  1. I’m very familiar with the geography. No challenge here.
  2. They went to a bid selection. They send out requests for bids each contract cycle and the “best” bid given compensation and accommodations gets the contract. I 100% agree it should be centrally located (Nashville) to be the most fair it can be but no one in the Nashville or west has any interest in hosting it apparently. If UTM or Memphis or wherever doesn’t want it it’s not like you can force them or if UTC or Tech submit a better proposal what else would you do. I do think Chattanooga is not fair for west teams but we have 2.5 hour travel to some region games (by bus, imagine how long it takes me to hitchhike in heels!), 5 hours for a championship game would be fine by me. I just want the best atmosphere and venue for that weekend. MTSU was awful I agree and Tech field was in bad shape towards the end.
  3. Turning out to be a great championship game. Had a half of defense then a second half with a little offense.
  4. I agree. I’ve heard one of the main reasons it wasn’t considered was how terrible the titans field was. It’s well know their field doesn’t hold up at all so playing 9 games over 3 days would destroy it especially in weather like this. The new stadium will have an artificial surface I believe.
  5. Careful, that good common sense talk triggers this lady.
  6. Easy snowflake, Chattanooga is nearly 3 hours for me as well, dumb arse.
  7. Hopefully once the titans stadium is built it will be moved to Nashville and into an NFL stadium like a lot of states do.
  8. All anyone in the west has to do is bid and win it. Apparently everyone west of Nashville is to broke, doesn’t care or both. I’d be fine with a drive to the west for a championship weekend if we were to get there. People act like a drive across Tennessee is a week long trek, this ain’t Texas
  9. Yep I saw the same. That’s the first time I watched a replay. Didn’t realize who did the leg twisting that started the whole fiasco until I rewatched.
  10. That’s exactly what I thought. Seemed like a story that was sort of forced to be a story. Wasn’t very well done as it only focused on a single incident and made it look like it was just a single hot head moment then followed up by an interview from an obviously biased perspective (he literally said he bled purple and gold lol). If that’s the best they were gonna do probably should’ve just left that but on the cutting room floor.
  11. Yep, I agree with everything football related you said. As for the grub, I can’t say I agree totally. I don’t care for pico or guacamole and I’ve had great food at both and both have let me down occasionally. Overall they’re both pretty good but neither are the best I’ve ever had. I have go to’s at both and they’re not the same dish at the two places. I can’t say one is much above the other once I found what I liked from each. They’re both capable of putting out some pretty rough stuff if you choose poorly I will admit.
  12. Geez talk about not moving on! You are the only person that’s mentioned that in a month. No one in Oneida was surprised or really even cared that happened. Everyone knew if you could you would. It’s just like the late hits and the taunting, it’s just part of playing York. Been that way for years, long before they were competing for region championships or were even in this classification. Just the way it is.
  13. I watched it a couple of months ago. Good movie.
  14. I saw the jumping around and the coaches moving players around a few minutes later. Didn’t know that’s what was going on.
  15. They were funny. They cried about every flag until the comeback started and ER went on a streak of 6 penalties in a row to the York 0. They changed their tune about flags during that run lol.
  16. The announcers were talking about it as it was supposedly happening but it wasn’t on video so I can’t say for sure either way.
  17. Or just build some seating on the home side and folks will separate themselves.
  18. No way it was OK. No idea what all if anything was said between the two groups and regardless of words the ER players were absolutely wrong for squirting water at or on them. I’m sure things were said that were even worse than the water being sprayed. The ER player should absolutely be charged if evidence exists of him punching anyone just as the York player should and the alleged coaches that reportedly struck players. To be honest both showed a loss of administrative control and should be dealt with. A post season host ban at a minimum in my opinion and possibly a few students a high school athletic career should be over.
  19. It happened but the York cheerleaders were apparently having words with the ER sideline before hand. The issue was resolved when the York cheerleaders went and stood on the York sideline. It’s almost as if having home fans and cheerleaders and visiting fans and cheerleaders all on the visiting sideline is a terrible idea or something
  20. I don’t disagree, they’re not blameless but the cloches can see it happening, they should address it long before that point.
