How did Rod Wilks do?

When is signing day? Anyone else from Smyrna getting looks from local or big colleges?

Maybe he can do something now that we got like 6 football players back. They finally won their first game last night and Stripling put up 20.

Yeah, why not? He might not have the best numbers or brightest future in football but he was one of the main leaders to Smyrna's first ever state championship. Am I the only person who remembers when he got hurt in the championship game after landing awkwardly when he batted that pass down. The entire Smyrna side was chanting his last name until he rose to his feet. That's one of the most memorable moments of that game for me. He meant alot to Smyrna Football.

Marsalous got hurt in the Alabama game back in October and needed surgery. He's been out for the year.

Well he didnt do much against Bearden. Sonny only threw it to Rod 4 times. But guess how many times Rod caught the ball.... 4 times. And he had that 60+ yard punt return.

I cant believe I forgot big ole Jarvis Hicks. It's been about 20 years since he played in a game lol. Hopefully he's eligible next year. Can you imagine Jarvis Hicks and Jeremiah Bryson as your one-two punch! WOW! Talk about your thunder and lightning!

Sorry, I'm only 17 and can't remember past when I was born. Or when Smyrna football was irrelevant to me when I was in 4th grade. And it doesnt matter how long they started. If they were great players and had an impact on other people, they deserve to make the list. And maybe the reason so many players are from recent years is because in recent years, Smyrna High football has been at its best ever.

Ya know, I was tryin to remember Freemans name. I think Woodard is better suited as a WR with his height and athleticism. Plus we could use Woodard in special packages because he CAN throw the ball. Is Freeman mobile? Very exciting to hear about Wilson and Gaines. I've never heard them mentioned before. Are they speedy too cuz they already got Rod beat in height.

DB Andrew Jenkins K Logan Misenheimer My Opinion: The question for Smyrna next year will be leadership. Bryson will only be a sophomore and there will be a new QB. Current Sophomore Josh Woodard is the projected starter next year. The defense doesnt lose much and will be a force and could be even better if any of those freshman lineman play defense too. The offense loses SOOOO many weapons. Who will play on the other side of a Hager at WR? How will Woodard fill in Sonny's footsteps?

I think their feeder school, Smyrna Middle, went undefeated AGAIN this year.
