top ten in the state? We need to stay focused on our district right now. York wouldn't be a top ten team in AAA and we had to make a miracle comeback against them. Clarkrange is a middle of the pack team in their A district and we didnt have a walk in the park against them. Lets try to win our district first, then we'll worry about where we're at in the state.

Going back to the kid who came to cookeville. If he were being recruited or was looking for somewhere to go for athletics, I feel sure he wouldnt have picked cookeville. I am a diehard Sparta fan, so I usually dont take up for Cookeville.

I am still waiting to see what happens when Sparta plays some real talent.

the only injury i can think of mr. walton is our coaching strategy. The coaches good decision making skills must have suffered a severe injury, because they havent been with him in a while.

the answer to our girls problem seems simple enough to me. Phagis's quote says it all, our girls arent getting the quality preparation that they need. We are plenty capable of beating these teams that we are loosing to.

We both know that Sparta was the best team, yes they got beat, but nevertheless they are the best team and last nights game meant nothing, its hard to play when the game means nothing. With the combination of the game meaning nothing and the refs being the worst Ive ever seen Sparta was doomed. Ill give you this though, Carter showed me last night that he might be the best player in the district....................behind K Delaney.

Blackman, Im not taking anything away from you guys, especially Carter, you guys played a great game last night. But, anyone that was at the game has to admit that the refs last night were horrible. You posters that are saying stuff about about Spartas fans do not have a clue. Our fans have followed our previous teams to Florida, Arkansas and numerous other places. Siegal........Blackman you guys cant imagine how passionate Sparta is about their basketball teams. I think you guys are kinda jealous, and I cant blame you, if I was a boro player or fan I would be jealous too. This small little hick town team that more years than not beat you guys consitantly. 85 hit the nail on the head, passionate and classless are two different things, Sparta is passionate, fans of the same team fighting in the stands is classless. And one last note Heisman..............you truly are an idiot, none of your post make since and you can clearly tell that you know nothing about bball. And yes we are living in the past..............and the present and the future. Because we have been a great team in the past, we are a great team now and if you only knew what kind of talent we have on the way you could see that we are going to be good for a while to come. Our 5th thru 8th grade talent that is on the way up should produce the best teams that Sparta has seen in a long time. So to sum it up, Heisman you and the other posters that love beating Sparta, because you know that when you do you just beat a team that is clearly better than you, get used to it because you have years of it coming your way.

Surely you dont think basketball is all about how tall a team is? You think we will be competetive..............what? We are competetive, but we are looking to win ballgames night in and night out against these teams that we know we can beat. Maybe the reason we are'nt doing that already is bacause some people are satisfied with just being competetive.........Im not, and alot of other fans are'nt either. Sparta's tradition wasnt founded on being competetive. Do you think when our boys won back to back state championships that they were satisfied with being competetive....no! Do you people think that we were the best team on the floor everytime we stepped on the floor.........no! We were regulars at beating teams that were no doubt better, bigger, taller, better shooters. But we had a coach that put us in position to win the game every game. If someone isnt executing plays the way they are supposed to pull them out. (even though we dont have plays.) If someone isnt playing up to snuff sit them down and let them gain composure. Bottom line is our girls are good enough to be more than just competetive, they only need the guidance to get them there.

I really want to know. Maybe we do have a clue, I would just like to know where you were going with the statement about that has been our problem for years. Clue us in.
