I agree MtP has some talent and success from time to time, but wasn't aware they produced alot of D1 talent. Who they sent to D1 teams recently?

Jason Hoath would be a popular hire, but until the athletic culture at SHHS changes to encourage multi-sport athletes; the football program may continue to struggle.

I think "Papa's" kids go to a school in Williamson Co. The names I'm hearing lately as a possible candidates are; Turchetta (sp?), Hoath, Herzog.

2009 football season was the last winning season not 2010. 8-2 Regular Season losing to the eventual 4A State Champs (Giles Co) and 5A State Runner up (Columbia Central). I agree it started down hill in 1999 with that 1-9 season and hasn't really recovered since.

SH has always played "second fiddle" to Columbia Central. The Director of schools is a Columbia boy through and through. The SH administration needs to have the nads to stand up. Glad to see the advertisement for Head Coach has a broad range of classification endorsements.

Hopefully SH will make a good hire that can stablize the program for the long term and it needs to happen soon. Spring practice is just around the corner.

AP's Head Coach has resigned and they went 2-9 last year. Not sure their talent level is all that good?

Interesting...........? SH has been told they can't advertise the position on tssaa.org site because they don't have a teacher position open. Columbia Central is advertising on tssaa.org for off and def coaches and it doesn't appear they have teacher positions open either; per the Maury school system's website. Is there a double standard within Maury Co School system?

The job is not posted on tssaa.org. Nobody currently at the school is qualified imo. Ackley, probably not. Left the teaching profession to pursue a position in health care.

Eddie, You seem to know alot about CU Football. Why don't they do more for the seniors at Senior Day? I noticed at Bethel their seniors were presented with a nice frame with their pictures etc on them. Then at Lindsey Wilson their seniors were presented with plaques. At Cumberland they got their name called out over the PA system and that was it. Also, why don't they have some kind of End of The Year Banquet. Only school and football program that I know of that doesn't do some kind of End of The Year Banquet to recognize Seniors, Conference and NAIA awards etc.

The Cumberland Bulldogs finish the season 8-3. They are the winningest college football team in Tennessee over the last 3 years! DANG GOOD DAWGS !!
