  1. Out of town so missing this great matchup. Know nothing about Knox Catholic. But have to think the Blue Tornado (make a note Booger) that McCallie will win by a couple of touchdowns.
  2. A lot of love for the B teams (BA & Baylor). BA is the better team? Really? McCallie's defensive and offensive lines totally dominated. McCallie cleans up it's hiking issues and they win the game by 3 touchdowns.
  3. Booger - (teeth grind) - I have no idea what your deal is, but at least get it right - it's the Blue Tornado, not Tornados. It's OK that you are weird, just please be accurate.
  4. McCallie almost always finds a a way to put points on the board. Keeping others from doing the same is always the challenge.
  5. Baylor won the 2015 game not only because McCallie chose to not play Craig at QB, but also because Ryan Parker was a one man wrecking crew. He totally dominated that game. Riddle never had a chance.
  6. Hmm...I was at the game and did not notice any favoritism shown to McCallie. Baylor has to be favored in this year's game simply because it is at Baylor.
  7. Pretty disappointing outcome for McCallie but not surprising. First half was a pretty good game with a long opening kickoff return for BA being the difference. The second half was another story. Teams adjust to McCallie's offense and McCallie had a lot of 3 and outs after not punting in the first half. And BA ran around the left side almost at will. McCallie could not stop them - too athletic. Even when McCallie had a perfect opportunity to make a tackle, the BA runners found a way to not go down. BA is very good...do not see them getting beat this year. Up next - Baylor. Go Big Blue.
  8. There is at least one McCallie fan on here, but had to miss the game due to a friend's Mothers funeral service. Teams that have not played McCallie much have trouble with the offense. The more teams play McCallie however, the more they become adept at defending the option. McCallie is a one-trick pony this year and it will kill them when facing traditional opponeets like Ensworth, BA, and Baylor.
  9. As much as it pains me to admit it, Baylor pulled off a very impressive win against Notre Dame in the first game of the season. Thought Notre Dame would keep it close although totally expected the Red Raiders to win.
  10. The flag thrown on the final play was for a Baylor player (Walker Culver #58) shoving a McCallie player. You can see it clearly on the replay. There was no late hit on the Baylor QB that I can see. What was unfortunate is McCallie shooting off the fireworks with the injured Baylor player lying on the ground. But, once the fuse was lit, it was too late.
  11. I was at the game and watched it again on TV and did not see any cheap shot at the end of the game. I saw a Baylor QB trying to make a play (instead of just taking a knee) and I saw McCallie defenders tackle him. Please tell me about the "cheap shot" as I must have missed it. I'll go back and watch the replay again.
  12. The news media thinks it is so it must be - they are never wrong. Right?
  13. Last year the difference in the game came down to two things: High snaps by McCallie's center totally disrupted the timing of McCallie's offense. Ryan Parker totally did the same thing. Assuming #1 is corrected and knowing that Parker is (thankfully) away at West Point, this should be a really good game. Baylor has to be the favorite, but McCallie could easily win the game. Think it will be decided by less than a TD. With that said - GO BIG BLUE!
  14. A few years ago Baylor decided to play the game at their home field so McCallie did the same the next year. The atmosphere is so much better at both schools, but unfortunately the stadium capacities does limit the attendance. It is a trade-off. I'd like to see a home and home followed in the 3rd year by a neutral site game at Finley.
  15. Felling better after last night's game against Blackmon. 42-10 at halftime and 49-10 early in the third quarter. McCallie looked great on offense and good on defense. Blackmon didn't show much except for their running back.
  16. Didn't get to go to the game, but wondering what happened to McCallie's offense. In the past, I never had to worry about McCallie scoring -- I had to worry about them not stopping others from scoring. If the offense is struggling this could turn out to be a very long season. But, it is only one game and I am sure Peachtree Ridge has their typical good team. Will find out more when McCallie hosts Blackmon tomorrow.
  17. McCallie has played some good football without Craig playing QB. And it is easy to say "one knows something" after the fact. Too bad McCallie's football team didn't play with as much emotion as the kids did that made the video.
  18. Stunned is all I can say...and congratulations to Baylor. McCallie has never looked so slow and soft as tonight. There are a few things to mention, but they will come later. The bottom line is Baylor kicked McCallie's #### and they deserved the win 100%. Very, very disappointed in the Blue Tornado. They were barely a tiny rain shower tonight.
  19. Have to admit, as a former McCallie parent and current supporter of the football team, I am not really happy about the video. I also think the fireworks display after the McCallie win last year was way over-the-top. Act like you have been there.....is a good rule to follow.
  20. Actually Craig is not playing much at QB - Riddle is, and he is not a threat to take it to the house. Honestly, when Craig has played QB, he hasn't been nearly as effective this year running the ball. I think the loss of Trotter has a lot to do with Craig not being as effective. Riddle has been surprising with his passing, and it has allowed Craig to play safety which has helped the defense - so it's a win-win.
  21. OK...I'll start this.....but I really don't have any idea who will win this historic rivalry game in 2015. In past years, it always seemed like there was a clear favorite, but this year not so much. If there is a favorite it would be a 51-49 split. Now, I hope McCallie plays their best game of the year and beats Baylor by a couple of touchdowns. That would be nice.
  22. McCallie had at least three holding penalties called against them - not one, a block in the back, and an illegal touch on an otherwise successful two-point try. McCallie had a valid interception ruled incomplete. McCallie had a fumble clearly caused by the ground ruled a fumble. McCallie had at least 5 motion calls made against them. I was AT the game and the officiating was terrible, but it was NOT one-sided in the least. The motion call made against MBA at the goal line was motion...we all saw it. The box score shows MBA with 9 penalties for 73 yards and McCallie with 10 penalties for 84 yards. MBA was fortunate to escape. Enjoy the win.
  23. Nobody should ever leave MUS out of a discussion about DII-AA football.
