Ok, ok, my bad. i didn't mean that as a shot against DB as much as against the SP players (i mean it definitely was a shot at DB, just not as much as you took it). So, i apologize. could anybody fill us in about this "sucker punch" incident?? with police and handcuffs?? i don't know anything about this. i was workin' and didn't get to go to the game. also, i'm with ya on the zone. i don't get it either. of course, if you've got a bunch of players who don't care, even if they're athletic, i guess an agressive m-t-m would make them look even more foolish. maybe the zone is just to sit back and take it like kindasorta men.

Look, here's the deal....All I hear is "Wait till we get a gym." I know all the problems they have with practicing and playing away and all, but let me tell you this...What do they say next year if the same crap happens?? Excuses will be gone. So, then what? Wait till we get those new basketballs?? I've seen the Pirates this year. The problems aside from the gym are much deeper than the gym itself. You've got a bunch of me's who don't listen to their coach (and guess what guys...he does actually know what he's talking about) and only want to get their names in the paper. Your names are in the paper alright....losing to David Brainerd! Way to go!

They probably just think that because you guys can pick and choose the athletes you want (I believe it's called recruiting, but I could be wrong) unlike "actual" public schools. Any school that's got parents camping out to get their kids in can obviously pick who they want. how can you say anybody had a solid game and drilled shots all night long when they lose by 25-30 points?? ain't nothin' solid about that. all you hear from the jasper folks is "team, team, team." all you hear from pirates is "we won the football championship, so who cares? oh, and what's-his-name had a great game in a 30-point loss to our biggest rival." give me a break! guess what....football is over! and if we don't start playing like a team and drop the street ball attitude it'll be football season sooner than later (do they even have baseball at SP anymore?). i get the feeling that's what some of these players want anyway. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" it's makes me ANGRY /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":angry:" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> because they've got the talent to compete.

SP is A LOT better this year because they have better, more mature athletes who (i think) have some senior leadership finally. Jasper is pretty good this year, too, no doubt. Man, it's put something about Jasper on here and watch you go and make a fool of yourself for a couple of pages, huh? Only a couple of your statements are even worth taking pot-shots at. Here they are: 1. You take all Jasper sports seriously! Hahahaha! Wow, you might want to watch the news sometime. There's a little more out there. Let me guess....the rest of your time is spent with World of Warcraft?? 2. Every lineman at SP will tell you that they learned more about offensive line play from Coach Baxter (who return, thank God, this year, and probably had as much to do with us winning the state as anyone) in three weeks of fall practice than they learned from Boeck in three years. No doubt Boeck knows everything about the O-Line (that's for sure), but they'll tell you to the man that he doesn't know how to teach it. After all, that's part of what a good coach is....a good teacher. That's what Jasper needs.....Oh, and also to not let the "fans" call the shots....but that's another thread, isn't it?

He is a great coach, and we're lucky to have him. Jasper was INSANE to let him go. Don't know if he's acheived "living legend" status yet, though. I guess it's in progress! At South Pittsburg, it takes winning championships to get that. Not like at Whitwell and Jasper, where winning 8-10 games a year (in basketball) or 5-6 (in football) will get you "living legend" status. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

I agree. I think both of the SP/Marion games will be battles! I wouldn't be surprised if they split and each game comes down to the last shot. Should be great to watch. GO PIRATES!
