For everyone who complains about the officiating on this thread, your team is either not very good or you lost a game you think you should have won and have nothing to blame it on so you throw it on the refs. Grow up. The kids are the ones playing the games. To talk down about them is sad. Oh and Martin Smith is overrated? That is a very uneducated statement, but that is expected for people on this thread. When you score 31 points in a state championship game.. or actually win one then you can speak. Now about the games, McEwen wins by 12 and CA wins by 18..another District 10a championship game in the region. It is alright because 9a might have their chance next year after CA loses 4 starters. but as of right now District 10a is running this region. Regardless of what happens in the regional championship, (If CA and McEwen both win) I still see both teams making it to the big dance. I thought it would hapeen last year but McEwen will get another shot at it (hopefully). I do think CA will win the region because they have got too much talent and defense. Good Luck 10a

I like everyone's optimism about their teams which you should have if you are a fan or have a son on a team, but nobody will hang with clarksville academy this year. There was talk of every team hanging with them last year and look what happened... 36-2 losing to ensworth and whh without having malcom, and finishing it off with a state championship. They have too much fire power and too much defense. Travis Russell is the best point gaurd in the district and they have the two best players in general in the entire district. Good luck to everyone, I just dont see it happening.

Every team that loses a game have the exact same excuse over and over...the refs. That's the oldest excuse in the book. If your team loses, they lose. If your team wins, they win. Whoever plays better on that day is who will win. End of story.

Malcom Smith is an absolute monster, 29 points and 15 rebounds..Martin Smith added 15 points and 10 rebounds. CA handled their press and destroyed them inside and out rebounded them and are now heading to the state championship.

Clarksville Academy wins the regional championhip tonight 48-42. Great game good luck to 10a as we make our way to state. All region tournament team from clarksville academy were Malcom Smith, Martin Smith, and Heath Dyer.

Clarksville Academy goes on a 33-9 run to end the game and win by 21 points to defeat Cascade. Clarksville Academy dominated the game for the most part until cascade went on a scoring run to go up 3, but after that the cougars had had enough and hit a 3 to tie it. After that Clarksville Academy went on a 33-9 run to knock Cascade out of the tournament. Great game. Can't wait til the championship game. Go 10a!

10a vs 9a battle ended up 2-2 I was a little surprised by the eagleville and mcewin game.. mcewin stepped up big CA vs Cascade Mcewin vs Forrest My predictions.. CA by 15 and Mcewin by 6 Clarksville Academy played Cascade @ Cascade earlier in the season and won by a pretty big margain. Its tourny time and anything could happen. Malcom Smith -Clarksville Academy. He's averaging 25 points and over 10 boards a game. He's led his team to the #1 rank in the state. He's shooting over 65 percent from the floor and around 70 percent from the 3 point line. He's truly worthy of the award. He led his team to the state tournament last season year and was named to the all state team and is definately on the same path this year.

Malcom Smith was asked to speak at something for his church and he agreed because he felt that his team wouldn't lose a bounce and go get a big win for them. They already beat a top 10 team in Columbia Academy without Malcom. Clarksville Academy just didn't show up against WHH and came out flat and just couldn't really get into a groove. I just feel bad for the rest of their schedule because after being a little complacent from being number 1 that loss just lit a fire under their butt and everyone better be ready for CA's A game. I know how bad it feels to lose and they dontever want to have that feeling again

Clarksville Academy finished off the championship of the Kentucky tournament they played in 4-0 winning every game by around 30. They started off the championship game, against a pretty good Trigg County team that was also 3-0 heading to the championship game, on a 20-0 run and ended up 45-12 at half time. This is the best I've ever seen this team work together and play basketball. They play D2 champ ensworth on Monday. Have any other 10a teams played in tournaments?

Malcom Smith's 42 was his career high last night. I read the article in the newspaper this morning and saw that after his 42 point performance, he glorified God and his teammates for helping him and his team win the game. Shows what kind of person he is. Congratulations and keep up the good work. CA 9-0 (4-0) looked pretty good last night considering not practicing for a week because of their exam week. The Smith vs Woodard battle ended up being 42 to 18. Woodard look like he tried to do everything on his own without the help of his teammates. Smith didn't look to do it all. About 70 % of his baskets were help set up by his teammates including an off the back board ally oop by travis russell. Final score CA 70 ER 55 good luck to everone around the district and have a merry christmas.

This will be my last post. Basketball4me I would like to appologize to you and innocentbystander for my previous post for the disrespect that I showed towards both of you. First thing I'd like to say is yes, ca does play physical but it's not to the extent of fouling and intentionally to rough around another team. And I will agree with you that CA got a majority of the calls, but none were completely obsurd a few of the fouls that Houston County's fans expected under the basket weren't calls because a few there was no contact. Refs are going to miss calls and we all know that tssaa doesn't have the best referees in the world. The next thing I wanted to say is about you talking about Malcom and Martin trash talking to the referees. Malcom and Martin are ball players who have heart and take the game seriously and want to win and play good for their team. Any good ball player knows that you have a little more fire in you if your out there trying, hustling, and trying to do alot for your team. When a play happens they tend to be vocal about it but it's not out of disrespect. The last thing I wanted to say is about how this has gotten out of hand.. I underdstand you being upset about calls and not liking the way a team plays but to bash players on an opposing team..you are an adult and I can tell your intelligent but you know it is not right to sit here and bash two teenagers on the Internet.
