Having to put into the wind from your end zone, was the play that turned the momentum. And they punted out of their end zone after Whitwell turned it over on downs at the Cville 1 yard line. So your last statement in the quote is wrong. Cornersville was the better team and you all know it. However, Whitwell pulled it out because they are the mentally strongest team we played all year. They didn’t break. Hats off to them. I would have rather been defeated by 40 than how we ultimately lost. When you outplay a team all ballgame and you are the better team, it makes it harder to swallow.
