  1. Laken Barnes scored two goals for Tullahoma including the game winner in the second sudden death over time. According to the TSSAA box score, Oak Ridge out shot Tullahoma by 19 shots to 8. But hey, so much for the number 1 team, statistics, and Tullahoma not deserving to be there. Keep going Cats! Congratulations!
  2. Thanks for the posts remembering Ben. I knew and worked with Ben for years as a coach, ref, and soccer association member. His two daughters played for my select teams and indoors in the past. He was deeply devoted to his family, community, and players that he coached. He will be missed. Best wishes for and condolences to his family.
  3. Tullahoma 2 and Red Bank 1 Kara Adams of Tullahoma scored a late goal to clinch the win.
  4. To all the players past and present of Warren County, I just wanted to say thank you for your support during the past few days. I especially appreciate each of you for the tribute that you paid to Coach Hyatt today by your presence today at his funeral. Take care and remember the good things.
  5. Thank you everyone for the kind response and the interest that has been shown. Yes, Coach Hyatt was a very kind man and will be missed by all who knew him. He was ever helpful. For those who have asked, he was helping his son on Saturday with his new mowing business when the mower he was driving flipped over on a bank and crushed him. Thank you for your concern and interest. Visitation will be this evening from 4:00 - 9:00 and tomorrow evening at the same time with funeral services on Wednesday at 3:30 at the McMinnville Funeral Home. Coach Hamilton
  6. WC15, thank you for going ahead and posting this. Coach Hyatt was a man with a big heart and was loved by our players. His loss has deeply saddened our team. We know that many others in the soccer community got to know and appreciate this great man and will share with us in his loss. Our deepest regrets and condolences go out to his family. As I learn of the details of his funeral arrangments, I will post them on here. Please join with us in your prayers for his family. Coach Hamilton
  7. As an official and a coach, there is one rule in High School that I like better than FIFA. Mainly, I like the injury rule where if a team has the ball you can stop play and allow them to maintain possession with an indirect kick instead of a drop ball. I hate drop ball situations and if FIFA would adopt something like that, then I could go with the same rules.
  8. Here is what I know about how the regular season ended up: 1. Blackman 2. Riverdale 3. Oakland 4. Cookeville 5. Warren County 6. Tie - Siegel 6. Tie - Lebanon 8. White County Tomorrow (Monday 10/13): White County at Blackman Lebanon\Siegel at Riverdale Lebanon\Siegel at Oakland Warren County at Cookeville Sorry, but I don't know about Lebanon and Siegel. They both finished tied on points in the regular season and tied each other in head-to-head competition. I forget what the next level of tie-breaker is. Maybe Coach Martin or Coach Shelton from Siegel can get on here and clarify who they are playing tomorrow. Good luck to everyone and remember .... have fun!
  9. WC15, thanks for the interest. Yes, I have agreed to coach the boys this Spring with Coach Brownyard as the assistant. We will be talking ... soon. See you after the girls are finished. We cannot practice or hold tryouts until February.
  10. I know you play for the boy's team, Stupid. I have read your other posts and knew you were lying all along. So now, to add to the list of bad things about you. We have a coward and a liar. Getting a good influence and example on that team or yours aren't you?
  11. Taco, you're the MAN. Not! It is unfortunate that Smyrna gets the bad rap and reputation they do because of punks like you. I know quite a few of the folks and kids and Smyrna and they are good people. It is shame that you are being fed a bunch of garbage and stirring up the hateful rhetoric. You all lost a game last year in Warren County and you all won the game against Warren County at your place. So, get over it. Yes, I know that you are not from Tullahoma and don't give a rats rear end about Tullahoma so stop the pretending. You're just looking for a chance to slander me and Warren County.
  12. Yes, I grew up playing soccer in Texas and when we moved back to Tennessee they did not have a soccer team in Germantown so I and a bunch of other guys from High School got together to play pick up soccer on our High School's football field. However, that does not have anything to do with this post. I was staying out of this discussion and minding my own business until you jumped in and started slamming me. I would have hoped you would have had enough integrity to retract your false statement you made about me. I am an old time soccer fan of Kyle Rote when he played at Sewanee and Roddy Marsh when I lived in Florida back in the 70's and followed the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
  13. Well, well, well ... I have not threatened to "beat you up." That is your low mentality. I just said that you don't have the courage to say those things to someone's face and don't have the courage to put your real name on what you say and you have proven it. No more for you.
  14. Taco, I can see your good education has been put to good use. You were wrong in your accusation and got caught in it. You would not talk so brave if you were to put your real name on your post. Pretty low class and down right cowardly to come on here calling names while you hide behind a fake name. Are you a big enough boy to back up those words or just another spoiled brat that seems to grow on trees in Smyrna!
  15. Taco, you are WAY wrong. I am not lefty05. If I have something to say on here, it will have my real name on it. Be sure to get your facts straight and you might want to talk to your coach and discuss the subject of "mending fences."
  16. What about Ann Shelton who went to Ole Miss and was highly touted. I can't find out anything about how she is doing. She is on the preseason roster and they gave her a great review saying that as a rookie she would challenge the starting keeper. Does anyone know how she is doing? Just curious. Just got an answer to my own question from Ole Miss. A shoulder injury that she had this past Spring is keeping her off the playing fields and out of the team's stats.
  17. Just wanted to thank Coaches Eric Shelton and Jeff Martin for the game that we had with them yesterday. I know they wanted the win and I know that my players and parents wanted us to win. However, it was one of the most enjoyable games that I have experienced in a while. The coaches, players, and fans were at the top in their behavior and displayed what I believe High School sports and sportsmanship should be about. The refs did a good job and were good in their communication with us. We had a good time and appreciate the hospitality that the folks from Siegel showed. Good luck with the rest of your season. Keith Hamilton Head Coach Warren County Soccer
  18. Crockett, it is interesting how small the world is sometimes and the connections we make. We recently took our daughter to start school at Florida College where I met a gentleman whose son is friends with your son. Excuse me for my forgetfulness but his name escapes me at this time. We were sitting outside the dorms while our daughters were moving in and struck up a conversation. We got to talking about where we were from and when I told him that I was from Tennessee, he told me about his son who had just attended the funeral of his friend's sister. Well, to make a long story short I knew about your situation and that was what he was talking about. That is how he and I made the connection and how small the world is. What is my point? There are a lot of people out there many of whom will remain nameless and faceless that have said a prayer on your behalf. As a parent, my heart goes out to you and your family. May God strenghten and nurture you all.
  19. Our condolences from Warren County and I will be sure to have the girls mention Chelsea and her family in our team prayer before our scrimmage at Coffee County tomorrow.
  20. East Tennessee close to Gatlinburg and Knoxville. They have a very, very good College Soccer team there and I have run into a few of their select players over the years that were pretty good. Kate is one who guest played with our D1 team about 3 or 4 years ago in a couple of tournaments and I have not heard from her since. Just trying to find out if she is still in Maryville and playing soccer.
  21. Is Kate Griffith still with Maryville H.S.?
  22. I have not seen either Red Bank or McMinn County this year, but they must both be good to knock off a pretty good Soddy Daisy team. I got to ref the Soddy Daisy and Warren County game this year and they did just about anything they wanted to at the time. If Soddy Daisy ended the season on the same level of play that they showed at Warren County and Red Bank and McMinn County beat them while playing at that level, then I would say that they are pretty good. For whatever that opinion is worth ....
  23. Yankee, the answer you are looking to in the sectionals is: Red Bank or McMinn County. Go to tssaa.org for the State's website and on their front page you can click on soccer and go the page with the brackets. Good luck and have fun!
