Today Dekalb County is the best. They won their Region as a team and Payne Denman was low medalist with a 68 and Austin Garrett was second with a 72.

Played at Cookeville White Plains Golf Course. 299 score. I think they have a very good chance at another state appearance. They have played the Legacy before and some of them have played it several times. They are used to hard courses. They play at Riverwatch during the season which is a challenge to almost anyone. Jackson 315 and Livingston 320

Dekalb did win the district followed by Jackson and Livingston. Gold Medalist was Austin Garrett from Dekalb. Dekalb is loaded again this year.

Aaron Puckett from White County

WC lost 3 starters, Delaney, Green and Brown. Some folks think they will be way down next year since their bench was weak this year. I think they will be really good with Puckett, Mitchell and Johnson coming back and some of the players that will be back such as Mitchell, a 6'5" center and others who saw no chance of playing before and some of the freshmen and sophmores will be much better. I think it will be a more controlled team and they will play for the best shots. They will play well as a team.

yeah, This week he made first team in the Murfreesboro area. Tate got honorable mention. He was just out hurt for some time and if he had not gotten his cast off where he could play in the tournaments I don't think they would have made it.

Terry Hammonds is the one you have to watch instead of Levon Tate. Tate had a good tournament but he is for sure not the best of the best. In our region the reason they came back was because Hammond got the cast off his wrist in the district and was playing almost 100% by region time. He and Puckett broke bones the same night, Hammond a wrist and Puckett a hand. They will be the best two players in Region 4 next year if they both stay healthy. Levon Tate is not even close to these two .

Aaron Puckett from White County. 6'6" Center will be one of the best post players in the area. He had some health problems this year and got them straightend out. Played great in the tournaments. He will be hard to stop next year. Played very well this year.

Refer to post 44, You asked if any of the teams had beaten WC by 30. The answer was No. Oak Ridge beat them by 1 in the spring scrimages. Red Bank just played way over their heads and if a team does not watch out they will do it to them.

What teams have seniors graduating this year. I know White County has Delaney, Greene, Brown, Davis and several more that didn't see much playing time. I believe some of the lower classmen will give it a try next year. Its hard to come out when you know you have no chance to play. There are several that could help the team and with Puckett, Mitchell and Johnson coming back I think they will be a really good team with lots of wins. Just a somewhat different style of ball. Maybe not as much as some folks think. We know Murfreesboro will be good but who comes back?

OR beat WC by one in a pre season scrimage. Red Bank hit 15 3's with someone in their face. We were told that they had just gotten everyone well and playing together. WC players are not slouches but they sure made them look bad.

Advantages are too great for home teams. For example only 1 team from 3AAA won at the visiting site and this is just not even logical. I'm sure that the same holds true for 2AA & 1A.They may as well take the teams straight from the Region if this is the best option.

Until sub-state has to be played at a neutral place the best teams will not be in the state. I really do not understand why this can't happen. I guess it would get into TSSAA's pockets. Some of these teams come from really strong districts and get beat on a bad night at the regions and have to go to play a team in a weak district at their home gym and you know what happens if you get to have the game in your home gym.

I didn't know a student could transfer and play in sports during the playing season, especially during tournament time. Looks as thought teams who have a really good player and gets put out early could just let him transfer a team that is not so good and let them go on. Confusing at the least.

Sparta is lucky to have 105.5 to broadcast their games. You guys are great. I didn't get to make it to the game last night but it sounded like these kids from RB could have given UT a run for their money. Thanks to all the boys who gave us entertainment for the winter months. Good luck in life to the seniors and remember these games with only the good memories. In life there is always someone who is better at some things than we are but we do the best we can and I believe you guys did. Next year we will come back with a very good team and start over. We need both the 2's and the 3's. Thats our best game when they are both falling. Threes can be stopped and twos can be stopped but if they are both being used I don't think any team can stop five good shooters.

Talked to someone whose friends kids went there. They are very good. Very athletic. Some played football and they didn't do as well at the beginning of the season. Play well together. Scores against Cleveland,which by the way has a very good team, were 15,14,14,13 &8. Starters are 6'3",6'2",6'1",6'1" & 6'. They have two freshmen who are on the team but don't let that fool you. Good jumping, running athletic team. The boys will have to be on their A game.

TSSAA's website says WC will play at 6 and Shelbyville at 7:45. The Tennessean also says this. I wonder if anyone even knows.

If you were there you know who should have been getting the ball more it was the ones who were hitting. If you have guys who are hot on threes or twos they should be shooting more than ones who are hitting 1 out of 4 or 5. Each player usually has nights when they are not hitting and nights when they are. The ball should go to the ones with the hot hands.

Who knows? Sparta may decide to play five players against Oakland. They thought Tullahoma was going to be easy so they went back to their before tournament ways and did not look for the sure points. It was a first across center line gets the shot. Street ball will not win against any good teams. It has to be well coached team ball when you get to this part of the season. They are capable of beating anyone and they are capable of giving games away. Lets hope that they decide to play team ball from now on. If not they can get ready to go to the house.

They should not have been in the game by the 4th. The guys just got sloppy.
