  1. Couldn't pass a new teaching qualification test is what I was told?
  2. A new coach has been hired. Don't know his name, I think he is from West Tennessee.
  3. Brick By Brick!! Kyle Oliver became a Vol For Life tonight!! Joining Jack Jones as a Tennessee Volunteer!
  4. To my knowledge that has never really been a problem. However, Making enough money to cover some costs do to a lack of gate would be a major problem. I have seen basketball games where several of those listed schools might not bring 30 people to SCHS.
  5. You do know he can only go by what the coaches give him. He starts on them in the spring and unfortunately sometimes by the time they go to print in late July some players may not even be with the teams. So yes sometimes they may not be totally accurate. Its the same way with all the College football previews that come out each spring like Football Time, Athlon, Lindy's etc... lot's of times they aren't accurate when the season starts.
  6. Let me get this straight. This is the Proposed Region: Region 3-3A: Brainerd Chattanooga Christian School East Ridge Grundy County Howard McMinn Central Notre Dame Red Bank Sequatchie County Signal Mountain So does this mean 9 Region games +1 (Non-Region Game)? If that is the case and this goes through then Sequatchie & Grundy might not get 250 visiting fans all season. Unless Signal Mountain happens to be visiting that season. I would say McMinn Central as well unless Seq., Grundy & Signal visit. There goes the traditional Valley opponents and the gate money. Please tell me I'm wrong and it would split into two four or five team districts?? I would be fine with a Grundy, Sequatchie, Signal Mtn., Red Bank & Notre Dame region/district.
  7. He has done one for over 25 years. Haven't seen anything that he wouldn't!
  8. Nice article on the new facility! http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2014/jun/13/new-sequatchie-building-covers-many-activities/
  9. 1-1 Was really impressed with Indians defense. Offensive needs work, have to find someone that can catch the football.
  10. The turf went down in the building late last week! I haven't seen it in person yet but have seen pictures from facebook and it looks good.
  11. Is that the only other one they will have this spring? Are they having a (purple & gold) game this year?
  12. I heard something today about a scrimmage tomorrow (Monday) is this true? If so where & when and any more?
  13. That's the same color as all the metal flashing on the all the schools and buildings.
  14. The end facing the high school sets below grade. Here are a few more one from the south end and one the west!
  15. Turf goes in sometime in the next week or so.
  16. I've been out of the loop and just found this out. This is nuts!!!
  17. Yeah, I still wish they would have went ahead and made it a bit bigger. You know in 5-10 years they will want to expand it.
  18. Most of the game the Indians had 4 or 5 Freshman on the field on defense. Still like where this team is headed in the next year or two if they stick together.
  19. Nice, still think the next 3, 4, 5 years could be special!
  20. Sequatchie wins 31-14! Indians have got to cut down on the mental mistakes that resulted in penalties that resulted in two touchdowns being called back. Its good to see a lot of Freshmen getting playing time throughout the game! That will be big later in the season and going into next!
  21. I was surprised after all the ones who moved on to HS but they are still pretty good this year. Sequatchie Middle school in the last two weeks have beat South Pittsburg 30-0 and Grundy Co. 40-12
  22. I thought it might go something like that. I read all the previous posts the last two weeks and just thought some folks might be in for a little surprise. I see the potential for Sequatchie's program to really take off over the next several year. The Middle School program won the conference championship last year and are 2-1 so for this year with a 30-0 win over South Pittsburg and last night 40-12 over Grundy. It just looks like things have slowly started turning for the Indians.
