  1. You must have heard the stories of what happens to kids when they go to the bathrooms alone at JC games. We were hoping that wouldn't get out! Yes it's true!!! DON'T EVER GO ALONE!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> O.K. I'm just joking, but I don't see what is so bad about us. We are hard on the refs, but it's not out fault that they can't be perfect...I don't think a "no mistake" game is asking to much...hahaha Plus, I've never heard a parent chant airball??? A certain man named "Hayburner" comes to support his local team, but he's usually kicked out of the game early on...hahaha
  2. I have to throw in some thought here, even though it's not talking about the best program in last 30 yrs. It seems that today's players cannot do anything right. If they are miserable where they are for whatever reason, they cannot move or they are criticized for not sticking it out. If they do move, then a team is blammed for recruting players. If they decide to just quit all together, they are personally attacked and by this I mean rumers started about the girls as to why they quit. Basketball is very competitive and when you play for a strong team it's even more competitive. It's hard on these girls. We watch games on Tuesday and Friday, but we do not practice, lift weights, or condition with these girls. Basketball is very time consuming. It's changed over the years and what hasn't? My point is that we so called "fans" should lighten up on the players. They play hard, work hard, and do the best they can. They can never please everybody anyway and they always know that people are blaming them for that turnover or that loss. Just lighten up people. Lifes to short to always be so negative. I like this site because I like talking basketball with others that enjoy the sport. More people need to just ENJOY the sport.
  3. Upperman will do just fine. They lost a great senior class last year that had played together for years, so that was a BIG set back. But they'll get on track. LaShay is a great player, Jennifer (to me is the most consistant, even if she's not scoring she's getting all the lil things done), Megan can flat out shoot (needs to do it more), Clarissa (just break out and use that size to rough people up) The girls will get it together and no one should overlook them. I'm as big of a JC fan as it gets, but I can see the good in other teams (it's not a sin) /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  4. Uppermans gym is large enough for the student section to be on the side with every other fan (behind the score table) I always thought that this was the point in having the bleachers across from each other.
  5. Ah, we're pretty contagious. We'd have her sportin a blue wig before she knew what hit her.
  6. Thank you for putting this link up so we all can see such a wonderful story and young lady. Good luck to Merissa and her family.
  7. That's a good laugh this morning, only because your team won though. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Shows that this really happens. If my husband refed, I sure wouldn't go to the game if I couldn't handle fans yelling at him. Refs are the biggest walking targets on this earth. There gonna hear the occasional, "Why don't you just get her a saddle?" and we fans can't help that most of there names are "Baldy".
  8. THANK YOU! I'm not very good navigating around on the internet so the links you gave me are perfect!
  9. If girls basketball is of no interest to you, then why are you on a girls basketball forum??? /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  10. Looks pretty accurate, thanks. Does anyone know if there is anywhere on the Tennessean webpage that would tell total career points?
  11. Very Very proud of the girls, especially a lil #12! Hate I had to miss the tournament, whoever came up with having to work for a living is outright crazy /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  18. I wish we could listen to the game live. Does anyone know if there is a link for that anywhere??? I'm probably not that lucky though.
  19. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> thank you
  20. But I don't believe it happens often enough to put a "mercy" rule into effect. If a team is that weak then yea...there gonna take a beating, but I believe they should get to play an entire game. If their gonna run the clock on a 35 point lead are they gonna make a team down by 50 forfeit?
  21. My team is undefeated so far. I just don't think it's fair to the girls.
  22. I agree and those other girls deserve their turn at playing time.
