Well done District 11 AA, I'm glad everyone made it except Waverly. Tonight we played Bolivar and it was a one-point game at half time, We held them to one point in the second quarter. They came out to start off the third and hit a three and got the crowd in it. We started trading baskets and then they got it out to about a 5-point lead and didn't look back. Very close game all the way through but we just couldn't pull it out. Hats off to whoever #3 is on their team, he hit 6 threes i believe with almost all of them 25 feet or more out from the basket. We would've won without his effort. I fully expect Creekwood to win against Bolivar as long as they play well. Good luck to both Sycamore and Harpeth I'm excited to watch that game. I would like to thank all of the fans from Waverly who came out and supported me throughout my career, it was a great four years of basketball for me. Also, i would like to wish everyone good luck in the coming games, and I fully enjoyed playing everyone in our district, I will truly miss basketball next year. Good point on the Camden v. Waverly game papatiger.. NOONE HAS LOST YET!!! I'm not predicting a win but just by watching what film i have on huntington they didn't look so great but once again this game is yet to be decided and Huntington is a football town and an upset is possible.. I completely agree with you ballbasher, it would've been different if he was defending a teammate but to post a bunch of stuff about himself was almost a publicity stunt.. Sycamore's arrogance was pretty ridiculous this year and by the way Waverly might not have won as many games but would've still been pretty tough without Purcell, I mean Cody Gilbert threw a CG with 2 runs scored against him in the Championship game so obviously we do have other players...anyway way good luck to Sycamore against Lexington............ Go Tigers!!!

Yeah as of right now waverly is playing well I think the biggest concern will be pitching.. Errors killed waverly the other night at creekwood no offense to the red hawks also the guy behind the plate was calling very questionable balls and strikes.. This Waverly team has been its own most enemy so far and errors and bad pitching performances have been the cause of the two losses I can't wait for the match up against Sycamore.. Good Job Creekwood Red Hawks for beating the Sycamore War Eagles, 53-46, that 60 point beat down of Waverly finally came back to bite you didn't it Sycamore? Good luck to the Red Hawks in their game against Bolivar. I'm pulling for you. By the way, way to go Aaron #42 for leading the Red Hawks with 15 points in the victory.

Congrats to Sycamore for beating us to a pulp, that was the most embarassing loss of my career, good luck to them next game. Hopefully this tiger squad will bounce back, and play well win or lose against creekwood. anyone know the scenarios for who plays who depending on wins?

The officials have been horrible all the way around. Who knows what a foul is any more. Last night in the Waverly/Cheatham Co game, someone was sitting on someone's head and they didn't call a foul, then 2 seconds later, they touch each other and the whistles start.

Okay here goes... I know the basketball program at Waverly probably better than anybody does, I was a manager my 5th grade year, and I continue to play now for the high school as the starting shooting guard, now whether that negates any previous posts so be it.. I don't know who started this topic but I would like to thank them for the positive comments made about our team and myself.. Now how accurate they are I will not debate but all of us waverly people need to stop posting all of this mess and just cheer for our respective teams.. So waverly folks let's just all get along and strive toward the common goal of winning games.. Furthermore, there if there is a coach who is a better guy all around than coach kevin I would be glad to meet him.. Thank you, Ben Leonard has left this topic...

Harpeth dominated most of the game but was very sloppy and had Waverly shot better this game would have been much closer.. But all in all a good game for them... My hat is off to kevin giltner,as far as trey goes I wasn't impressed with his play... Officiation for this game was a joke...

Very tough game coming up for the Tigers we will definitely need the blue crew to show up for that one.. What happened to the blue crew? Yeah they have had a couple rebuilding years and are not a great team but they are at least fun to watch.. I haven't missed a game since i was in 6th grade unless i just couldn't make it.. I miss the fire from the crowd even when they are winnning people still leave... i don't know what to do.. Waverly seems like it just doesn't care anymore.. maybe a few big wins might do it good luck Tigers!! keep the crowd going Patty and Werfel..

The Tigers played well defensively against the Cubs and when they slowed the ball down really looked good on offense. Cody Gilbert had a good game very quietly with 3 assists and he controlled the ball well.When he plays well the Tigers often do also. He is developing into a very good point guard.You don't have to score much to play well

Very good point papaT, no seniors.. maybe this team can play smart enough to play for the district.. that's optimistic but why not be.. anyways the big thing will be how they will play when the good shooting goes out for a game or two(let's hope not). i look for them to be competitive against Dickson Co. we will see if they can overcome the size advantage

This is very surprising to me.. last year Harpeth was a very athletic and jumpy basketball team who really got after it.. i also am puzzled by dickson's strategy of slowing the ball down they are very quick and athletic but if it wins ballgames do it.. also don't worry too much harpeth fan a win is a win no matter by how much.. although i do see CPA and Goodpasture winning against Harpeth but good luck anyways..

Why don't you stop running Waverly in the ground all the time, i mean really what have they done to make you mad? In an earlier post someone said you were always extremely positive toward football yet during basketball all you post is negativity and they were completely right. I could name a few players from the football team who pretended to be hurt til friday came around and then magically they could play through it, i don't think so, maybe one week, but not continously. Fans are apart of the game, but when some start throwing out racial slurs,as has happened before in stewart county, as you know, people are bound to react.Anyways back to basketball, i do agree though that Craig will get them back to a good team, but they have to handle the ball a little bit better first. KUDOS to Redneck Tiger i got your back buddy...

When is the game going to be made up? And i don't know about CPA and Goodpasture but Harpeth should beat Dickson Co. if they play smart and hit their shots... Do they shoot well on a consistent basis or have they been struggling lately?
