  1. Has Milan ever played Goodpasture at Goodpasture? It seems like every time they have ever played it's always been at Milan.
  2. Livingston might have run the veer against Lipscomb that year in the state championship game where the mustangs didn't know whether or not to scratch their watch or wind their ####. Interesting quote from someone whose team lost 55-13 the night before the Mustangs lost to LA.You're right history does not lie. 35-7 for example. In fairness, Alcoa has throttled GP three years in a row in championship games and once in the 70's. If you want to compare GP losing to a superior opponent on several occasions and Lipscomb losing a championship game to a team that barely made the playoffs that year, go ahead if it makes you feel better. The purpose of bringing the DL/Livingston game into this thread was a warning to the cougars. On paper the cougars should win. However, they're playing against some hardnosed mountain boys with an unfamiliar offense. If it offends the stangs that we're using you as a cautionary tale then so be it. Now please do us a favor and stay off our thread. Go back to Granny White and hold back some more 8th graders so they'll have full beards and receding hairlines by the time they're seniors.
  3. They run the veer. They are also about a 70/30 pass team. Couple good running backs, good QB who used to be a starting wb for our team that went to the third round. Good receiving core. Should be a really good match up. They have more speed than size, and, as saw in the Smith County game, it is a great advantage. The veer, wow. To my knowledge you don't see that much anymore. I guess it's so old it's new again. I remember Alcoa running the veer in the 70's and they had a fullback that would literally not figuratively knock people out. Livingston might have run the veer against Lipscomb that year in the state championship game where the mustangs didn't know whether or not to scratch their watch or wind their ####. Does York have a hammer or a sledgehammer of a fullback? Do they get most of their yardage between the tackles or on the edge?
  4. Thanks for the reply. What kind of offense do they run?
  5. It's my understanding York runs a unique version of the Wing-T where the splits of their linemen are much closer than other versions of this offense. Can anyone from York compare and contrast their version of the Wing-T, strengths, weaknesses, etc.? Also, what's their percentage of run vs. pass?
  6. I think you don't know how to spell. Way to represent your private school education. It's Greenbrier not Greenbriar genius. By the way we all think you're a tool using "Goodpasture" as a user name. See anyone else calling themselves the name of their school? Come on 'bro. You've got to do better than that.
  7. Thanks very much. It was my understanding a Jackson radio station broadcast the games. Thanks for the info. Prayers for no injuries. Prayers for safe travels. Prayers for great sportsmanship. For the boys who are actually playing in the game. Play like you're never going to play another game. For many it will be your last. Don't leave anything on the field. There are those of us who played 5 years, 10 years, 20+ years ago who would give anything to play one more time. Seize the day. Rise to the challenge. Embrace this moment. BRING IT!!!
  8. Is the game going to be on the radio in Jackson?
  9. Hey, "DaCatfish", you know anyone from Cheatham County named "Big Country"? You remind me of him. Also, Oregon State 27 USC 21, I mean Goodpasture 27 Lipscomb 21
  10. Look, with my wardrobe and hair shouldn't I have a high opinion of myself? Just remember a catfish is not a fish.
  11. Let's discuss this in person. After you leave Bobcuts today can you stop by the Amish store and pick up some molasses? They go great with biscuits and scrambled eggs. Then, stop by and pick up Mayor Wilson and tell him we have reserved seating waiting for him since he's a fellow Camelite. He'll be sitting with the mayor of Lipscomb, the Honorable Chuck Ross. Chuck is a very kind fellow but tell the mayor he can rub the Bison but he can't borrow a pencil. I'll be there as well. I'll have the upper middle class Camelite uniform, khaki pants, starched white button down, tasseled loafers and severely parted blond hair which may or may not be the real color. Tap me on the shoulder and say, "We hate Goodpasture too" that way I'll know it's you.
  12. Really!! I thought it was Camelites because the Mustangs are like camels and they don't need a lot of water. Thanks so much for setting me straight especially about the spelling. Wow, you guys CAN do more than produce eggs.
  13. The game is on Channel 30, channel 14 if you have Comcast, This is not a CSS game
