  1. tennesseeallstar.com has a video and write up. here's my mvp for the game, mr. yazzie.
  2. I don't think he ever said that. If so I'd like to have you show me. Eric Gordon is a machine, everyone knows that. Yazzie is very athletic player who slightly overachieved this year. Don't get me wrong, he is one of the best players Hendersonville has had of late. But there is no chance for him getting a full ride at an SEC or Big 12 school, he is just not that good. With that said, he certainly could make those teams as a preferred walk-on or go to a smaller school and do more of the same that he did at HHS. These big schools send letters to hundreds of players, most of them meaning nothing except "Hey we saw you play, you're pretty good." Just cause someone says he got a letter from Missouri doesn't mean they are recruiting him hard. There are plenty of good players not listed on Rivals, and those web sites are for the fans. Schools don't use Scout.com or Unapproved Website to organize their players or any of that. No one really knows for sure all of the players they might have contacted, except for the player himself.
  3. Just curious, what is it if you go back a few years?
  4. The Tennessean has Roper with 48 carries and Gambino with 49. Roper also missed a few games earlier this year with a foot injury. Take away that injury and I'm sure he would be right up there with Gregory in carries, who has been healthy all year.
  5. Roper and Gambino are getting the majority of the carries this year, not Gregory. I also think Armstrong has been battling some injuries which is why he hasn't played as much. I don't get the part about Wall, Watson, or Head not being on the field cause of seniority when they are seniors. I can't think of any underclassmen that aren't playing and are more talented than the starters, who specifically are you talking about?
  6. Hatfield has been doing the same thing for over a decade now and look where it's got him: 2 State Championship appearances, several region titles, with just one losing season(2005). Correct me if I"m wrong but I believe he's the winningest head coach in HHS history. The players respect him as well as the school. Talent wise, HHS is far from the top, but somehow they are always sneaking into the playoffs with a winning record. Coach Hat doesn't deserve this kind of criticism.
  7. The Tennessean said that Boo Butler dislocated his shoulder. With that in mind, I doubt he plays. I think McGavock wins against Gallatin minus Boo. 24-17
  8. Having been a soccer referee before I know how tough it is to get every call right. It seems as you can never have the perfect angle on the call. Almost every call can go either way. I have no problem with the foul being called on Govea the other night but rather the red card that she was given. I've seen a lot of games and I've never seen the center ref send off a player for a play like that(a questionable foul as well). A yellow would've been so much more acceptable. I don't understand how the ref can give a red to a player, the best on the team nonetheless, who committed a questionable foul.
  9. I've never seen them pass this much. It does lead to some more big plays but sometimes it can lead to some big mistakes. We need to go back to the old Hendersonville ways of just pounding the ball and and the occasional pass to catch the defense off guard. HHS needs to utilize the playmakers they have in the backfield more.
  10. I think that was his prediction, and it was posted at 5:55 and the game didn't start til 7. I was there, HHS lost on penalty kicks.
  11. Ravenwood wins 4-2 in PK's. Tough defense all game from both teams, it was 0-0 going into PK's. It was really tough for the Commandos tonight without Govea.
  12. Well if the Hunter's Lane story is true(as it seems to be), this makes this game not as much as a must win for the Commandos. Still its the final regular season home game, and it would be a confidence booster heading into the playoffs with a win. Thoughts?
  13. Should be a good game. I'll go 1-0 HHS
  14. Hendersonville played so sloppy tonight. The lack of a passing game, poor special teams, and a defense that struggled tackling, lost the game for us. They really didn't look all that well from the outlook. Congrats on the win Gallatin.
  15. Questionable calls always seem to happen in soccer. It's a shame that it is that way but you just have to go with it.
  16. I'm happy to hear about a Commando win but losing Govea really hurts. Will she be out for 2 games or just 1?
  17. Am I missing something? Are you considering Gallatin to be a better team than Hendersonville right now?
  18. Hillwood probably won't stop Davis so I look for Antioch to walk all over Hillwood. 32-9
  19. Franklin County should not be playing a 2A school
  20. Clarksville is an underrated football team. They are my pick
  21. I also think Hendersonville will win. Coach Plummer knows how to prepare his players for the big games and they always seem to come through in the clutch.
