  1. Quote: Oh ok gotcha. Dickens is a "transfer" correct? or did you recruit her too like heady? How about that game last night options? Sounds to me like if you hadn't had all the help from your "transfers" then CR might have gotten boat raced! I don't have a dog in this fight, but I do live in Fentress Co. and just to set the record straight when you leave any of the four elementary schools, the student may choose to either attend YAI or Clarkrange. If you were a girl with any basketball talent what so ever, which school would you choose? And YAI changes coaches every couple of years now, so it doesn't take a genius to figure out why players are going to CR. Believe me, Lamar doesn't haven't to recruit!!!!!!!
  2. I agree that there is a MAJOR problem at YAI. Back to the FL trip - each boy only had to pay $125 and for three meals. I know for a fact those two boys had already paid their money. So there was no excuse!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS MACON CO.
  3. I don't understand how a trip that the "team" is taking is not mandatory. Do players just get to pick and choose which games they want to go to? It was supposed to help them bond and get better as a team. The freshmen that went became the starting second baseman when Stephens quit, so it seems to me that you would want all of your starters to go. The reason Norman was told he might be needed in the outfield was because York desperately needed a good outfielder and that he had a good arm. I'm not saying I agree, because he is an awfully good short, I'm only telling what I know was said. Oh, well, doesn't matter now. I wish all of the seniors the best of luck, and hope the team can do better next year.
  4. Just to set the record straight...Losing their short stop did hurt them because they had to pull an outfielder in to play short. It didn't hurt losing the other one, and yeah they both missed games and practices because they were too busy with their girl friends. I sure don't agree with everything the coach did, but you can't let players play if they don't do what they are supposed to do. The night YAI lost to Upperman, Stockton pitched a hecka of a game for York. If the other seniors had been there to get some hits, it might have been even more interesting. But good luck to Upperman throughout the tourney. Oh, and the York/ Macon game was a great game. Stockton pitched well, and Jones helped put up some big runs for the Dragons. Too bad for York they couldn't put things together sooner.
  5. OMG Yeah, having first locked up and all the advantages that go with it. Who in their right mind would want that?
  6. You are such a classless jerk!!!! Your boys were spitting on our goal posts was what got all that started. And you're a bigger idiot that you've already proven yourself to be over and over again, if you think there is no cussing in football. As others said earlier , no one was making excuses - just stating facts. If you read through all the posts most of those people weren't even from Jamestown. They were stating the facts and showing some concern for a bunch of 15 to 18 year old KIDS. Thank you for caring about the health and welfare of our kids!!!! You all won fair and square so why don't you quit you're whining and find something better to do.
  7. I was just reading this thread b/c I know some Morgan Co. folks, but I'm lost on the coaching comments. Who is Sunbrigh't coach and where is he from? What is "pleading the fifth" suppose to mean?
  8. Interesting name you have for someone who is pretending to know so much about Fentress Co. football. The Pee Wee league was started either 12 or 13 years ago and Crush has been playing on and off for longer than that. I do agree that the programs have helped the HS team, but I also feel that last years and this years teams have more talent than we usually have. I don't know for sure which year it was, but YAI beat Livingston twice in the same year in the early 80's. I think it was McCoin's Senior year. Why do we always go back in time on a YAI and LA thread? My prediction for this game --YORK 35 LA 7 GO DRAGONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Gas to Smith CO. $20.00 Ticket in the game $5.00 Pickle on a stick $2.00 BEATING SMITH CO. in the HOLE - PRICELESS!!!!!!!
  10. "Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda" You sound like a Cannon Co. fan.
  11. Just want to congratulate the Dragons. 37-9 wasn't quite the score I expected, but a win is a win. York came out a little flat again. I hope the kids get fired up for next week against Smith Co. since the Owls are coming off a BIIIIIGGG loss to TC. Go Dragons!!! 3-0 let's make it 4-0 !!
  12. During the York game, it was assumed you had no kicking game. Otherwise, yep, kinda odd.
  13. I was only saying that a lot of people from Smith and Cannon were on here talking, but I know that York won the region last year and they have a lot of tallent coming back just like Cannon does. Smith is good year after year, but I don't think they have as many starters returning as the other two.
  14. There's a lot of talk about Smith and Cannon. York's defense is going to be something to see. I'm glad I'm too old to play. They will put points on the board as well.
