  1. This is true but the regions have changed. And i think the new regions has promoted the growth in Region 7 that we're seeing.
  2. MBA is wrestling Overton on Thursday at MBA weigh ins are 7:00 pm
  3. Unfortunately Franklin has dropped out this year, but Clarksville is rumored to be attending again. So who's the favorite to win this team tourney? Indy looks strong this year and the host bobcats are always just a match or two away from winning their own tourny. Clarksville probably has the best chance though. Another team that'll be fun to watch is Brentwood Academy. Hopefully we'll see a good match up with Cash and someone tough from another school. Any thoughts?
  4. Hey being excited about family members doing well is great, that's what most of us are here for. My kids have graduated and gone on from HS and none wrestle anymore, but i keep up with it because i love it. I may have been a little harsh in my post, I apologize. Nothing is greater than watching a family member succeed in a sport as challenging as wrestling and I can't wait to see what this year will bring us. Best of luck to Daniel and the rest of the bobcats.
  5. I find it interesting that this is the group of wrestlers from Overton you choose to describe as their best. I'm a long time middle tn wrestling fan and am confused because only one of them is a returning state qualifier. I've read your other comments about Dan. White and it seems you may be just a tad bit biased. First of all i agree that 189 is shaping up to be the toughest weight class in the state this year and your freshmen son/friend or whatever will have a tough time qualifying for state in a region with two returning place winners in Chris Wolfe and Cameron Croy(sp?). If you are going to speak about wrestlers being the best on their respective teams please don't put the rest of the team down by fluffing your sons and his friends names around on message boards. If i remember correctly you graduated two outstanding senoirs who placed last year and Three Juniors who also attended state. Only one of which made your list, Armstrong. The other two were your 112 and your 130. And of the returning wrestlers only the 130 (Rayborn?) made any kind of noise at state last year. He lost to Fuller in the quarters and fought his way back to the consolation quarters. If i was to choose a best wrestler for the Bobcats it would be one who's proven himself not someone who's riding on "oh he did well last year before he got hurt." Overton has a lot of great athletes with a great coaching team in Coach Gabe and Coach McTorry. Please don't forget about the "team" while tooting your own horn.
