TROY NICKERSON USA WRESTLING TO HOLD CLINIC AT THE HERITAGE CATOOSA FS\GRECO BORDER BATTLE MAY 14TH Nickerson is a collegiate national champion wrestler from New York. Nickerson attended Chenango Forks High School in Binghamton, New York. At Chenango Forks, Nickerson became the first five-time High School state champion (Div IV) of New York and amassed a record of 217-6 while winning several junior national championships. After graduating from high school Nickerson attended Cornell University, where he won three EIWA wrestling titles and was a rare four-time All-American. In his junior year, Nickerson won the 2009 NCAA wrestling title at 125 pounds. He finished 2nd as a true freshman, 3rd as a sophomore, and 4th as a senior with a total career record of 97-8. He served as captain during his senior year and was a member of the Quill and Dagger society. So on a Day with Tornado warning's and bad weather all over Tn... how fitting that Team Tornado won the Tornado Freestyle Duals held @ Science Hill High yesterday. Team Tornado Team Va. Elite and Team Chattanooga Wrestling all finished tied for first but the winner on criteria with most falls was TEAM TORNADO ...2nd place was Team Va Elite and 3rd was Team Chattanooga Wrestling 1 Team Tornado beat Team Va Elite 2 Team Va Elite beat Team Chattanooga Wrestling 3 Team Chattanooga Wrestling Beat Team Tornado Great gym full of wrestling with the state represented well and its good to see all these guys working in the spring and summer to get better. Best part for me was to see guys that are great in folkstyle not being scared to put it out there even if freestyle was a new thing to them. I and many other parents will miss Coach Reichel at Red Bank He has been a great Coach to my child and and a friend. People have ask my son and I many times why he was going to Red Bank and the answer was always Coach Reichel.This guy is one of the best technical wrestling coaches around.The Red Bank program has just started to build some enertia and now it will ....I am afraid ...go backwards once again.The team was poised to make a run at winning region duals and small school state duals next year with 7 returning state quailifiers two of wich placed in state 2010 and one 2009. I understand budget cuts but think it will be hard to find a Coach to replace Reichel from the current staff since there is not a position open to teach at the school. Red Bank will be put in the situation of some other programs. A Coach ...not a Wrestling Coach ... Coaching Wrestling. GOOD LUCK TO COACH REICHEL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If your school has an opening this guy is the man for the job !

RED WHITE AND BLUE WRESTLING Join Coach Shane Turner(Coach to many state champs and Fargo placers) one of the Southeast's best Greco and Freestyle Coaches with a lots of other guest clinicians who will be running the room @ Red Bank HS . Workouts are Monday thru Thursday at 6pm. The goal is to get as many different workout partners as possible to attend. The Red Bank wrestlers cant afford to pay per month just to workout and some of the other wrestlers out there in our community cant either. WE WILL HAVE WORKOUTS DURING SPRING BREAK !!!
