  1. Which overton school is this? It ain't the one in memphis is it? and which matters most what you have done or what you are doing?
  2. I am happy to know that you guys are making it through this tough time. I spoke with Coach Catlin at White Station and he said he called you to check on you all. He expressed to me that your area was like all the others...some were fortunate and others not. He and I both want to extend our hand of friendship and if there is anything you guys need let us know. After all the drama that has happened around us we both feel comfort in knowing that it is people like you, your wife, Rev. Ronnie, myself and Coach Catlin that truly understands why we are here on this earth....to be kind to our fellow man and help others when needed. May God bless you all in your time of recovery! SDOG
  3. I hate the drama too Lady R, but it only ends when EVERYONE acts appropriately and when there is an incident...tell the truth and everyone stop trying to drag this guys name through the mud....i saw him and he didn't seem any more over the top then anyone else in the alley....so everyone please take a moment and go spend some time with their own kids and forget about all of this...does all of this really matter in the scheme of things? I mean is this the reason that the lord above put you on this earth, to bad mouth some guy who is passionate about his team? I did not get on here to start all of this i just wanted to have a moment to congratulate the teams and share what I experienced. So could we end this board? Best wishes to everyone next year...I am not sure if I will make the trip cause all of this petty stuff is not my speed. I probably will and just keep my distance.
  4. I wanted to take a moment to say congratulations to Columbia Central winning the boys team, to Hendersonville for winning the girls team, and to Michael Poirer for winning the individual title and being named Mr. Bowler of the year. What a season for Columbia! Coach Ransom and your entire coaching staff have my utmost respect for a job well done....it seems that you are truly changing these kids lives. But it doesn't go without saying that the rest of us wish we too were blessed with the facilities that your teams and others have a chance to bowl in. That's not to say that you still don't have to go out and bowl. As a spectator at this tournament I was truly impresed by the White Station girls team. They seemed to be a very fundamentally sound group and on top of that beat a talented Soddy Daisy team. I am sure that we will see more of them in the future since they boast no seniors or juniors for that matter. I hate to end on this but I will....I was disturbed by the actions of the Soddy Daisy parents as well as the disrespect of some of the players towards the White Station team. I also was in shock when I witnessed the same thing after the match between Hendersonville and Hixson girls. I thought this was about what we can do for the kids and helping them succeed not about parents continuing to live vicariously through their children for what they have lacked in their childhood. What has happened to sportsmanship and losing gracefully?
  5. Hey guys just a clarification here...the individual averages should not include district play...according to TSSAA guidelines the individual averages are computed from the first contest to the day BEFORE the district tournament starts...hope this helps...good luck to all! Go Bulldogs!
  6. nice name...it must be a "play on words" to describe to all of us what you really are.
  7. Yeah, can we not just all get along...I mean isn't this about the kids and how we can change their lives? Just a thought from a bowler's parent. But before I leave...bowlerman--you guys aren't the only ones who sacrifice for the kids and help fund raise and help do things for rings and uniforms...so please understand that all of us just want the best for our kids and for no one out there to do anything that would unfairly hinder a child from performing at their best or for any of us responsible parents and coaches to do anything wrong as well. Best wishes to everyone out there as we enter our respective tournament times. And if I don't come on again...Happy thanksgiving!
