I'm sure with the young coaching staff Greeneville has, they could find a replacement, if he doesn't just do it himself. Did any new coaches move in to the staff?

Not above but just seen what it takes, coaches can be great at encouraging players to come out for football and work their tails off. But at gametime is when the real coaches comeout. Lineman challenge? All of the county schools have always had big ol' hogs for o-lineman. You might be able to bench press a truck, but that doesn't mean you can play football. The funniest statement is about GHS being twice the size that South Greene is, Greeneville has been playing with that situation for years, whats West Greene's excuse? Pretty sure they keep getting bigger and bigger.

Sanchez and Hernandez are too small for their size, Hernandez doesn't move well. Rollins is too slow to play anywhere. Stewart and Nease could possibly play at NAIA level if they want too. People just don't realize what it takes to play at a 1 AA or even a D2 level. FIllers could be D1 in baseball. Letters and questionaires mean nothing, they send thousands upon thousands of those. Trevon is the only one with a legitimate chance of playing NCAA football.

I told everybody Sullivan South and Region1 was over rated. Don't get me wrong South was a good North East Tennessee team, but not the best. Their Region was WEAK! Thank you for pointing that out. I'm calling out all you SO_CALLED DIE HARD DEVIL FANS! The fans will be there this week because Maryville is coming to town. If we were playing Rhea Co., our FAIRWEATHER fans would stay at home and listen toRon and the boys. I will have to say thay the fans that made it Friday were LOUD, but just think how loud they would be if all that could and would, would show up. Greeneville used to have a full home side everygame, but not now for whatever reason they don't. I know Barb gets upset when I talk about the FAIRWEATHER fans, but I do not think I'm the only one saying it.

Man people hear and make up some crazy rumors. Parking hasn't changed any from the last two years. The new weight room is in the same old Field House (Newly Re-painted). The best places to park are in the Unemployment Office parking lot, just behind the visitor bleachers or in Ross Furniture parking lot which is right across the street from the school. Ross' is on the corner of College and Tusculum Blvd. Unemployment Office is on College St. GO DEVILS!

Hey Mo Ron, where do you live? Its not the city that is filthy rich, its a man that moved here in the early 90's. He loves high school football and he wanted to support a program with lots of tradition. Your not even a Betsy fan are you?

Greeneville will still play South and Mo- West. Betsy is the one who cut off the rivalry. Greeneville needs to play in Region 1, so they will be better prepared for the playoffs.

Quarles is a long and lanky player, he can probably see alot better over the line than Greenway. Quarles is a competitor and a football player he will be fine. He will get some much needed experience this Friday.

yes that is very true. He is a very good coach, but what do all really good coaches have? Really good assistants! Keep it up Devils.

I'm sorry, Perkins can not beat out Quarles. Go Devils! East is talented, but will the weather bother them? Who knows? The Devils will be fine in the weather, ask Mercer County.

Greeneville has some young coaches. I;m pretty sure some of them will make great head coaches one day.

Quarles will be the next QB at Greeneville, (Perkins will be a very good football player but not ready to start at QB. He will on Defense though. Where did perkins come from, he didn't play at GMS?) unless some of those soph. that chose not to play for whatever reason decide to play as juniors. There is probably one or two in that group that could get it done. I'm guessing Bill Duncan has them believing they will be making a huge impact on the basketball team.

The Greeneville vs. Elizabethton rivalry is one of the oldest in the state, look it up. No one in Greeneville really knows why Betsy dropped us. Traveling to Erwin and Elizabethton is not much further at all than going to Morristown. Sullivan North is not far from Dobynns-Bennett either, thats not that far either. Should be good for the Devils, playing where they are supposed to be. Can easily pick up the Morristowns for Non-conference games.

Brock Church is no longer a QB, I'm pretty sure there are two Freshman handling those responsibilities.

Nope, we will be in 2a during the season and 4a in the playoffs. If you read the article on www.greeneville.com it explains the playoffs. Alcoa will be 3a in the post season. P.s. It will be great for other sports!!!

South is a very good football team, but you can agree they are not as powerful as last year. Greeneville isn't sneaking up on people like last year either. I'm sticking to my thoughts of the MLC. I've dislike teams in that conference for years. Whats talk anyway, its just talk. It doesn't matter what you or I say. The coaches coach and the players play. I just can't wait until playoff time. Thats when the fun begins. Maybe my word will be true, maybe not. But all I can do is say Go Devils!

I thought this was a Board for North vs. South. This 5 Rivers fan will help get it back on track. I am saying South by 28 or 35. No confidence in anybody else from the Mountain Lakes. Whats the First round predictions, is it too early to tell. Still some pillow fights to go on in the Mountain Lakes.

If Greeneville, or either one of the Morristown Schools were in the Mountain Lakes, it would seem as if they were clicking on all cylinders too. Mountain Lakes are pitiful!!! Besides South and South isn't nothing like they were last year. No one man army.
