In four home games, we have had three officials from Greeneville. The rest are from Johnson City and Kingsport, Church Hill even. I hope the loud fans that do not care to stand on their feet head to Morristown this week. It would be nice for the Greeneville side to be loud when the boys are on defense. Go Devils!!!

Being ranked #170 in the state of Tennessee is not that high. There has been plenty of players ranked higher than that and never went to D1 AA. Phone calls only mean little, when that paperwork gets there thats when you start talking. Ask Elizabethton what? Ask Elizabethton the final score. Tyler Gaby is probably a better QB than Phipps.

The veer has so many different options, you have to play your responsibility on each one. Thats why backs get so open.

Hey genius Greeneville fans, South doesn't run the veer. The veer is one of the hardest offenses to stop when ran right. Against us Jeff ran it right, and against West they had six turnovers. Its a totally different mind set in practice when your're playing a team who runs the spread. South will be good and that QB is good, but he is no Curt Phillips! Teams play to the ability of their competition. If we can get Trevon Armstrong off the bike long enough to do anything we'll be fine. Did anyone else in the stands see how long he was on that bike?

Greeneville is not like the rest of the Mountain Lakes.

Look at turnovers. Whoever turns the ball over the most will lose. Turnovers killed the Buffs last year. They took care of the ball and beat Cloudland. If they take care of it agian they will beat HV. The Buffs are ahead of the rest of the Greene COunty schools (except GHS). They have been working hard in the weight room and on the field since the end of last season. The other county schools (except GHS) think you can come in a week or two before camp starts and make a good year out of it. Hard work by a whole team pays off in the end! Keep improving Buffs!

The O-Line wasn't the problem against Jeff. It was the D-line. Jordan had a great mental game against Jeff. Probably one of his best. Offense isn't the problem right now, its the YOUNG defense, but there is no doubt in my mind that the defensive trouble will be resolved come Friday.

Shouldn't Mcfall be ejected for running on to the field without a helmet because of a personal foul. He ran out to the numbers when Jeff was on defense. Shouldn't he be ejected for that and then suspended for a game or two

Greeneville's enrollment should put them in a region with, Unicoi County, Elizabethton, Happy Valley, Johnson County, Sullivan Central, and Sullivan East. Unicoi and Elizabethton also play up.

Why could it not be at Greeneville next year?

Volunteer will be better than what they should be, they will be well coached.

My question is, Why does West always play Cocke County and Crockett? Greeneville seems to always play East. Boone and Volunteer have played against each other for about the past three years? Dont they supposedly "draw the teams out of a hat" or as Hatcher from East says, "just pour them out and thats how it will go." He's not very friendly! But I can't blame him.

So will Jeff have the Giant Cross-Eyed Patriot in the middle of their field? I guess you will since the Patriots are bringing back the late 80's down in Dandridge. Maybe you should pull out the BIG HAIR and MULLETS TOO! Well I'm pretty sure the MULLETS are still fairly popular in Jeff Co.! How many turnovers will the Pats have Friday?

Turnovers will lose it for Jeff. Yes that tiny QB is fast as H#!!, but he does not protect the football. I would say the slant won't work as good agianst the ole Greene Devils. I 'm taking the idea that JC4life is a Jeff Coach. He sure gets mad when somebody says anything mean about the Pats.

Less than two weeks away from the opener. Will be able to tell more after this weeks Jamboree. GO DEVILS!!!

Campbell County and Tennessee High have already scrimmaged this season before the Greeneville scrimmage

Greeneville could have thrown the ball deep against CC all day. CC was goodin there 3 man front. CC had one big play. After that they were pretty quiet. I think the lines on the field were confusing. The TD pass was inside the ten. The only first string series against CC Greeneville threw a deep ball for about 25-30 yds. The receiver never stepped out, the referees were apparently using a quick whistle due to the sideline on the practice field. Greenway then ran it for about fifteen, and punished one of the db's for CC. TH just didn't look very good on offense. Neither really looked comfortable throwing on the bootlegs, and they continued to run them. I guess doing something over and over gives you a chance to get better, or make it worse. Greeneville seemed to be in much better physical shape than the other two teams. The last series against Tennessee High showed where the teams are when it comes to conditioning.

Greeneville probably doesn't have any business playing in that conference. All in county conference games with the Devils would have to be played at Burley Stadium, because I'm not sure if Greeneville's band could even fit in the bleachers of the county schools. It would be good for the county schools. They have to drive a good ways to get beat, why not drive just a few minutes, save some gas. It would do them no good when it came to the playoff's. Enrollment wise, the Devils should be in that conference. Football wise the county schools don't even come close. I wish the Devils still opened up with a county school, it gave the Devils one more week for a scrimmage like game with a big crowd. Dont blame the 2-48 record over the last five years on the referees

Well I'm voting for Greeneville. They have a 3 headed monster in the backfield. Everyone knows about Barner, but the other guy is back as well. I think he is faster than Barner. He is definantly bigger. He's about 6'0" 195. Oh yeah we got that Greenway guy too, he's not really a push over.
