  1. Awww, ease up 38. Me and the Logger give each other more crap than that. Living in a garage would be an upgrade for that sheep-herder. :justwrestle:
  2. grammar?........... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  3. I'll be available for interviews in a couple of weeks if anyone is interested. Thanks!
  4. Throw the hail mary! 57 yards is an extremely low percentage kick for an NFL kicker let alone a high school kicker with a high school snapper and a high school holder. If the kid did hit from 65 in practice it was most likely without a snap, hold, or rush, and probably wind aided. I'd never put a game on the back of a high school kid expecting him to hit a 57 yard field goal. I did look up this kids stats after the initial post in the Tennessean and he does have good numbers though. I think they show he has made more PAT's then attempted.
  5. Actually I know I could never fill the shoes of Coach Kenny Parker at Cascade. I may, however look into a position in West Tennessee. Union City appears to have the best talent over there after watching them destroy an over-rated McKenzie team. Do you think they would be interested in giving me a shot?
  6. Here is how this region finishes up. 1. Jo Byrns (undefeated again) 2. Cascade (still can't get the Jo Byrns monkey off their back) 3. M.T.C.S. 4. Forrest or McEwen Middle Tennessee Christian, McEwen, and Forrest will all finish with identical records having beaten each other. M.T.C.S. will win the first eligible tie-breaker among the three teams having played the toughest non-region opponent (Perry County who will finish with either 4 or 5 wins). The winner between Forrest and McEwen will get the last playoff spot. The Coach has spoken!
  7. All the real football talent in Tennessee comes from Franklin County. I thought everyone knew that........I'll have the boy up here in Knoxville in a few years if he continues to develop.
  8. Okay, let me break it down to simpliest form since sarcasm didn't work. A TD is worth 6 points. If MP scored 7 touchdowns, their minimum score they would of been 42 points. Obviously he was incorrect in his 7 touchdown claim.
  9. I don't know how they teach you folks in M.P. to count, but I cannot get 7 TD's out of 32 points any way I try. Am I missing something? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  10. Congratulations to Mt. Pleasant on the win. The announcers did a good job. Despite some second half personal fouls on Mt. Pleasant, I never heard the term "thug" so hopefully they learned not to refer to kids that get out of line that way including the penalty on mr. football. Good job and good luck next week.
  11. That pretty much says it all right there. I have a lot more respect for you now. First time I mentioned this you tried to worm you way out of it by saying you used the phrase "thug-like"... Not sure what the heck the difference is. I can see that you are exactly the type person you presented yourself to be in your telecast. God forgives all, just ask him for forgiveness..
  12. I still don't think an announcer should be calling a kid a "thug". He, nor you, knows what all was going on during that game. Once you make the decision to get on the airways and call a game, you must always be aware of how your comments will be perceived. As Duane said in one of his posts, your not just talking to the MP community, you are being carried all over the world via the internet. Labeling a kid with that title, without knowing the kid is wrong no matter how you try to justify it!
  13. What was uncivil about my post? The fact that I stated the guy sounded redneck? If I had said he sounded "country" would that make you feel better? Like someone else said, most country people don't take offense to being called redneck. The term derived from farmers getting a redneck out working their crops all day with their shirts on. It isn't offensive to them as far as I know. Perhaps you should loosen up a bit. I only stated my opinion that I don't think a public announcer should be calling kids "thugs" even if he didn't agree with what happened on the field. Again, IMHO... Carry on with your "civil posts."
  14. Listened to the second half broadcast to hear what Moto was referring to. Sounded like the guys did a pretty good job despite the obvious bias. I didn't think it was very professional for the redneck sounding one, Dewayne, I believe it was, to continously call the other teams players a bunch of "thugs". My experience with high level games is that it usually takes two to tango and I'm sure there was a lot of emotions flowing from both sides of the ball. That terminology could of been left off a telecast IMHO...
  15. We're all forgetting the king of interviews, Bob Knight.......You never know what to expect from him... /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
