  1. Game is at Fulton so we'll have to endure the Knox County refs and their home-cooking! Lol, just kidding.
  2. Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the pass has to be catchable in high school for the ref to call interference.
  3. That's exactly what I've been hearing. Big game for us too. Hope y'all enjoy your trip to Maverickland.
  4. I'm worried about this game M4L and Seahawks. In a few years I won't be so worried but Heritage has gotten better and they aren't the doormat they used to be.
  5. Yep, I agree Central gets the win but I think it'll be a little closer. Something like 28-20 Central. Central seems to be very good this year with that dominating win over SD.
  6. I'd be lyin' if I said I wan't worried. That's a long, long streak we have going there.
  7. Yes they are well coached and will hit you in the mouth for sure. That's what I'm hoping will carry us through this what I hope will be a successful year.
  8. I'm not sure what to expect from the Mavs this year. The book is that they're extremely young and that they'll struggle. I think with Greeneville's OL we'll have a tough time getting stops. I never pick against the Mavs so I'll just hope we do well.
  9. Yes it will be. You going up there, Space?
  10. Who do we scrimmage tonight and where is it. I might get over there if it's at home.
  11. Yessir! Our first series we couldn't move it. After that, we scored every series, running or passing. Now, don't get me wrong, I doubt we would have competed well with Fulton during that regular season but don't forget that y'all had a bunch of new starters (who turned out to be spectacular players). You know, I knew better than to rebut uofl given what I knew I'd start, but oh well, it's a good way to start out our new district! Amiright?
  12. Tad, it was even, like I said. Yes, y'all got a lot better with the beginning of the season, but at that time it was even. FWIW, we're in a, uhm, rebuilding year this year....
  13. Last year at Lake City wasn't close but you're abolutely wrong about the year before that at Fulton. That scrimmage was even.
  14. And how many teams can beat that line-up year in, year out? Especially Alcoa. Loudon would have matched up well with CAK last year though IMO. My $.02 is that everybody ought to just calm down and see how it plays. Harig seems to me to be a nice up and comer who totally exceeded expectations at Loudon last year. If you go back a ways on these posts most everyone agreed that it would be hard to get a big name in Knox County. So a good young coach seems to be the best alternative. I understand West fans being upset about the lack of an in-house hire but Harig has proved himself in 3A.
  15. I know Matt Fox is signing with ETSU today. Congratulations to him. Who else from AC is signing?
  16. To be fair, West has had several very good players the past few years (those already named like Cottrell and Marshall/Hoxey/Bacon/Francis/some very good, physical receivers during Francis' tenure - though their names escape me/Will Coley, who went to the AF Academy/a lightning quick small back whose name also escapes me) but the majority was a bunch of hard-working yeoman types who were smart and could execute at a high level, which of course is a testament to good coaching. That is what made me pull for West even after they cleaned our clock in the playoffs a few years back.
  17. Okay, thanks. That's interesting. I guess it makes sense with West, Powell, Halls and a few others to be in that one.
  18. The bar has been lowered, which means that the new coach might not have as much pressure as before last year. Some of the issues with the previous coach are known but lots of posters on here have alluded to others. So it couldn't get much worse than it was with Allen. A new coach can use that nowhere to go but up mentality to his advantage which could make it more attractive now than before.
