Stratford lost their quarterback and 1 running back( 600 plus yards rushing this year), BIG PART OF THE WINNING TAKING PLACE AT STRATFORD, trust me. It was intentional. Someone from the School reported themselves as soon as the game was over. Why would any Coach "IN THEIR RIGHT MIND" play a ineligible player if you were not doing it on purpose. Good pasture is playing amazing right now.

I am disgusted but not surprised ( Mr Integrity) ,that Cheatham would call in on themselves to report a illegal player on the team to forfit and drop to the bracket they want to be in. AMAZING!!!!!

Please tell me that Gator boy is not coaching Dickson county? I went to the Homecoming against Rossview, I swear I seen East Hickman old Coach ( if that what you want to call it) and his pet Scott Christy on the sidelines ??????? Who hired these guys? I feel for Dickson County .

Amen! Finally got a new Coach! The janitor would of been a 100% improvement from who has been in the drivers seat the last 5 years! I hope he brings a entire new staff and gets East off to a good start. Cant wait till fall!

It means he was a servant to NASH!BUTTKISSER! Centerville kept him where he was because it was a secured win ( most years) for Hickman , have you ever wondered why East was the visiting team on so many homecomings? The fans in the opposing stands always got a good laugh, first at the sight of him ( disgrace) , then the predictable play calling. Some of the stupidest plays ever seen called. That is not a good knowledge of football. That's "CHOKING" get your head out of the sand. Nash was approached for years about this guy SO many incidents took place on the team under this guys watch, You know what im talking about , unless your one of those CRAZED dads in the stands bashing him, then trying to be his buddy to get your kid more playing time...lol

Words cannot explain the disgust that is felt in our community, I was optimistic for about 3 years hoping he would work out the kinks, Never happened,I welcome a new coach with open arms. Whoever it is will get the overwhelming support of the Community, But I fear it will be another " good ole boy appointment" , I hope im wrong but the track record for this county is horrible as in fair hire practices.

The Super that is there now protected this guy that just resigned , now the super is fired and not being retained, this joke of a coach sees the writing on the wall, he knows he will be GONE as soon as a Supt comes in, but who they will choose is the big question, the small town politics will play a big factor in this decision. They don't like going outside the circle of the "Church on the hill " in Centerville, but may have to if they want a quality Candidate to run the School system fair and require positive results from the students. The guy ( Jerry Nash) who was in there was a tyrant who only cared about numbers reported to the state. He had many School board members immediate families working for the school system, if the School board did something he did not like the family member Employee paid the price. This allowed Supt. Nash to become a rogue tyrant, It was messed up but the School board finally did the right thing and ousted him. with that action King ( Gator boy) is out as well, he saved face by leaving because I assure you he was the first one who will be stripped of his coach title. Hickman is a dirty good ole boy political county but its changing, too many new outsiders are moving in, stopping the old timers that lived only in Hickman their entire life and resisted change. East Hickman could of made noise from the beginning, but lots of turmoil and the best years they would of had was when this guy ( King) was coaching, he destroyed a good thing.The feeder School was East Hickman Middle which was many times over MTAC champions, and many of those seasons undefeated and unrivled This School developed great atheletes for the next level, However Coach Harris who at the time was the Middle School coach,had a great program formed , it outshined the high School program ran by King. Jealousy ensued and eventually King got Harris out of the picture by some very dirty deeds. After Harris left he went to another State and coached a High School team with several years of zero wins, he turned the program around. And the team actually began to win. When Harris left the Middle school the program fell on its face and I do not think they have won any games ( if they did very few) since. Participation went from many to few. Its sad that 2 men caused this, and the ramifications are irreversible. I hope the best for the program ( whats left of it) And a good Supt. will be the start of a long road to repair. I would love to see Harris return, but who knows. The Community will support the team but in this County . But a good Supt. is key.

I am shocked... If it's true East Hivkman just took a step in the right direction. This guy was by far the worst coach I ever seen, he had no business in that position from the beginning . But with the fact his " protector" Jerry Nash did not get retained as the Supt of Schools he would of been gone anyways. If Nash would of been retained, he would of stayed because he was " protected" . I say give Harris a shot. He deserves it, this should be interesting next few months .

Well East Coach hopefully last game in his career, Since he has became Coach his record is 21-51 , After Friday he will either have 22-51 or 21-52. His legacy will be the most horrible retained coach in existence. Next year will be the beginning of a complete rebuild for the High School and Middle School. What a sad run he had......

Its in the Hickman County Times. front page. I would love to have Harris back, King tried his best to defame him, but his record speaks for itself. The Team King has right now is comprised of the MTAC Champions for a few years in a row from Middle School, They should be making some noise on the field by winning games......., but with him as a Coach it will not happen. When he first became Coach and started bombing out the first few years,( SO MANY OF YOU ON HERE SAID ITS THE CRAZY PARENTS CAUSING THE PROBLEMS, LET HIM COACH AND IT WILL BE FINE.............ha ) people were all over him wanting him ousted and replaced, he was obviously not a leader to the kids, I seen full fledged fist fights break out on the sidelines amongst the team, that tells me they were not " as one" , no control, no football coaching skills at all ( he talked himself up real good when he first came about himself) , the team would be getting destroyed and he just stayed with his losing system and continued getting embarrassed without trying new things, From that point the stands became more and more deserted, East became a laughing stock and the so called program went down hill from there, still in its downward spiral. This guy knew where to get " in" and got in good with Nash and became his little pet. , hence he remained unjustfully the East High Coach. The Program could not get any worse as it is now. The New Supt will clean this mess up, The East boys Basketball Coach and his squirrely Assistant need to go as well, they have never done anything with that program and remain where they are ( His mommy is the Principle by the way. can you say NEPOTISM??????????) .

Supt of Hickman County Schools Jerry Nash is FIRED, School Board did not renew his contract. With that said I assure you East will have a new Football Coach next season. Its been a long time coming. Im hoping for more changes in this School system as far as Coaches, also some teachers need to go as well.

The Coach is such a joke no kid wants to play for him, Some left for a better chance at success. the Middle School has fallen apart as well. Its sad to see this happen to the community. What frustrates me is the powers that be sit and watch with a smile. Nothing has been done since the guy came, After the first encounter with him I knew he was going to make a laughing stock of our School , ( not that it already is not)

Fairview is more physical. I see Fairview winning by a TD , Waverly is tough. But Fairview wiggles this one out ........
