Watch the games. It is true that Pearl beat the Bison handily for the regular season finale last year, but the Bison should have won the Playoff game. The game came down to two plays. The Bison had Mason tackled for a loss on 4th and 8 and he broke away (D-1 player he is) and he completed a TD pass on 3rd and 23 for a TD other than that the Bison put it to them. And one more thing, high schools do not share titles. The 1 seed was SC because they had a better record. Regardless, SC was the REGION 4-3A CHAMPION not WH,PC,Grennbrier or anyone else.

We saw MJ this year. Play hard and get after them. On a side note, I know you are excited about the start to the season for Alabama. I hope something happens between now and Nov 22 for my beloved Auburn Tigers or we are in big trouble..

I have seen the last two SC games vs Portland and DeKalb County. I know that you cannot compare scores but Greenbrier was beaten really good by DeKalb and had to have the Portland FG kicker miss the extra point to pull out the victory. The Bison steam-rolled both teams. I have seen Greenbrier's stats and it looks like their main threat is the Ziegler kid.If the Bison keep him bottled up they will win this important region contest it would seem. Any ideas???

Funny how SC is "pulling" from a 4A student body but they are classified as 3A by TSSAA?? I guess the organization is giving SC favor over all the other schools in the association??

Arendall is that talented??? Why was he not already starting over Williamson?? Their defense must be rockin if they are going to hold SC to 14. SC has lost twice, but their opponents that beat them have only lost once between them. I hope the Bison come out ready to play. They looked impressive vs DeKalb County.

Hate to hear news like this at the high school level. Hopefully they will get their season on track after this week though.

Question for the Portland faithful??? Heard through the "grapevine" that Roe is hurt, Williamson and Hernandez quit the football team Monday. Any truth to the rumors or is this misinformation????

I have followed the Bison for the last few years. I know of their "struggles" with Lohin and Mason. I would not say that Lohin passed all over them though. He did more with his legs than arm. Mason was a D-1 player with D-1 receivers so he did well to. It is true the Bison have had some TD passes placed on them this year but this is a great opportunity for their DB's to step it up. I look for them to set this region straight as it should be. Maybe I will be surprised by DCHS, maybe I won't. We shall see. From years past, I do not remember DCHS having much speed, nor being able to stop the Wing-T. Greenbrier does not have the speed SC has,nor did the Bobcats match up with HHS's starters.

Have you seen both teams play or are you going off what their respective scores have been. Dekalb has beaten Warren Co, Watertown, and Greenbrier, where SC has beaten Springfield and Sycamore, and lost to Hendersonville,Beech?

Whether they win out or not, the ranking is great for the program considering where it has been. In a short period of time it is now mentioned with the long time powers. It is a reflection on not only the players but the type of coaches that have been the foundation of Patriot Football. Goodluck on your run from a former Patriot Coach.

The Bison committed too many mental mistakes to defeat the Commandos. They should eliminate those and they will be extremely competitive the rest of the year.

Funny how noone mentions White House. As everyone in the state knows they should be given their "due" respect, just ask anyone from their hometown.

I'LL assure you that you can not mix me up with whhs. I could care less if they ever win another game in any sport. As far as speed goes, they do have two swift running backs this year. They have gone undefeated in the middle school ranks for the last half decade it seems...... It just has not translated into undefeated high school teams.

I would have to agree with h'villefootball. All programs in Sumner County put in hours of work along with having to fundraise for their respective teams. That is why all the County Schools are so competitive. It is also what is rewarding for being a part of a Sumner County School.

I guess the rest of Region 4-3A should just lay down for the Devils since they are all "losing" a lot. Last time I checked graduation happens every year so the mark of good programs are the ones that keep on the same level regardless of who the players and coaches are. I can say by watching the teams in this region that they are not going to back down just because this Devil group was good in middle school. How many titles have they won since coming back to 3A? Answer is ......zero. This region is tougher all around than the 4A regiojn they played in.

People keep underestimating the Bison. All of their sports teams are having good years. The future is bright at 1040 Bison Trail. No matter what happens in this tourney, The Herd is coming!!!!

White House people still have signs up on their press-box from the 1997 state title team. They do not lack for self confidence. They think they would have a chance to end Maryville's streak if the Rebels would play them.

This is the funniest thing I have heard. Maybe the Hyde coach can play in the game this time since she wears the team uniforms. SC will take the Region Crown in going back-to-back Region Champs.

Shocking to see that h'ville would throw off their best returning player? Suspicion tells me that he will be back. This is usually just motivation to get the star to act right. I hope he is able to play for the player's sake. Wouldn't want any excuses if the Bison win back-to-back.
