We had no reason to be there this year. But guess what? A bunch of 14-18 yr old kids came to work everyday and good things happened. It Could happen again next year. One thing I have learned is you never count this group of west TN boys out. If you need to r\un these KIDS down so that you can have a moral victory on a message board because you can't beat the teams in the east either.Then you go ahead!!!!!

The fire department were the ones who did the fireworks at Milan. USJ complained and we all know when U$J complains for some reason people li$ten.

I have thought alot about this and here is my post CAK = the Better team. that is plain and simple!!!!! whether they are OZ's or Privates doesnt really matter. The fact is that these are teenage boys that work their tails off to become a championship caliber team. For that I congradulate those young men. Please dont take me as a whiner because I am a realist and excuses really make me mad. This is just how I see it. For Milan we are in a bit of a quandry for a couple of reasons.... here is my take and opinion 1. We would be better prepared if USJ and JCS had not cut and run after the multiplier was put in place. There were some good games played between the three of us. Playing these teams would have helped us prepare for a team like CAK. 2. We are in a region that is so big that we cannot schedule out of region teams that could better prepare us for meeting a passing team in the playoffs. (i don't think it would have mattered.(see line 2)) 3.T$$AA does not give public schools an option of do they want to play in a all public or mixed league. maybe they should let publics choose on a divider. lol. Now take the CAK and privates out of the equation and it is Milan vs. Alcoa. As I said before I am a realist . At Milan our goal every year is to be state champs. We work hard and we enter the field with some of the best players and coaches in the state. And in August, on that first day of practice, at some point Coach Morris will say. " The Tennessee State champs are practicing today. Why not here?" And so it will begin again. a group of 14-18 year olds will go on a 10-15 week quest to see who is the best in the state. good luck CAK, Alcoa, and all the other young men out there. Because that it what it is all about. And here is hoping Charlie High will forego his senior year and sign early with UT...lol Praise the Lord for the talent he gives and the enjoyment we get out of it!!!!!!!

All I know is what I saw. An offense that had one good drive because they were constantly hit in the backfield. The QB was a trooper. But, the O-line had their hands full....

It seemed to me that the reason the quarterback was hobbling was because he got hit all the time. He may have had an injury earlier in the year but the milan Defense put him on the ground constantly. They were one dimensional long before he left. Also the back judge had operation of the play clock. It is on a remote system that he wears on his belt. If you paid attention the referee was frustrated with him and his inability to do it correctly.

Here Is all I am Saying. If we are fortunate enough to ever return to a state game then come get some. Instead of just sitting in the background and saying well we coulda beat them make us #2. CAK has a great team but they do not know how they match up against anyone that they do not play. I dont care if Alcoa says it or Murphy Fair. Let Alcoa have their thread and if you want we can start a CAK is great because they played Alcoa close this year Thread.

If you are a fan of football then you know that different people match up differently. If Alcoa wants to say it then let them say it. You can also ask them who has given them their best Games in the Championship games and I can prolly guess who they will say. The funny part is that you are begging for second....That is funny right there. OHHHHHH PLEASE LET ME BE SECOND.....hahahaha.

Here is an interpretation of what you are saying: When we played Alcoa, It Shoulda been the State Championship, If we coulda got past them, we Woulda beat anyone from the west. I guess we will never know cause you couldn't beat alcoa, therefore you shouldn't run your mouth about who you wouldn't beat from the west.Last time I checked Alcoa won the state Championship as an individual team. As far as I know it wasn't an all star team from over there. But if you need to jump on their coat tails to have a moral victory. Then so be it. Get past Alcoa meet a team at Cookeville and then you don't have to run your mouth. I agree with you on all that you said. I like the thought of being a well balanced team. But, I am biased to lining down and may the best man win type of power football that we are known for. However we have not been blessed with the lineman that we need for that. That is the nature of high school football, you line up and play with what you have dressed out. I like the way that the coaching staff adjusted its game plan last night and put some points on the board. I look forward to the next few years and hope that this young team matures into the kind of football team that I believe they can be.

Did we see the furure of Milans offense tonight. Do you think that the Dawgs will be running the spread next year?????
