Marion is going to be decent. I kno Guyear was gone during camp so Cody prolly had more attention on him then what he will see during the season. But Henager is jus going to keep getting better, He isn't quite as big as Jurick but is More athletic, has More heart, and can step out and will kill you with the 12-15 footer. He is the next D-1 prospect in our district. He and Teddy Guyear are going to be fun to watch together, I expect together they should be counted on for 40 pts 25 rebs a night. Unless someone keeps em from it.... As for Seq., They really intrest me. I have always thought that they were one of the most well coached teams around. I am really interested to see if the youngest Cartwright kid gets any playing time, he is one to keep an eye on in my opinion. And South Pitt, Ah who really knos. They are athletic and T. Robinson is really fun to watch but I don't think there going to be anything special. They beat Marion by 5 or 7 at Camp but that was without Guyear. With that said they will be fun to watch but as for the battle with them and Marion, its gonna be Marion again.

For this game to even be close, Marion has to protect the basketball, and they are terrible at doing so. Maybe IMO the biggest weakness in their game. Howard by 28

Lets see, Marion has the next Kid to go D-1 in our district, followin Jurrick, In Cody Henager. And has a guard that is as good as we've had in this area in a while. Their young, and fun to watch. Mark, wow man I'm glad to see you posting. As for my list, I'll explain, in no order Nick Bryant- I played with him since I was 5, maybe younger. He was a Co-Captin along with me and Nat in high school. He was our leader. avg like 22 a game his senior year and prolly 16 or 17 his jr year. I always felt that if we got him the ball he was gonna score, and could shut down anyone on the other end of the court. Jeremy Rose- I always thought he was the best player on the court no matter if we were playing Howard or Bledsoe. He was as athletic as they come and had a natural stroke. I guess he was someone I looked up to since he was an upperclassman and there for I possibly gave him more credit than what he deserves, cause obviously no one else agrees with me. Craig Lewis - This is a guy I always heard stories about. I put him at 5 jus for the fact that I don't kno alot/enough about him. He is a guy that I love hearing stories about and will usually pick anyones brain if they knew him. Tommy Ramsey - I played a lil pick up deal with him one time, and he was unbelievable and hadn't played in like two years. He is another guy that I don't kno as much about, but i have seen tape and he could fill it up. Mark Tate - well I am obviously partial to you too. He plays on the same Mens league team as I do . I never got to see you in high school other than some tapes. The only reason I said a college scholly doesn't make you #1 is jus to prove the point that Rose if he woulda had any grades at all woulda got a scholly. Mark you kno what I think of you, and you were obviously deserving of being on any list.

Tough Loss. I really believe that you got to attack a big man, and it don't sound like Marion did that. Rodman15, really good post, i agree with everything you said. MCRoadWarrior and NoHope, great job as usual. Yall along with Hoopitup always keep me updated since i can't make it out to games. I wished we had someone givin these game by game updates for Grundy like yall do. it really is appreciated. its tough playing that many games in a a stretch like that, espically one like the Hixson game last night. really drains the kids. But now they can rest in get ready for some border wars comin up with Whitwell and SP.

I would love to see this one, I am really intrested to see how Cody does against Jurrick. For Marion to beat East Ridge they gotta take it at Big Phil. He is going to block a fair amount of shots but regardless you gotta attack him, something Grundy didnt do to Cody. I think Marion by 4

wow tough game for Teddy on the offensive end. Its really good to see the team effort. I wasn't there but it looks like another solid game for Cody, while Hargis continues to step up.

Del first off i was jus givin you a hard time. I stand by my statement about taking Rose over Mark, I know Mark, he is a good friend of mine but I jus think Rose was that good. As for college coaches only wanting the best players. Obviously, but if you dont have the grades to get a scholly does that make you less of a player? As for some of Grundys best, its a joke my name was even brought up. "MY" top 5 would be Rose #1, Ramsey 2, Nick Bryant 3, Mark Tate 4, and the late great Criag lewis at 5. but those are jus the ones on my list. sincerely , Chase Johnson

Well first off Outcast if u think Marion won because of the coach then you shouldn't be allowed to post again. The reason people get on the Marion coach is cause Marion is so talented, so they should win some games. As for talent I said i thought Marion had more talent, espically topline talent. As for the game, I thought that Teddy set the tone early and cody was the biggest factor, considering that the Grundy players wanted no part of him under the basket. Jeremy Hargis really impressed me, and his attitude is jus great. He wants to get down there and scrap and he always seems calm no matter what the score. I really liked Bailey too, and why he isn't startin, well i guess thats why im postin and not a coach huh. haha. I really think Corp played GREAT D, I was proud of him. Grundy, in my opinion jus played scared alot. Coach Holt did all he could to get them to snap out of it, but that along with losin Butner reallly hurt. I think that Kreh Partin really played his butt off, I am more and more impressed everytime i see the kid. Sartain really steped up on both ends of the court. Derek really played tough but jus couldnt get things to fall, things i kno he hits more times than not. it was a tough loss for Grundy. we hate losin to Marion, but it was another great battle. I for one, obviously wanted Grundy to win. But I couldnt be happier for my lil cousin and Cody and Corp.

Well first off Mark Tate shouldn't even be mentioned in the same category as Jeremy Rose. I kno both, played with both and this is a no brainer. Size, well Marks got it there, but thats it. As for old school players there is no doubt there was some great ones. But the old people want to put down the young ppl, and the young ppl wanna put down the old. But athletes these days run fast, jump higher and to say a Nick Bryant isnt or wasnt as good as his uncle is honestly laughable. Ill make a list soon, but i haven't got enough time now. as for the '01 boys. I was one. and I really don't think there was anyone better..take it for what its worth. David did you hurt yourself jumping off our bandwagon?

Well it looks like due to some unfortunate events I might be able to see the game tomorrow night. I am hyped to see this battle, and to see my youngest son Boo Shrum play. I am looking foward to a good one.
