  1. WOW! this award is a complete JOKE, this is darn ridiculous. Rod Wilks? are you kidding me? I am sure he is good but he is not andre sterling. The fact that Sterling did not win this award is reason enough to stop giving it. This kid is the BEST football player in the state, I don't care about where you have committed but watching this kid play is something special. This is ridiculous, for a kid to get ripped off like this is not right. I think every voter who had a say in this should take a long look at themselves in the mirror, this is a joke. Oh and the fact that the Phillips kid didn't win it either is obsurd. Watching him lead his team to the semis with absolutly no help at all was amazing. Watching him run circles around the Maryville defense was spectcular, he completly out performed the Burnette kid. Burnette has a plethora of tremendous athletes to throw the ball to and they are capable of getting open and making plays, Phillips did not have this luxury and had to create plays by himself
  2. Great season, we have some great players leaving, but we also have some great ones returning. What is everyone's thoughts for next season?
  3. After two games with Bearden my analysis is this: An extremly physical defense, an outstanding playmaker at QB, and a solid hard-nosed RB. IF Smyrna can establish a passing game, which should not be too difficult, and slow down the Bearden run forcing them to throw the ball, they should do just fine. Bearden is extremly strong on both lines, they are small, strong, quick, and powerful. They play both ways and play with alot of heart and effort. It would not surprise me if Bearden comes out a little flat after a long bus ride and an emotional win over Farragut. I know nothing about Smyrna excpet they have a couple of phenoms and QB and WR. However, if they are able to stop Beardens run game they should do fine, Bearden's passing game was very sub-par last night. Smyrna should go into this game looking to air it, because it was near inpossible for Farragut to run the ball on them with the best back in the state and one of the best O-line units.
  4. I haven't been back to my old school in quite some time! I am excited for this one, making the drive from Milledgeville,GA for it. So what is the news with the dogs? I heard they lost some big reciever early on with a knee injury? any other injuries for this game, either side?
  5. Yea, Bearden fans probaly would say that about Farragut Fans /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  6. Sterling is a major factor to the Farragut team, but sophmore Lee Van Dyne also slashed the defense for 100 yards Friday, and Chris Bass managed to find the endzone. Andre is a large compnent, but this Admiral offense has players all over the field that can make plays.
  7. I was glad to see 66 get some meanigful snaps in at the end of the game, that young man has a spirit that just won't break! The trainers were seen yelling at him to persuade him to not play, and possibly risk further injury. I was very impressed
  8. No commitment yet, but he has a wide variety of schools pursuing his services. From south carolina to colorodo.
  9. cool man! I mean seriously, who won the varsity game? But I'll give yall's freshman credit, they were good, but let's hope nothing bad happens later on to them, like maybe taking three guys and beating up a 15 year old girl......oh wait. But yea, It's a freshman game, the coaches change. Players develop. But that was a very worthless post on a board concerned with the admirals victory last night against a good Oak Ridge team.
  10. I would say Farragut has a great o-line. They are all big, strong, and athletic. Great Center, and that Haril kid is appearantly a d-1 prospect at guard. I believe they are all seniors with the excpetoion of the junior at LT.
  11. Riverdlaae is a traditionaly great team, and thats no different this year. But, put them into region 2 this year. I can almost promise they would not be undefeated if they had to play WB, Farragut, OR, and McMinn. If these region 2 teams were distirbuted evenly across the state, into different regions, I feel confident they all could win those regions. There is some serious competiton in Region 2; Riverdale is the only team that could play with region 2 teams,in region 4 that is.
  12. I heard something about one of the owl's ends quitting in the middle of a game, any truth to that?
  13. How does the Owl's d-line look this year. I know they lost at least a couple players from last year's, is it a pretty solid unit?
  14. I would be hard pressed to go against Farragut. Look at what they did to WB's outstanding defense, put up 36, after they had allowed just 40 all year. They have a strong line, outstanding RB and QB, and young recievers with big-play potential. I believe the coaching staff has tweaked the offense since last year to rely on the option more. Kudos to the offensive staff, they seem to have a great system in place with great kids to run it..
  15. what are you saying? /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />
