  1. "Farragut is getting their talent from all over Knox County due to "open zoning" that allows students from one area of town to attend school in another area of town." What an nice luxury to have. I would love to see the team of all Williamson ,Rutherford or Maury Co. players that could be put together. None of that is true. There is NO SUCH THING as "open zoning" in knox county. People just use that as an excuse to say why Farragut is the best program in Tennessee. When really it comes down to good players coming in, working hard all year round, and becoming GREAT players. And then of course the part where they steamroll the competition every year and make Murfreeesboro their second home. Just face it, they WORK HARDER THAN YOU DO!!!
  2. that would be SWEET GO WARRIORS keep dreaming. Farragut.
  3. when did i say anything about jumping ship?? im just tellin the truth. which is what it is. with the talent that Farragut has, they should win state or be close to it EVERY year. to not have made it past the 3rd round of the playoffs with the talent Farragut has had this decade is simply ridiculous. and it all comes down to lack of coaching. please tell me how i am wrong here. perfect example. 2007. one loss going into the 3rd round, playing bearden, a team you've beaten 8 times in a row. with one of the best running backs in the history of the state. and even when bearden puts 9 in the box, you run shotgun draws with FIVE linemen????? just one of the many examples of stupidity this staff has seen. also the playoff game against ooltewah last year. wow. the first game you run the shotgun the whole time and you score 3 points and end up with -50 some yards rushing because of all the sacks. second game you come out and.... do the EXACT same thing. if i recall as well, a late INT set up ooletwah's GW td with like 3-4 minutes left. pathetic.
  4. what bothers me is the stupidity of Farragut's coaching staff. i posted at halftime Farragut would never win an important game that means something as along as this coaching staff is there. NO adjustments, terrible playcalling, and undisciplined play are all reasons Farragut lost this game. and all of those are on the coaches. and these are common Farragut traits in football. see bearden playoff game 3 years ago. i dont think anyone realizes how good Farragut would be with, lets say, George Quarrels coaching them. Farragut's players, sorry to say, are so much more athletically talented than Maryville's it shouldn't even be a game. it's the honest truth, but they make it work for them because they have one of the best high school coaches in the NATION. if Quarrels had Farragut's skill players, he would have a 130 game win streak. i feel bad for the Farragut players for this reason. we all wonder why Farragut doesnt get many kids to go D1 in football, but it is because they have been so poorly coached and are so undisciplined (see Andre Sterling). so until Farragut get's new coaches, they will continue to be regular season beasts and 3rd round playoff burn outs. hate to say it, but thats just the way it is and it's gotten to a point where it is really quite pathetic.
  5. that literally may be the worst joke of all time. i would be mad if 1. this was the playoffs. 2. maryville was actually better than Farragut. so im not worried at all. bring on the playoffs.
  6. party in the trailer park tonight!!!!!!!!!!! woooooooooohoooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. no late hit on a tackle 5 yards out of bounds? yea, that makes sense. wow.
  8. im sorry im just not impressed at all with maryville. they simply look like an average middle of the road team. if Farragut ends up losing it will be because they lost it, not that maryville beat them. and this officiating doesnt help at all. simply horrendus.
  9. can maryville catch any more breaks please? missed call after missed call. and since when is a pass incomplete when a receiver is raising his arms to show the ball to the ref and it falls out of his hands??? and WOW. defensive holding??? hahaha dear god. maryville is getting SO many breaks right now. this is ridiculous.
  10. Perfect example of why Farragut will never win anything significant in football. Worst defensive playcalling ive ever seen right there, looked like john chavis crap. And wow, great block in the back call right there... TERRIBLE call. There ya go maryville, be thankful for that call it may save yall.
  11. Farragut- 24 Maryville- 7 1:29 left in the half. i hate to say i told ya so but i did. welcome to the big leagues maryville. Farragut needs to keep their gameplan going in the 2nd half. Farragut's offense is just on another level than anything maryville has maybe ever seen.
