  1. Aah, good old fashioned Christian principles! CPA is a great, well coached team with tons of talent. No disrespect should be directed at these young men.-------------The disrespect should directed to the place where it belongs.--- The T$$AA--- for continuing to let this travesty occur. The 'playing field' will never be level because some coaches and/or schools, intent on winning at any cost will always continue to find ways to bend and break the rules to their advantage. It's time the T$$AA stepped up and put this school where they belong, in a classification where they can recruit openly by the rules.
  2. If LA hadn't scored more points than Cookeville, you probably would have won too! LOL HOGEYE fans, cheer a little extra for me tonight. Can't shake this bug.
  3. + 1-- Good luck on the drawing!
  4. You need to reread my post. I said SOFTER schedule. At no time did I say Soft schedule. If you think losing two longtime rivalries such as LA and Upperman off the schedule doesn't make the schedule SOFTER, then I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
  5. You are correct. Without looking at the schedules, I was depending on my memory from past years. As you can see, my memory has grown a little fuzzy I've seen a lot of games and a lot of schedules over the years. I was thinking of the schedule with home and home games against Upperman and LA along with playing in the State Farm Classic at Riverdale and about any other good competitive team Jim could schedule. I'm in no way trying to put your team down. I am just stating facts as I see them. I believe Upperman and LA along with the holiday tourneys they played in over the years made a big difference when they got into state tourney action.
  6. And you have every right to your opinion. Have a good day!
  7. I watch LA a lot and am very disappointed in their play. Yes I have seen Jackson co play on more than one occasion. In my post , my intention was not to put JC down but to state a fact that is recognized by most girls BB fans in the area who have seen them play. Are they still capable of going to the state tourney? Sure they are, but this years softer schedule could effect them if they do get there. I wish them good luck in their tourney run.
  8. IMO any hope for a change in direction by this team will have to come from the bench. It's too far downhill to expect a player or players to 'rile the troops'.
  9. Blevins-York and Key-Clay co. are very good and should have a great future, but Middle Tn. encompasses a large area with a lot of players. Apparently you have seen ALL the players on ALL the teams in Middle Tn. play. If not, your display of arrogance leaves a lot to be desired. P.S.- I would wager that you haven't seen half the players from 8AA on the court.
  10. Hard to beat them at home but this is the weakest Jackson Co. team that I've seen for a while.
  11. Upperman is 4-5 in the district and 16-8 overall.
  12. Rabbit is always happy as long as he can watch a high school game. Sorry to have gotten your panties in a wad. Hope you're feeling better now. You're absolutely right. Key (Clay Co.) is for real. I try not to make a comparison between kids on these forums, as you have chosen to do. I'd much rather 'build them all up' instead of putting one down!
  13. Apparently you don't follow high school BB as close as many do and you have every right to your opinion. I'm very impressed with Hayes' play as you can see by my prior post. Comparing the two is like trying to compare apples to oranges, Hayes is very quick, adds a lot to LA.s program and improves the team considerably with his addition. Miller is a solid player, makes good decisions most of the time, plays good D and can score from anywhere. He plays like his sister (that is meant to be a huge compliment) tough as nails and will not back down from anyone. Players like Miller do not show up very often. He has that special 'something'.
  14. Totally agree. Slowing the game down with a late lead made the difference in this game. Maybe a lesson has been learned.---- Hayes may be ahead of Dunn at this point. He adds a lot to this team. Don't believe his quickness is equaled in the district. Makes pretty good decisions for a freshman. His added playing time has made LA a much better team.
  15. Congrats on the CC win. They have a good, hard working, well coached team that deserved the win. Your reference to 'beating 8' is ridiculous. The officiating, as usual, wasn't perfect, but it definitely wasn't one sided. Maybe LA will learn to protect a lead before tourney time. Apparently the Macon co fiasco-attacking the basket with a 4 pt lead with 38 secs on the clock-wasn't a good learning experience. Good luck to CC and other district teams during the remainder of the season.
  16. Apparently you've followed 8AA basketball very closely for many years and have vast knowledge of what it takes to have a winning, or losing program. Maybe coaches of some of the weaker programs in the district should seek your advice on how to turn their program around! lol
  17. Who would have ever believed it? bobcatfan's last words were 'famous last words'.--- lol
  18. Very long shots win horse races occasionally. Didn't say it couldn't happen, just 'not likely'. Pickett co. has a good, well coached team. Congratulations on their big, well earned wins so far. Hope they make a deep run at tourney time but--- a win against White co. at this time----not likely!
  19. LA was up 4 with 38 seconds on the clock and took the ball straight to the hoop in traffic. Hopefully a lesson will be learned from this game. Congrats to Macon co. on a big win.
  20. Maybe not as impressive as some that you've seen, but somehow, find a way to win. Hope you're impressed after the game!
  21. Incomplete if both players go out of the endzone without controll!
  22. Any idea why Jackson co. decided to drop LA from their schedule? This has always been a great rivalry with good crowds.
