seniors from that team. They still have Emanuel and Deontae and Self Jarrell, but alot of the kids are youngsters. I do believe they will still be the team to beat I believe some of the younger players are going to step up. Coach k is a good coach and he will have these boys ready and running by tournament time.
  6. It seems to me that the Julian Haile was a very important piece of this puzzle. we got to give him his props-- he was good. you don't realize how vital a kid is to your program until they are gone. i hear he is now at carson newman--great school and a great program. i wish him nothing but the best, he will do well. he was a player, thinker and had a great arm on him. Shelbyville is going to have to get a quarterback that makes good decisions. i know they are young, but is time one of them step up to the plate. if not it is going to be a long year. they have got the recievers, but you have got to have someone to get the ball to them. kudos to the defense, they are looking really good. in the pass it has been great offense and no defense, now it is the other way around.i wish the coaches at shelbyville lots of luck in trying to turn this program around.
  7. lets get going. what are the eagles going to look like this year. they lost quite a few starters from last year. who will replace the quarterback. they had him for three years. what about the ransom kid and the other eight seniors.will shelbyville make it to the play off again this year. they still have to play all those nashville teams.
  8. shelbyville will be the team to beat--they are loaded with talent. to name a few michael france--jullian haile--emanuel andrews--deontae twilley-torrie robinson and two or three that will contribute off the bench. these boys can shoot the lights out, and can they leap--clean out of the gym. they are also fast. they are much improved and should be a state contender.opposing teams won,t be able to focus on one person, because if they do , the other weapons will kill you. wait and see
  9. i didn't see any stats on arrent--did he play friday nite--looks like the young fellow is doing pretty good for hillsboro' whats up with matt
  10. the quarterback at shelbyville central , Jullian Haile is good one. he will do well at the next level, the potential is there he will definately get a scholarship from somewhere. i also hear this kids has great grades, that alone with his athlectic ability, someone will come calling.
  11. they will be playing at whites creek
  12. who will win this match up between shelbyville and whites creek---shelbyville has the momentun going into this one. if shelbyville can pull this one out ,i believe they will have a shot at going to the playoffs.it is still early in the season to be counted out yet. if skill positions play well--great win--defense is going to have to step up big time, giving up way to many points.
  13. i don't have a dog in this fight, but i am almost convinced that the people from cascade love a lot of drama. you guys evidently have a good football program, but whether you know it or not---your program is getting over shadowed by all the negative things that surround you guys. don't bring up a fight that happen last year between the two schools.sounds to me you are a bunch of grown ups who like to get things started. tell your sons to play good clean ball and not to go out and try to intentionally hurt someone's child. if we as parents are telling our children to do this, we need to be careful because whatever you sow you shall reap--play good clean ball and good luck to both programs
  14. this is getting out of hand, we are forgetting that we are talking about a young man, not just something. it doesn't matter who we point the blame on, someone has got to take full responsibility for this situation. we as a people when we do wrong or make a wrong decision, we are quick to blame others for our misfortunes. nick is almost a man and it time that he and whoever else helped him make this decision belly up and except the fact they made a bad choice. good people make bad decision, i'm sure this young man will rebound from this if everyone including nick would let this go and use this as a learning experience. i wish nick well in whatever he does
