CONGRADS to the BULLDOGS for a great season. I have loved every minute of it and look forward to many more. Last night was a good game I only wished we had won, but someone had to loose and we made to many turnovers to come out of it. I wish all you seniors good luck in the future it was been a pleasure to watch you over the years. I look forward to next year with Garrett (mine of course), Lynn, Korth, Boles, Adams leading the way. I am very proud of all you guys and so glad you proved some people wrong last night. Grats to blue devils!!!! They deserved that game last night. Our boys could not connect on nothing. I think they under estimated JC and for that they took their first district loss. JC come out was a strong defense and was able to connect their shots when we were not. Our boys beat themselves by missing 30 shots and only scoring 3 points in the third quarter. Of course I was upset at the officiating as always but JC deserved this game and grats to them. I only hope that now our boy??™s see that you have to play a 100% all the time and us this defeat to get back on track and play ball.

I really don't care who you are ok. I just went by what I was told. But the only point that I trying to make here, is the way you come off in your initial post. Which I also understand you have the right to say whatever you want, but what is the benefit from kicking a team when they are down? I mean so what they didn't win in the tournment. They had never played in a kentucky tournment and did not know what to expect, BUT they also did not play at a 100% either. I will be the first to admit that. Just for the record, mine was one of those who didn't and believe me, he heard about from me. But these boys DO HAVE great potential and can go all the way but they have to belive in theirselves and put forth a 100% at all times. Those teams that we played were in no way better than ours but they give it all and we did not. So I would think that our boys have thought about this and will not make that mistake again. But anyway Melton like I said it is my opinion and we all have them, but I have also been told by many people, that the refs are still holding a grudge against Celina, for some out of control fan, that hit one of them. Do I know if this is true? NO!!! But I have seen some pretty rough calls made against the bulldogs that others are allowed to get away with. But I have also learned that our boys and girls can not depend on refs to win a game it is up to ALL of the players to do their best and give a 100% and there will still be times that they will not win. Because lets face it you can't win them all. So if I am wrong I will say I'm sorry to the refs, but if their are still holding a grudge by all means please let it go. Hello William!!! I will be the first to say that, No! our boys did not do their best at the tournment. In all three games they started out like they didn't know how to play ball. They could not connect on anything and once they did it was to late. But it was a very good experience for them. They faced some pretty good teams and York played very well that day, which they lost by 7 it was a real good game. I tlaked to one of the players from York and he told me about the lose to Pickett but also told me that they are playing a lot better ball now than they were earlier. I was very disappointed that we didn't win any games in this tournment but does that mean they want go to the state NO it does not. I also don't see what the big deal is, when Clay Co is still sporting a 11-4 with none of these loses being district games. They are still looking good. Why are you so worried about Clay? I mean you are (after all) dating a girl from here. But if it makes you feel better just keep doing it. Just for my record I yell at the refs on all of their BAD CALLS against ALL CCHS PLAYERS (girls and boys) and if you are really watching me then you would know this OK. My personnel opinion about refs is that they hold something against Celina and are very hard on all of our players. I didn't want to go there as I said but I have NEVER used that card to make it through life OK. It was just funny that the only one you all was so concerned about was him a junior OK. But like play 4 fun said this needs to get back to what the board is about that game which has been over for almost two weeks so it is time to move on to the next one coming up.

First of all whether Shawn plays at the next level or not is for one none of your business and for two what the heck is it too you? Three, I was not the one who brought this up, if you could read correctly. I came on here as I always do to see what was said about the game and CCHS winning that night. But what I found was someone bashing my son who gives his heart and soul to basketball. What is so funny to me that there is a lot of good talent on the CCHS team and why someone would single out a player who keep in mind is only a junior and start all this crap about whether he will play at the next level or not is beyond me. I really hate to go here but I guess I may as well. Now it is also funny to me that someone would choose to pick the only black player on this team and started putting him down. Well I really hate that in the time and date that some people are still stuck in the 60's but that is your problem. I do not come on here to start a fuss or get into bashing. I come on here to (not only) support my son BUT all the CCHS players girls and boys. I am a diehard fan and always will be of CCHS sports. I will also stand up for ANY of them if they are being bashed by anyone and don't care who likes it. But I will not ever talk about a player as you all have about my son. I have never seen any other player bashed as you and the others have done. Shawn is a good player, who lives, eats, and breathes BBall and with more training HE CAN go to the next level. But that is up to him and God and nobody else. Never say Never for you know not what the future holds for anyone. Nothing is signed sealed or delivered yet!!!!!!!! But if it makes you feel better just keep on bashing and we will see who comes out on top. People like you only make people like him that much STRONGER!!!!!!!! GO BULLDOGS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!

I will agree with you on that 7aSuperfan, Shawn's game does need to be more rounded but that's why he has a coach. But to insult him like you have and say that all he brings to the team is layups? You are either ignorant or stupid. Go figure!!!!! Another thing Rob Edwards is a very good coach and knows what his players need to learn inorder to advance to the next level so please let him and Shawn worry about that. No!! I think you have a deeper problem or issue where Shawn Garrett is concerned, (Since you are the same one who bad mouth him last year) But no need for you to worry your pretty little head about him ok. He will succeed so what you need to do is worry about yourself. Anyway, how many of the players you named up there actually went on to the next level and played ball? And for the ones that did good for them. I take my hat off to any player that gives it their all. By the way did you or do you play ball? Where you or are you a big three point hitter? and Are you playing now? Did you go to the next level? Do you coach? Since you claim to know so much about it. I just wondered. And if you think those players I named only hit an occassional three well like I said you need to do your homework. Oh!!! and another thing I was not the one who commented about the fans and could care less if your people support them or not I just know that Clay County supports their team very well. Well as far as Shawn Garrett goes you really need to do some homework before running your mouth!!!! Yes! he can hit a jump shot and has hit some 3's in his day but that has not been the position he has been trained for now is it? Another thing who cares if he is not MVP he don't. He just loves the game. But if you where a real sports person you would have to admit he is good and real effective on defense. His record (thank God didn't have nothing to do with you) speaks for its self Freshman of the year 2006-2007, second team, First team 2007-2008 and who knows what the year will bring so please deal with!!!! Now as far as Clay County goes this year, we have all kinds of talent that reaches all the way down to JV. So people better be ready, it is our time to shine. PC has had some great years and I appauld them and Bibbs for it especailly Wright and Capps, they were two of the best to watch. But it is our time. The comments made about "that team relies on lay ups too much" Is crap. I'm sorry but I think any team that leaves the door wide open, gets what they ask for. If you really followed Clay County then you would know that we have a lot of three pointer action, especially from players such as, Edwards, Dale, Brown, Adams, Korth, Boles and almost everyone of the JV. Well you must have a bad memory because the one that wore the ref shirt last year wasn't even there. Another thing you and your other players were walking all over the place and we wasn't the only ones who said something about it. Yes! I have a big mouth and use it when ever I please as long as our boys and girls don't mind who cares what you think. I bet you or anyone else want tell me to my face. Grats Westmoreland on a great game. CCHS just didn't play good at all tonight, Garrett, Birdwell, and a few more are sick but they still just didn't have the heart that you guys did to pull it off. You guys played a great game and deserved the win. Good Luck with the rest of your season.
