I wouldnt say that all programs are cheating. There are some that are trying to do it the right way. Those are also the teams that are middle or bottom of the pack. There are all sorts of tales of players having keys to the gym, prohibited practices, recruiting, players living out of district or even out of state. People seem to look the other way when its their school and cry foul when its someone elses school. But I can tell you I have never read on here someone crying foul at their own school. I dont think the Besty girls should be punished. From what I understand, most of them are homegrown. I, however, think the coach(s) should be punished. Immediately and swiftly.

They've been getting closer. That one coach they had for a while did a decent job getting them closer. That last step is the hardest to make. We will see if this continues or if they are just flash in the pan. They playing with a bunch of seniors?

What happened to that coach. He had been there longer than any other girls coach I remember.

I hope that DD isnt seriously hurt. Wouldnt mind seeing them knock off Cosby if Unaka wins Monday.

How does hampton only score 27? NG is no slouch, but that shocks me.

Dorman is that HUGE school next to I-26 that you pass on your way to those SC beaches. Looks like a small college from the road. Pretty sure enrollment is bigger there than any school this side of Nashville. Good luck to Betsy down there.

I think every team in the conference I have seen so far has been small. Not sure about North Greene. Its a guards game - which Cloudland is seeing right now. Its what makes North Greene (McNeese girl) Hampton (dugger, bowers, olivera) and Unaka (winters, colbough) so tough. Once Cloudlands guards figure things out (Matt will make them) they will be ok.

They had so much to build on. Hope it all works out for them. Birchfield and Chambers will have them ironed out come tourney for sure.

Wow! I know they've had some feeder programs win games locally - but to say multiple state titles? If SHHS isnt going to win them in the next two years, no one else will. Maybe there's more talent than i think... Washington Co is replacing 2 head girls coaches this year...will be interesting to see how it turns out.

I dont know much about your #1 and #5. But #2 cusses like a sailor - heard him using F word several times with in a 2 minute stretch one time - be ready for that. #3 - didnt he get let go @ unaka for illegal practices - at a elementary school or something? #4 Hes a good man, had no idea he applied for that job last year. How sure are you about that? All of these guys can coach though.

Agree. They losing any seniors? Cant figure out why/how UH beat this team @ Snavely. UH is terrible. Seemed like the loss was avenged in the 40 point beat down they put on UH friday.

Agreed. CB is a fine coach and have heard he is an even better human being. Wonder if any of his players would go with him if he were to get/accept the job?

N. Greene coach would be a favorite for the job. No idea on his interest level though.

No way Barnwell leaves SH. Doubt current Unaka coach leaves unless he's forced out. I do see Unaka former coach being very interested. My guess is an in-house hire.
