Speakerbox You have to be absolutley in denial if you thnk that ALL the Briarcrest players pay their own tuition. Mayor is absolutely right, tuition is payed but by who? It is not only common knowledge that this done but has been admitted to in the book "Blind Side" by Michael Lewis. Here is an excerpt from the a condensed version of the book that appeared in the NY Times Magazine titled the "Ballad of Big Mike". What the guy does to basically save this kids life is admirable but none the lass against every TSSAA rule. In the end to kid will come out better and the Briarcrest Boys have never really won anything. So in a way who cares? 2. If you have a middle school kid coming up through this program you will watch some great basketball players while your kid sits in the stands and cheers. If you are ok with that, great, if not start hitting the open houses around the Memphis area today. Does anyone know anything about the new Memphis Harding Academy coach? Where did the old coach Paul Simmons go?

I saw them last year against Memphis Catholic. No offense but Byhalia is really bad, one of the worst teams I've seen in a while. Some talent but not that well coached. It's only the second year they have team after the program took some time off. They could have gotten better this year. Judging by score only they seemed to give FACS problems. But ultimately, a homecoming team all the way. Sorry Big Wes, you are very wrong. Unfortunately for Gibson County the streak still still stands. The score is St. Benedict 41 Gibson 28. Most of Gibson's points came late against a not so strong St. Benedict team. The score quoted ealier was wrong and reversed.

They are pretty much the same team that they had last year. They only lost two senior starters. One lineman ansd one wideout. Most of the seniors have been starting since their freshman and sophomore year. They have a great QB who averages about 100 yards rushing and 80myards passing a game. They have big TE/DE who is playing real well. He's about 6'5" and @240lbs.

The real score was St. Benedict 23 Bishop Bryne 3. The Commercial Appeal had had the recap from Last year. SBA is 2 and 0 and Byrne 0 and 1.

A few of the Briarcrest guys should have no problem with the recruiting process. They went through in grade school and high school when they were recruited by BRIARCEST. Most of the guys listed are homegrown and Freeze does a great job as coach but Briaircest recruits more than some small colleges.

Does anyone know why Coach Froedden is suspended for a few games. I also heard some players quit the team? Any info would be great?

The St. Benedict at Auburndale/Faith Assembly Christian School(FACS) game that was postponed from February 6th has been moved to Thursday, February 20th at St. Benedict at 7:30pm.

Here are a few corrections for St. Benedist's schedule. Saint Benedict changed the JAn 18th at Faith Christian(Tupelo) game to Jan. 11 and won 62-32. St. Benedict has a region game against Evangelical Christian School at ECS, February 4th at 7:30pm.