  12. i'll be the first to admit i was wrong! the game came down to one play tonight, 3rd and long on riverdale's own 35 and farragut's D could not make the stop, riverdale wanted it more. i applaud both teams on a great game to watch, that veer sure is sneaky. farragut's D did a good job most of the night except on third downs. thats what killed em, couldnt get themselves off the field. offense played really well considering how little they had it. i'd definitely like to see a rematch of this game, it could go either way. seemed like farragut's bench players had no life whatsoever all night, Reese kept trying to pump them up, but no one would respond long term. if u cant get pumped up to play riverdale, you shouldnt be on the team, plain and simple. those kids suck the life out of a team. GREAT GAME both teams!! look forward to these to meeting again hopefully come playoff time!!
  13. The Weaufing gods may take note of this post. http://Farragut should win this game and shut up all you middle tennessee people who think yall are gods. Not gods. Champions 5-A Finals this decade: 2008: Oakland (Middle) over Franklin (Middle) Middle 2, East 0 2007: Smyrna (Middle) over Independence (Middle) Middle 4, East 0 2006: Smyrna (Middle) over Ravenwood (Middle) Middle 6, East 0 2005: Ravenwood (Middle) over Oak Ridge (East) Middle 7, East 1 (Gold 4-0) 2004: Riverdale (Middle) over Franklin (Middle) Middle 9, East 1 (Gold 5-0) 2003: Germantown (West) over Riverdale (Middle) Middle 10, East 1, West 1 (Gold 5-0-1) 2002: Brentwood (Middle) over Riverdale (Middle) Middle 12, East 1, West 1 (Gold 6-0-1) 2001: Riverdale (Middle) over Hendersonville (Middle) Middle 14, East 1, West 1 (Gold 7-0-1) 2000: Red Bank (East?) over Riverdale (Middle) Middle 15, East 2, West 1 (Gold 7-1-1) 1999: Sevier Co (East) over Glencliff (Middle) Middle 16, East 3, West 1 (Gold 7-2-1) 1998: Oakland (Middle) over Hendersonville (Middle) Middle 18, East 3, West 1 (Gold 8-2-1) 1997: Riverdale (Middle) over vs Munford (West) Middle 19, East 3, West 2 (Gold 9-2-1) Again, not gods, just Champions (and most of the time runners-ups!) Once again, living in the past. That should have nothing to do at all with why yall think Riverdale is better than Farragut. I'll say it again, Farragut wins this game and shuts yall up. Farragut has better speed, better position players, and their offense will shred Riverjail. Thank you and goodday.
  14. I'm just really confused as to why everyone is picking riverdale. Saw them play lincoln co and was not impressed. Team speed? No. The only fast player i saw was #2 and he looked like the best overall player as well. Their QB has a noodle for an arm, weak as all get out. What exactly have they done this season to warrant being the favorites? Nothing. Don't give me the oakland win, that is not the team everyone thought they'd be. Farragut earned their catholic win no question, they have WAY more team speed no question. And not to mention Purty will take one back to the house on a kickoff write it down. Riverjail's special teams looked AWFUL against lincoln co. I'm sorry, i just don't see what all the hype about riverjail is about. Farragut should win this game and shut up all you middle tennessee people who think yall are gods.
  15. Come on man. Cut him some slack. That was just some ill advised youthful exuberence in the wake of a big win from a kid that is not used to being interviewed. I think he was probably just trying to give Catholic credit. If he had some time to think about his answer, he likely wouldn't have said that. I certainly don't think Purdy or the Admirals will be taking Maryville, Riverdale and Bearden or anybody else lightly. Catholic can't say anything about Farragut now so they will try to make their players look bad. Quit your moaning and complaining, yall lost and it really wasn't as close as the score. Yall are lucky Farragut made so many mistakes. So what if the kid said that when he was excited? Would you rather him say "Catholic sucks and we knew it, we just took it easy on them"?
  16. Hahaha i love it. Not quite accurate but nonetheless i love the confidence. I also love the use of the word probably twice in the same sentence. God giveth and God taketh away..
