  1. Look at the #'s in the last two years threw for over 5500 yds and over 50 td's in the LARGEST classification in the state of TN. Jacksonville State , Western Kentucky , Tusculum , Lambeth University , & Central Florida . Word has it he will decide next week.
  2. Sounds like UTC made some promises, that make's since now I was wondering why they passed on the best passing QB in Chattanooga.
  3. Yea it looks like you need to change your quote from " I love being right" to" I am always full of s---!" I see on previous post where you talk about arm strength and accuracy the kid from clinton can throw it thru a concrete wall 55% of the time according to his stats. Saturday was 45% I personally will take less arm strength and a 67% completion passer anyday. But as you say " I LOVE BEING RIGHT" then you take Jamarcus Russel from the Raiders with that cannon he has and I will take either Brees,Brady or Manning. Russell has a stronger arm than anyone of these 3 and since that makes him more talented you should do fine.
  4. Yea I would not want to join them either after the way # 7 & # 20 represented the mighty owls in the east / west all-star game
  5. Any word from either camp on how they look East or West ?
  6. I would agree about Stone , I have not seen Williams or Maryville's QB play. I would say both Browning and Parrott are D2
  7. Is that an opinion on based on stats that Parrott is not half the QB ?
  8. I have heard about Mr. Brunettie, he is some talent, and plays on a very good team. But Stone and Brunetti were in the Nike High School QB camb this past summer together at the University of Georgia. Stone won MVP of that camp! He is being recruited by a lot of schools, but there should be a lot more. I have seen several 5'11 QB's this season have success at the major D1 level. Oregon's QB rings bell but I would say stones arm is stronger than his! If there is a stronger arm than Stone's in the state, I would really love to see it. I watched him throw a 75 yard bomb in the air this season for a TD! Is Brunettie still going to West Virginia? I think Parrott from Soddy was also at the Nike camp with them both
  9. Hey Big Hairy Owl I think Parrott was in your region any stats or can you shed some light on his game ? how bout phishdad I think he might also be an owl backer can he shed some light on Parrott's game ?
  10. It's pretty amazing watching a high school kid who has an NFL arm. Not saying he could ever play at that level, at 6', but I've seen plenty of 60 plus in the air passes this past season to know he has one of the best arms anywhere. When he cranks down on it, I've been told he can throw it 75 yards, during practice and so forth. Though only 6', he has extremely long fingers and wraps the ball up like a softball or something, which allows him to throw it even in the pouring down rain and cold. Hopefully we can keep the ball out of the Beach teams hands long enough to see some good throws. Can't wait to hear which school takes him. I've heard 8 are looking close. Don't know the details. Do did columbia play cleveland first round ?

  12. I think that's probably it. I didn't actually hazard a guess on how I'd rank them as I didn't see Juhlin or Browning play. I think you and HTV both make good points on their relative strengths and weaknesses. It is significant, though, that Williams has another year to develop. His dad, who is around 6'-4," is about 2-3 inches taller than Tanner and I'm told that as a freshman Tanner really hadn't fully hit puberty. Also, his arm strength got exponentially better between his SO to JR year. So, his upside is pretty sweet. Stone is an awfully good one. Is there any word about where he, Juhlin and Browning are going to go to college? I think Stone is in the East/West game along with Parrott from Soddy who threw for over 5,000 yds and over 50 td's in two years. Should be alot of balls in the air in this game.
  13. Is it a sham because he was not chosen or because of who was chosen ?
  14. I am sure he is deserving to be on the east all-star squad , but so are the two QB'S that were chosen. If you look at there body of work in high school it is not bad.
  15. Anybody know enough about the players on these two teams to give a breakdown? Maybe position vs. position ? Who has the edge ?
