They used to like to chat on here, but this year ,they are like the cat that swallowed the canary. They lost a ton of starters from last years team and it looks like they are improved. This just don't happen at these small schools that they are competing against. It takes them a year or 2 to rebuild. Don't know if they are cheating or not ,but they are deffinately taking full advantage of their situation. pujo,this sounds like a broken record but these private schools should never be able to compete in the public arena,they choose to be private so let them stay private,these rural schools dont have the privilige of scanning kids,they get what comes in,and truthfully i would take those type kids anytime,but it is hard to compete with these type of schools,i would like to see the roster to see how many actually transferred over the past three to four years and compare to a public school roster,single a football is the most fun to watch to me,you have traditionally small kids that play their butts off and in the case of greenback usually come out victorious,i think GB has 225 kids in high school and are usually at the top of single a football,coach satterfield was one of the winningest coaches in tenn during his time at GB,enough about that. Grace had better enjoy their time on top or near the top,because the nation has a whole stable full of young studs,we will be back SOON!

confirmation;i posted earlier that williams and burdette will not be playing,both have changed their minds and are now playing,confirmed this morning,with that being said, runandgun i will agree with most of your top four,i think harriman has the most tallent,but they are not coached well,so #1 will be a toss up between grace and harriman,2 thru four looks pretty good, watch out for tellico we play them almost every year,i dont know what they have this year but they have been known to put some good players on the court.Greenback has the best player probably in the region, but how fast can the younger kids help,they also could be a top four team:i do not see midway in the top five.

How dare you 911LANDERS, Nearly all of the Grace football players have lived in the Knoxville area half their lives. That is a fact Pujo!Grace will win this one hate to go against the green waves but the rams seem to have MAGICALLY filled the cupboard again,dont see anyone beating the rams this year in our region.Enjoy this one Grace because this may be the only time i will pick you over these tradition rich community schools!It will still be no easy task S.O.R. is a hard place to win!Get em waves!

Harriman has to many weapons for Greenback this year....could somebody from Greenback give us an update on the condition of #1 please?? Harriman 30 Greenback 7 #1 is fine some say he had a conc,some say not,he got hurt quite a few times last year also,injury prone dont know for sure,he was driving around the next morn,i havnt been to prac so dont know if he plans on playing or not,and to the rockwood fans thanks for the way you all hosted us,i just wish we could be a little bit more competitive,just real young it looks like.But we are Greenback and we will be back,just dont think we have enough steam this year.all though i think it will be a little closer than you think,some of the young guys are starting to come around,win i dont know, but we will be competitive!thanks again for checking on our players.

Oh yeah. The info on Meigs is a few of us DO own computers but we apparently would rather play a good game than type one. Not to be disrespectfull,but if you all played a good game you all are in for a long year,that was as bad a game i have ever seen the Nation play.Meigs county has about as many problems as we do for a AA school.you all will be lucky to win three games again this year.and we will probably not win any!!!!!!We have got to get rid of those stupid arm bands, and just play Greenback football,that was a total embarrassment!This new coaching staff has a lot of work to do.we need top go back to the basics and just play with fundamentals.

WELL MATBACK! nice to hear from you again,thought you might have gotten lost in them carryliner hills last year golfin.Well for the Nation you are correct heard from a friend of mine last evening that they were without their first,second and third string tail backs the past two weeks in pads,not to mention preseason allstate tackle tyler dailey hasnt been in pads since spring,got him back monday also,( they say hes even more of a beast than last year),richard seymore the freshman phenom is back from an ankle injury,(if you havnt heard of him you will soon enough), best young tailback/reciever i've seen since brian hanley at Gback,we are young mostly sophomores and freshman,got some pretty good seniors besides dailey,jordan collis transfer from loudon very good player also.got three or four jrs that will play,seems like this season is going to revolve around how quick we can grow up!going over today if it dont rain to take a look,it may be one of the longer seasons weve had in a while.But this is greenback, and they will play till the whistle blows,thats a fact!

I agree one thru Three,four thru six toss up,if the Kees can grow up quick with Titlow coming back,and some youngsters producing they could possibly crack number three,POSSIBLY that is....

Dont worry they are ALL playing and excited about it. I spoke to them personally and their is no issue. Skippy is just trying to stir things up. What I wonder is why doesnt he just talk about his team and why is he sooooo obsessed with Grace to the extent of calling players. I assume he is an adult and must have more pressing things to do. You win RunandGun,If i am wrong about this issue and both players are on the court,i will never post on any GCA subjects again,better yet if im right you do the same.....how about it?Rest assured i will make no more post about this subject.To the young men who will be under coach Pridemore, good luck they do have some good young men that are in the program.

