  1. name a few more instances over the years, I for one would like to hear them? I think Sparta knows what their problem is in football, and its not coaching!
  2. when do you want to make the swap, now or finish out the season.LOL. I would like to hear some reasons. Do you not agree with theview on how deep our girls are? Do you not agree that they should be running the other teams legs off and playing in your face D all night long? I do, because I know that we do have the depth to do so. And, we're not asking for a gold ball, what we want is to simply win the games against the teams that we are simply better than.
  3. Im gonna have to give it to theview on this one, for the most part. Sparta should have only lost a couple of games so far this year. And your right also 14, they are not a state title team, but I didnt see theview say they were. Swami you seem pretty intelligent, but you have got to realize that Sparta lives and breathes basketball and whether it be just a fan or a parent we all want what is best for our players, and we dont care to voice our opinion on how we think it needs to get done. If pioneer country was more basketball driven I am sure you would see a lot more angry post about mcminnville's coaching staff. Do you not think that WC's girls should be playing a lot better than how they are? Do you not think they should be winning some of these games they are loosing? If you know these girls as well as you say you do than I would think you probably agree with theview more than you let on. He/she may have went a little overboard but for the most part they made some painful yet true points. You have to agree.........just a little /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  4. I dont think that post was dumb at all. It made perfect sense to me, Cookeville is the only team in our district that is better than us. Sometimes the truth hurts spartaboy!
  5. If you dont think Zoo knows basketball just ask him and he'll tell ya. Self confidence is something your definately not lacking!
  6. we want you back Bibb!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. I told ya if you kept at it youd finally have a good post! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  8. Heisman, Sparta Boy and myself dont always see eye to eye on everything but we are both in the same boat on this one. You are wrong on this one period. Dont even try and argue. Delaney since kindergarten has been in the same grade as Ross Jolley Cory Crain and that group, yes he did get held back a few years ago but that makes him a year older not two. Get your facts right and try again later. Ill have to say though, your very persistant, keep it up and one day you might have a good post! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  9. What? Who made an 8 deep comment? Im beginning to think that you dont have a clue.
  10. No, it may have sounded like that, but that would be rediculous. I was meaning I think Delaney greene and puckett are the three main spear heads.
  11. sparta boy, I never said anything about them being any deeper than seven and I never said they could afford any of them to be off or injured, I dont know where you came up with this post. Earlybird, did you take my post the same way sparta boy did? Although puckett being out helped us out tremendously in the sense that it gave davis valuable playing time which he in turn used very wisely and transformed into a huge part of our team.
  12. Yes, they will get their revenge in a big way.
  13. To me this one is a tossup, who comes out better prepared and who wants it more! These teams match up really well, we are due a win against LHS.
  14. sounds right but I am not 100% on that
  15. I didnt go back and look at my post, but I dont remember saying Brown shouldnt be playing or anything like that, I just said I dont think he is the one that makes this team. If I had to rank the players in order of who does more for the team it would go something like this: delaney, 27 points and 20 rebounds in a game, I rest my case on him. greene, most level headed and smartest player on the court in nearly every game we've played. puckett, he's a beast, expecially at 100%, which I dont think he is right now. then comes brown and mitchell, almost a tossup, brown has hit some huge shots for wc this year but sometimes, a little too often for me I might add, gets somewhat out of control at times and worries about the crowd instead of the game sometimes. Mitchell is a great player as well, and I cant wait to see how he matures from this year till next, but he for some reason seems a little timid to do what I know he can do. i dont really want to see him start forcing shots but I would like to see him start taking all of his open shots and get the mentality of give me the ball Im gonna make a play. so to sum it up: delaney greene puckett brown/mitchell davis johnson. everyone has their own opinion and thats mine
  16. [ Hey zoo.....think I have a pretty good idea who you are and if I am right......he definitely KNOWS bball INSIDE and OUT!! You are barking up the wrong tree if you argue with him. Guys like me know my place for sure........in the far corner. I dont care who he is or who you think he is defense is twice as important as offense if you are wanting to win championships? like I said earlier that is simple basketball 101
  17. Josh Brown? Hey lets get for real, Josh is a good player, he steps up and makes some big shots for WC at times, but he in no way is the one responsible for "making this team". I absolutely cannot stand it when a player consistently flops on the floor trying to draw charges, thats just one of my pet peeves. Then when he actually does get a charge the ref alot of times will let it go. Another problem with flopping is this, I dont know if you other fans picked up on this or not but in last nights game Josh hit the deck for no reason other than he thought he was about to draw contact but it never happened, in turn what happened was Cookeville made a pass right over where he was and scored a basket. That one flop cost Sparta 4 points, Josh should have stolen the ball, but he couldnt because he was laying on his back. I know a guy sitting on the bench, and you guys know who Im talking about, that has done just as much for sparta in the past few games if not more than Josh. seriously I can think of 3 guys right now Id rather have in the game other than Josh
  18. heisman comes in there with another informative post. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  19. Speaking of good coaches. You gonna be at next weeks game in Sparta? If you are your gonna get to see whited again. Wouldnt you love to see another Whited/King battle? Those games never let you down.
  20. Not trying to make you mad earlybird, I think your already a little ticked at me. But that is hard to argue. King has pretty much proven himself year after year, Mitchell is doing a fine job but lets let it go a few more years and see where he is then before we say he is better than King. Believe me I hope he ends up being twice the coach king is and I think he has the potential to be.
  21. I was kinda getting back to this post, and trying to say that if Haley would have worked his subs a little different it could have helped our chances. May have came off a little rude there, sorry.
  22. OK. If you have a solid defensive team you are going to be in every game you play, defense is not something that you usually have an off night on. Your either good on defense or your not. If you depend on offense and you have a not so good night, your more than likely going to get blown out. It does take both, I agree, but you better have a solid defense if you want to be consistant. To me that is basketball 101.
  23. Note to self: Make sure we dont hire this guy to coach Sparta.
  24. congrats 14. Besides WC Id rather see you guys win than anybody.
  25. O can win games, but D-fence wins championships. And yes, your coach knows that!
