  1. These three teams will all do just fine, because they have developed programs that are consistent from year to year. However, East Literature is the team to watch in this district.
  2. When did DH announce he was not going to be AD? Do you know Coach Jones?
  3. Who won the camp game between Ensworth and Franklin? Anyone have score and details?
  4. The IHS website says that Coach Reed is the third coach in IHS history, but I believe she is the fourth...Barnwell, Winfrey, Maxwell, Reed. Could someone with firsthand knowledge confirm one way or the other?
  5. Whose responsibility is it to get the information to the newspapers?
  6. Does anyone know which AAU team Coach Reed's father coaches?
  7. In two years under Maxwell, who I think is a good coach, Indy was not able to contend. I say this based on the fact that they never finished higher than third in the regular season district race, did not advance past the district semi-finals, and did not advance past the first round of the region tournament. With that being the case, what makes you think that the new coach can do better in two years with less talent? I just don't see it happening...perhaps in four years, but again, I think it's going to take some junior/senior talent, along with good coaching, to do it. PHargis, I say this with all due respect as I think you make a lot of good points regarding a variety of issues. I'm just not sure I can side with you on this one. I hope, for Indy's sake, I'm wrong.
  8. Talent, especially older talent, wins games, and most of the talent at Independence either graduated or transferred to Riverdale. I don't believe there is a single senior on the team for next year, and the best two juniors followed Maxwell to Riverdale. That is why I say two to four years...they could hire Pat Summitt and it would still take that long, unless new talent transfers in to Indy, which would then speed up the process. You are right...time will tell.
  9. What will John be coaching at Ryan, and who is going to take his place at JPII?
  10. Glad to hear they hired a coach...this is a VERY young hire. Indy Nation will need to be patient as the cupboard is not full...not sure what's coming up in middle school...will probably take two to four years to build the program back up. Which AAU team does her dad coach?
  11. They did not hold Siegel back. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  12. My money is on Franklin, then. Is this the year that the Rebels make it back to the state tournament? If they can do so well on the AAU circuit, you would think they would have already made it to Murfreesboro by now. What is holding them back?
  13. So Sharpshooter runs the AAU program? What is the name of the Ezell AAU program? The Goodpasture AAU program? I feel like I'm closer to understanding...thanks!
  14. It is correct that Franklin finished first in the regular season last year and returns basically everyone, but Hillsboro advanced further in the tournament, beating Franklin in the district championship game. How many does Hillsboro return? If it's a lot, then I'm giving the nod to the Burros. If not, then I'm going with the Rebels.
  15. What does this mean, then? I'm confused.
  16. Thanks for the clarification on the AAU front. It was said in an earlier post that Joey Spann ran an AAU program, but I did not think that was the case.
  17. Thanks for the info. Any results/scores from camp?
  18. How did Independence fare at Shelbyville today? Who is coaching them? How many players did they have?
  19. What was the name of the AAU program that Joey Spann ran while at Ezell-Harding?
  20. In AAA, I would also add Mt. Juliet, Lebanon and Ravenwood...unless the post player decides to focus on volleyball and not play basketball.
