Maplewood will win this one. They'll be the #2 seed, Whites Creek will be the #3 seed, & Tullahoma will be the #4 seed. Hillsboro will be the region's #1 seed. I don't expect any of these teams to lose in the opening round of the playoffs. Beech could.......COULD.........knock off Tullahoma but other than this don't look for Region 6-4A to have many teams around when the crunch time arrives in November. Maplewood: 27 Tullahoma: 14

I was just using those guys as examples. I wasn't stating their names as being the "lone playmakers" on their respective teams.

I said that last week though and got a ton of negative responses from the likes of GreenbrierCat2 & EZBeingGreen. Greenbrier has good/sound football players. They don't have athletic/next level players. I'm not even sure that Ziegler fits the mold because he has proven to be able to be SHUT DOWN by opponents who key on him. 1.) Harpeth 2.) Sycamore 3.) Creek Wood 4.) Waverly Central 5.) Cheatham Co. 6.) Fairview 7.) Stewart Co. 8.) Montgomery Central Harpeth is younger than they've been but they do have experience returning and they are very talented (Curruthers, Horkins, & Dansby) Sycamore has a new coach......AGAIN.......but they do return some experienced players on the front line & PG Creek Wood was a win away from the state last year and they have a stud post to build a core around Waverly does have three outstanding guards but the lack of a true post hurts Cheatham Co. will be the largest team in the district size wise and they have some real winners from FB coming Fairview returns Ben Johnson and that is enough for a few region wins right away Stewart Co. & Montgomery Central have a ways to go IMO.....................

GREENBRIER STILL HAS A VERY SLIGHT CHANCE.............VERY SLIGHT /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Their lone mathematical playoff hopes rest on winning out, Sycamore winning out, and White House losing out. If this occurred then: 1.) Station Camp (6-0) 2.) Sycamore (4-2) 3.) DeKalb (3-3): would own tiebreakers over Greenbrier & White House 4.) Greenbrier (3-3) 5.) White House (3-3) Under that scenario White House would be OUT because they & GHS would be 3-3 in the region and GHS would hold the head-to-head win. Greenbrier is rooting for DeKalb Co. & Sycamore this week, Station Camp & Sycamore next week, and in the final week they need a win. LOOK THAT ONE UP GREENBRIERCAT2!!!!!

McNairy has always been the type of team that plays better against the better teams yet they can also be the team that traditionally LAYS AN EGG against an opponent that is quite inferior.

McNairy has beaten Bolivar. There's no doubt that Chester needs this game much more. I like McNairy. With a win here McNairy will be #3 in this region going into the playoffs. This means........they don't open with David Lipscomb. Bolivar is the likely #4 seed in Region 6-3A. Lexington at Jackson South Side WINNER = #1 & Lexington at Jackson South Side LOSER = #2 Fayette Ware is terrible heading and Chester Co. just isn't good enough to beat Bolivar when it matters I don't think.

That would be interesting to take Stratford away from all of it's "natural rivals" and at the same time to take David Lipscomb away from it's "rivals". This case looks like one of those that they may just overlook. It is all about the $$$$$$ now isn't it???????

Yes. I too expect David Lipscomb to move and "replace" DCA since they have decided to move up to D-II. Whites Creek & Maplewood are AA for the next 4 years anyway. They'll join Stratford, East Literature, Pearl Cohn, & CPA (add Hume Fogg & MLK for non-football sports). I wonder what CPA is thinking about this district???????? David Lipscomb, White House, Greenbrier, Sycamore, Westmoreland, & Goodpasture will all make up another district in AA.

I hope that East Hickman is able to break into the WIN column this week. They deserve something positive.

Giles Co. may not have a win over a team with a winning record as of this point however their wins over Page & Cheatham Co. were "good wins". Giles Co. was much more convincing in beating both teams as opposed to Marshall Co. in their wins over those same two teams. Marshall Co. is also unbeaten this season. Page & Cheatham Co. are NOT the same as David Lipscomb so don't start screaming that point to me. With that being said, they are still good teams.

David Lipscomb: 42 Giles Co.: 17 Again look for David Lipscomb to take something like a 28-3 lead into the halftime break. They will then add 14 points in a hurry in the third quarter before emptying the bench and watching Giles score a couple of times late against the JV. Giles is an awesome team that could make a run at the quarterfinals this postseason HOWEVER the David Lipscomb Mustangs are simply in a universe of their own this year in 3A.

DeKalb Co. is for real and Hunter Poteete is the best player in all of Region 4-3A. The Tigers can score on anyone. I don't know if they can stand the pounding from the offense of White House. The Blue Devils running game, namely DeMarqus Payne, is very good. This one looks like it could be a shootout. The winner takes a GIANT STEP towards a region title.

I am going with Pearl Cohn in this one. Greenbrier is not very athletic at all and the fact that they are a Wing-T team on offense will play right into the hands of the Firebirds. Pearl Cohn: 14 Greenbrier: 7

Now that Whites Creek & Maplewood are going to be AA instead of AAA (4A instead of 5A) it makes one wonder what that means for teams such as Goodpasture, CPA, & David Lipscomb. Do they get placed in the same region?????? Also, what is West Creek (new Clarksville school) going to elect to do????? Which region will they be placed in?????? It's all very interesting..........

As sad as it sounds, Macon Co. is a playoff team if they beat Sycamore & Greenbrier in their next two games. INSANE!!!!!

They are a quality program EZBeingGreen. With that said I wouldn't say that they are in the league with the likes of Alcoa, Maryville, David Lipscomb, Riverdale, MBA, BA, etc. They are very good YES INDEED but the elite list is shorter than you think. As for Greenbrier I think they will be back. I just find it funny that GreenbrierCat2 deems it necessary to kill DeKalb Co. on their thread yet Greenbrier has now missed the playoffs 2 out of 3 years. Interesting...................... White House is very good. They are a playoff team as usual. Their games with DeKalb & Station Camp coming up are going to be HUGE!!!!