The reasons are family, and personal reasons,thats as far as i will go with that, but their is also another player, a young man who played alot last year, but that one i have not confirmed yet, havnt talked to him or anyone close to him besides the players.So will not comment on him till confirm.they have put these boys in a bad situation,and they do not want to have any part of it,if he is the coach....just talk to the players in mention they are not afraid to tell you.

Mr.runandgun, Mr.pridemore does not have a certificate (yet).you cannot transfer your cert,and you must have either four or five years in tenn before you can, they are making him head of girls basketball operations and the private school asso,or what ever its called is working on getting him a cert,and yes i personally talked to cory and eric this week,they will not play for pridemore,so dont even tell me im wrong on this one, as soon as i heard he got the job,i made it a certianty to follow up,because after lamb got fired they were going to play again,cory was not with them during summer camp, so it took a while to get a hold of him but confirmed it myself this time.Now you need to do your homework!

This is true but also look how it affected them this past year,Its all fun and games till someone gets caught cheating.It may take a year or two but they will get caught.and yes you are right head coaches or assistants who talk to other than their own players about their school at any time is recruiting.

Wow is this guy like Randy Moore or is he better? I know Randy did a good job of running both programs at Seymour they have signed their own death warrant,three senoirs have quit the program because of this.why would you hire the assistant of a program that cheated,this is supposed to be a christian school.where is the example?i thought they played pretty well for the interem over the summer a least they were having fun.This is going to kill any hope they had for this season,They finally get Williams and burdette back,then this happens,both have quit the program because of this hiring.What did you all do to get him the teaching certificate?I know for a fact he did not have one last week....You cannot be head coach without one.

i totally agree,most of these "awesome" athletes have alot of baggage that big programs cant afford to waste a scholarship on,if you have the size,speed,work ethic,and totally dominate your classification, you will be seen,they need to do some research on the single a programs,Eddie Moore for one,from south pitt,went to UT,thats an SEC school.if your good enough you will be seen.

Titlow plays for the Tennessee tigers and is in Orlando the next two weeks,Im sure Andre is down there and will notify him,by the way this will be a reuion of Hood,Powers and titlow since they were freshman,Hood and Titlow on the same team should be very fun to watch,the've both had great summers.As freshman they were very good together.Dont know much about Haskins seen him play a few times around Knox descent player, kind of a tweener 3,4 type player,Powers when he plays within himself is a very nice player, if he doesnt force it can shoot well.mabry dont know about,rather had the hilton kid at point nice ball handler and passer.loudon and l.c. kids on the same floor,should be interesting.

i dont believe pridemore can actually be both head coaches,he doesnt have a teaching certificate.a friend of mine on the football staff said they made a position for him,i thought he said, head of girls basketball operations just so he could head up the girls team.i could be wrong and if i am runandgun can straighten it out.

new offensive coordinator,new head coach,loss of 17 seniors,havnt seen practice yet but in spring looked real young,did beat coalfield in spring but that dont mean nothing,passing leagues and scrimmages just help with a little experience.dont know if we can win three games this year,if we can its because the kids are working extremly hard in the weight room.Greenback will always be able to compete because of the kids,but this will be a very tough season.

i agree with the harriman assesment but we did play them at harriman last year,we should play them at home this year.

your k tru 12 is right,on the other hand any player who goes through spring practice as an incoming freshman with school A,has an athletic record with school A,this would make him eneligible with any other program,unless a change of adress is made with both parents.they also lose eligibility in all major sports for the upcoming year.if a child participates in any spring or summer workouts three or more days he is eneligible to transfer and be eligible.they have to be registered with the school they practice with even as an eighth grader.go to the tssaa website and read the am i eligible,it will answer your questions if not call them.they are very helpful.and yes they will not investigate unless some raises enough questions,but they will find out what they need to....

well downtown,you have it all wrong if you dont think coaches at any level dont look for character,you are badly mistaken,and you havnt been around many ELITE AAU programs,talk to your 17u coaches who actually talk to real coaches and they will set you straight,work ethic and character are the first things they want to know about, if their not coachable,they wont waste their time.and most ELITE programs stay out of the super reck tournaments and play only in the more ELITE AAU tournaments.winning is important i agree but getting these little tournys just because you can win come on.

k thru twelve are the only exception,they are the only ones who as an eighth grader can actually go thru football spring pract,in this case as long as he is not on the varsity it does not matter.you can do JV and still transfer.

dyron you are right they finally got caught time to chill out,this is the last i will say about the situation,but i did not say the players it was the coaches at these times.to whoever the coach is i hope you can actually build a solid program,the churches name alone deserves that,and to the ones who are there for the right reason good luck in the future.