  16. Any one want to break down the two respective teams based on the rosters ? Maybe position vs. position ?
  17. Congrats to these players for being chosen. Should be a good game.
  18. Soddy is 6A and I think the score at the half was 16 - 3
  19. With all due respect to all of you Greeneville fans and I know that the sun rises earlier in Greeneville each day than in Red Bank but I have a question for you all. Red Bank's Offense is not the best in the state but for 10 games (7 against playoff teams) they averaged 41 points per game. One game against a 5A team they were down 30 - 3 at half time and came out and scored 41 unanswered points in the 3rd and 4th qtr's and won 44 - 30. Then in the first 2 rounds in those two teams from your area came down and RB scored a total of 97 points and starters did not play in most of the 3rd and none in the 4th periods or it would have been worst. But we have gentlemen as coaches and will turn off the offense once the game is out of control. The mercy clock was running with the stronge Fulton team here in th e Lion Den. So far the average playoff offensive score is 48.5 points per game. So my question is what do you all know or what do you all have that will stop an offense that averages 43 points per game for 12 games that will only allow rb to score 26 points? That is half of RB's average out put for the past 12 games. I just wonder what you all are smoking? Mr. Williams is a great running back but he is just one of 5 running backs that can and has done the job during the entire season. Mr. Williams sub did very well against the stronge Gibbs team that you all sent down here to play. Well you know what happen to them. Mr. Williams did not play at all! O yes, very little has been said about RB offensive passing game. One of the best in the State. Averages over 100 yrs per game. And it is beautiful to watch the recievers run once they have caught the pass. No one yet has been able to stay with them. So be careful with your bliz! Part of Fulton's "mistakes" were they had 14 pty's. What those who were not there to see it 7 of those were being drawn "offside" that's not a mistake it is simply not playing basic football. This gave Mr. Williams a 2 yd TD instead of what would have been a 7 yd TD. I'll give you all your 28 points for your offense because when RB scores their 43 points it really doesn't matter if you score 28 points or 38 points does it? And for what it is worth RB's Defense has allowed less than 12 points per game for 12 games too. So you all must have some wisdom that 12 other teams and their coaching staff have not been able to accomphlish yet. And if you do, you deserve to advance to hopfully become state champs. So come on down, be safe, enjoy yourself if you can and remember if you go up on RB that only cause them to become more forcused and will hit harder, run quicker, and will have and offensive run and a defensive stiffness that will be like backing a lion into the corner and it is coming after you. Not a good seen. jwc jwc who was the 5A team that they were down 30-3 to ?

  21. Should be interesting to say the least ! Any thoughts on this one ?
  22. word thru the grapevine from the soddy camp parrott has not practiced all week ? any truth to that ?
  23. Cleveland paper say's BC had 113 rushing vs. Soddy ( Imagine that ) Chattanooga paper say's 99 rushing vs. Soddy. Owls won't give up 90 to BC rushing ! Owls defense is better than Soddy. As far as DB'S run responsibility goes they are naturally going to come up when someone takes off. Bottom line is Owls beat BC by 3 or more TD'S and BC won't get more than 90 yd's rushing !!
  24. Actually, the "D" is the Bears strong point. lost by 7 to polk, lost by 4 to loudon and lost by 3 to soddy. In all the losses the "O" just couldn't get going, leaving the "D" on field far,far to long. McDermott loods good on film, but i dont think the tribe "O" can score enough on BC's "D". We held Parrot to less than 200 and 140 of that was on missed asignments. Bears win a close one and go to hooterville ready to upset #6 owls (Massey Rating). GOOD LUCK stopping Big "D-Train" Massengale!!!!!! you held Parrot to 180 - 191 depending on who is keeping stats and based on what I saw about missed assignments the play's you are refering to (140 ) were made by scrambling then throwing to open receivers. The DB'S can't cover forever they had to honor the possibility of the run. Don't know anything about McMinn but the Owls will destroy Bradley. Bradley will have less than 90 yards rushing. Owls will win by at least 3 TD'S probably more !
  25. what's are chances vs. soddy this week ?
