  1. Litaker will be eligible to play starting on Friday and he is a beast and Boykin should be returning as school starts. They will both ad to a solid defense but may be moved around to the other side of the ball since the O line is so weak.
  2. Scrimmage results against Summit: Lets just say the Warriors got smacked in the mouth and this was a wake up call for the team and coaches. The O line is in trouble and needs major over haul. They were undersized and push back almost on every down. The offense was a one man show with an second outstanding performance in a row from the transfer running back but his runs were all outside. Little to no yards gained through the line. Defense again was good to fair but lacked energy. The kicking game again was bad. They will have a hard time getting through the year with only one sophomore kicker with injury problems. The QB position needs work but that's to be expected with one getting 18 snaps last year. Throwing downfield only happened once to no avail. Two weeks to fix the problems and get better. Lets hope they take the coaching to heart.
  3. Ok, first observance of the scrimmage against Father Ryan. Over all the team looks good but there were some glaring weaknesses that need work. The O line needs work. They were unable to push FRA's line off the ball resulting in one to two yard gains all day. The runs that scored the TD's were around the end and one of them was a 99 yard run. The defense looked good even without Boykin and Litaker. When they are available the defense should be a beast. Passing game needs work. There is a little different outcome from the 7 on 7's with the QB under pressure. The kicking game needs work. The place kicker from last year missed two opportunities and looked very unsure of himself. The punter did a very nice job turning the ball over deep. Over all the coaching staff now sees what they have to work on. I'll let you know what happens after the Summit scrimmage on Tuesday.
  4. No he's going to the Tennessean to tell everyone in Nashville how great Oakland Is...
  5. Heres a good article on the Warriors wp.me/p7xj2l-1N 7 on 7 performance.
  6. WOW, you seem very confident considering you will have almost new lines on both sides of the ball and with very few seniors your team is very young. I appreciate your early excitement but im afraid reality will be a hard pill to swallow for the Owls this year..
  7. 7 on 7 July 14th 8am...here are the teams. https://twitter.com/OhioTennBoy/status/750168225749622785
  8. He is listed as the number one but has really seen much live play. How they perform in the 7 on 7's and over the next 50 days will tell if one of them will come to the forefront as a leader and starter..
  9. We should know more when the dead period ends with a couple of 7 on 7's coming up. The big question for sure is going to be the QB position..
  10. Good article on Rutherford County Football. National Spotlight On Rutherford County 6A HS Football http://wp.me/p7xj2l-1c
  11. lol...my kids graduated Ole Miss 5 years ago....
  12. You must have gotten caught up in the smoke and mirrors show. Ive been to three camps this year and your right, this one was different. But what you may not have seen was when Harbaugh was over with the juniors and seniors putting on his rah rah act the rest of his staff was over with the freshman and sophomores picking out the fastest players and the ones that stood out. They would line up 10 guys for the 40 and the then they would actually run to the top 3 and pull them aside and find out who they were. On every drill they did they would personally pick out the top talent on each drill and talk with them. This was all about two things, money for the school and Harbaugh and Michigan trying to find the young diamond in the rough.
  13. Im afraid this ones going to be a nitemare. I don't know how you can do anything with 350 players in 3 hours and evaluate anything. You could hardly get 350 players to run the 40 in that time. Im heading over today to watch the circus. Ill let you know how the show was.. #$60ripoff
  14. he might have an impeccable record but he's already in trouble with the NCAA on these camps. He's been taking selfies with players and parents and signing autographs which is a violation of the NCAA camp rules...And not allowing media into the camps so there is no one watching. Its like to fox guarding the hen house..
  15. 7 on 7 on Tuesday the 14th at Riverdale. Its should give some insight on the QB situation. The receiving corps should be top notch Campbell, Barge and Bonds.
  16. Here is a new site for Riverdale info: http://arrowsup.org/ Has information on what currently going on..
  17. Christian Souffront, he's a Jr but I believe he will be splitting the time with a couple of others..
  18. OTA's started this morning with mandatory participation. The discipline and direction are beginning to show. This team may surprise some people this fall. The excitement level is up for sure...
  19. Odom will probably be the started if his passing accuracy improves through the summer and he shows himself in the 7 on 7's.
  20. Size Strength and Attitude is starting to show. The emergence of several under classmen who didn't play a down last year will finally give both sides of the ball the depth that had been lacking. With mandatory Iron Warrior Program this summer we should see the 3 attributes returning to he Warriors. This team may surprise some people this fall by being that team that no one expected to do well but will sneak up on some teams.
  21. He is not going to OTC until the football season is over. He also has many division offers for football so he's leaving all his cards on the table. He just wants to give making the Olympic team a shot.
  22. There not really set with a single DC yet. They have been sharing duties with Bobby Wells handling the linebackers and Steve McClanahan handling the D line but there still may be some changes with the upcoming announcement of John Howse moving up from HC at Whitworth Buchannan to HC with the freshman team.
  23. With former NFL QB Kelly Holcomb as the new OC youll see more of a pro style offense with a passing emphasis. With Gentry Bond at WR, one of the top recruits in the country he will play a big roll in the success of the offense. The run game will still be a big part. The funny thing is they do not have a QB listed on the 2016 roster but odds are Marquell Odom will probable fill that spot.
  24. With the last days of school closing near the emphasis on the summer programs will soon be upon the Warriors. The rebirth of the Iron Warrior program and its participation will be key to the success of this team this fall. With the national spot light on both D'Andre Litaker and Gentry Bonds the Warriors should have something to build on. The key will be which players will step up and fill the gaps. There has been a great increase in weight training over the past few months and this summers programs could make the difference on development that has been missing for the past few years. Seven on Sevens should tell a lot on where the direction of the offense will be headed this fall. Overall, things are looking up for the Warriors and the will be a lot of excitement heading into this fall. Work hard boys, you're responsible for your own progress during the summer months. Remember, character is what you do when no one is watching..
  25. But my point is if Michigan or any other school is interested in a player they already know who he is and many by the time their sophomore year starts. For example, Jack Jones from Oakland was already on the recruiting list for UT when he was a sophomore just like D,Andre Litaker from Riverdale is. The truth is most of the kids that attend these camps would be lucky to make it on a D2 school roster. If it was all about recruiting and exposure then why are they charging the fees they are to these kids?