  17. Come on man. Have some class. Catholic played an awesome football game. Farragut is extremely fortunate to come out with a win. Don't be a freakin' jerk ! After listening to Catholic say all week how great they were and how they were gonna beat Farragut? No thank you. WELCOME TO THE BIG LEAGUES.
  18. Na na na na.... na na na na.. hey hey hey.. GOODBYE. Like i said, Farragut is the better team hands down. Controlled the whole second half! Catholic is just lucky Farragut had a terrible 1st half. GO BACK TO 3-A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. This was exactly the kind of post I was referring to when I said you reflected poorly on Farragut. Fortunately, I'm well aware that most Farragut fans are not like you. Cry me a river, man. I don't even go to Farragut so how do i reflect on them? Your post was just like many Catholic fans. Crybabies. When things don't go your way or someone says something bad about Catholic, you act like the sky is falling. It's hilarious really.
  20. Haha i love it. All these Catholic fans try to make this a win-win situation for them. "If Farragut only wins by 7-10, yall look dumb" uhh, last time i checked, i'd rather win by 1 than get beat by 1. I love how yall try to give Catholic excuses to fall back on when they lose. When Farragut wins, yall will be moaning and groaning about the refs, school sizes, the air in the footballs, and whatever else yall can think of. And don't act like Catholic has played a good schedule. Rhea Co??? Man, tough. Farragut's offense through 2 games has been a makeshift offense and they've already put up near 1,000 yards of offense in two games. Allvol, you are an idiot. If someone were to look it up, Farragut probably has alot more D-1 players than Catholic does right now. Yall can go on and on about Farragut players who didn't get to play cuz of off the field issues (Saunders, Sterling) but i would love to see who yalls supposed "D-1 Studs" are. And please, please, please dont say Harrison Smith. He plays for Notre Dame for God's sake (they lost to Syracuse last year, enough said).
  21. Let's do go back the last 5-10 years. The story pretty much goes: Catholic undefeated or close to going into the playoffs, can never win the big game, choke, etc. Pretty much the DB of 3A. The only reason yall won last year is because 3A was so unbelievably pathetic that Heritage would've had a winning record in it. And Farragut does put out more D-1 prospects historically than Catholic. Farragut is better than Catholic historically... in everything. Farragut by 28: 34-6. I'll give Catholic 2 field goals. Don't make excuses after yall get taken behind the shed.
  22. When's baseball season start? Farragut by 21+. Too many athletes: Van Dyne, Browning, Purty are all D-1 players. Welcome to the big leagues Catholic & Maryville. Hope yall had fun while it lasted.
  23. Sounds like it was another great high school game. Farragut has suffered a couple of early nicks, but the schedule they have played is second to none in Tennessee, and should help them down the road this season. Great job with the tournament David, and thank you for the updates!
  24. http://www.admiralbaseball.com/ unapproved website ranks Farragut 2nd in the National Preseason Poll. 2. Farragut (Knoxville, Tenn.), 43-3 The Admirals have won four state championships since 2003 and have appeared in the state finals seven of the past 10 seasons. Farragut has the firepower necessary to make a return trip to the state championships, thanks to the return of Knoxville-area player of the year Curt Powell at shortstop, along with several other Division I prospects. Powell batted .493 last season with 56 RBI and eight home runs. Meanwhile third baseman Cade Stallings, who will play at Louisville next season, had nine home runs and drove in 52 RBI. He also had a .462 batting average with 14 doubles. The pitching staff should be the best in the state, headed by senior Jordan Cooper (who is headed to Mississippi) and sophomore Phillip Pfeifer. Cooper was 7-1 last year with a 2.08 ERA. He struck out 85 batters in 51 innings. Meanwhile Pfeifer is one of the nation??™s top sophomores after posting a 13-1 record with a 1.14 ERA and 112 strikeouts in 68 innings as a freshman. Pfeifer earned District 4-AAA pitcher of the year honors. http://www.unapproved website.com/news/article.aspx?...fe-7058bde6e32d
  25. I'm looking forward to watchin Farragut beat you all 15-0 again this year. Is the game at Farragut or Siegel?
