Firstly, DL offense definitely torched CPA's defense in the CHAMPIONSHIP game, until CPA dropped into a zone. I never said anything about the other 2 games. And yes, I would say their offense was great, otherwise CPA wouldn't have dropped into a zone. You think that CPA dropped into a zone just for fun? Secondly, no one wants to give you anything because you are arrogant and think that CPA is better than any other school. "Maddox is building a fence" whatever that means? And teams should win or lose like men, not stall. "Play the game like it was meant to be played." But now you are saying that Maddox would do the same thing? So does that mean CPA plays cheap ball and don't play like men? Your arguments are full of holes and you make zero sense. If you want to have a legitimate discussion, first realize that CPA is not the best team ever like we should all respect you for something. You will get respect when you stop talking and asking for it. It's called modesty. Secondly, don't say one thing and then try and change it. You said DL should play the game like it should be played, but then went on to say that CPA would do the same and that it was a good strategy. Your exact quote was "No, it's a cowardly thing. Play the game like it was meant to be played. Win or lose like a man." Your arguments don't make sense. Then in your last post you start with "Ha.....so let me get this straight. DL's offense, in that championship game (that CPA won) was so great that CPA had to back off. No, I don't think so" but then changed to "He spread the floor and caused CPA to overplay the ball which did indeed cause problems for CPA." Pick your argument then try and make it without trying to make CPA seem like the God's of basketball. After this year you will be on the same level, if not below average for 9AA.

Regardless if you want to call it a stall, CPA would do the exact same thing if that is what it took to win. Do not act like CPA is almighty and plays some fair game like it's supposed to play. They would do the exact same thing if that is what it took to win. Who cares what offense you run as long as it is legal and helps you win. I mean is CPA too good to run a slow down offense? Or are they just too mighty and fair to ever do something like that? Ridiculous...Secondly, CPA dropped back off of DL way before DL held the ball. Their offense was great, so CPA went to a sag off defense.

No way that Maddux should win coach of the year. With the way CPA has under performed this year and with all that talent. He should be towards the bottom of the coaches that should win the award.

I think it will be a great game with both teams fighting for 6th place in the district, which will mean a lot come tournament time. Either team would benefit from not having to play CPA or David Lipscomb but Hume, MLK, or East Lit. That will give both teams a good shot at the regional tournament. Should be a great game. Thoughts?

haha...mason would never see the court at Tennessee. Not a chance...also, it would not be an immediate impact. He has great potential but it would take him at least 2 years to learn how to play real football. Any big kid can make an impact in 9AA. Right now he would get his stuff eaten in the SEC. He is a project player. That is all. Great potential though, if he wouldn't be so lazy when he plays. When he gets the ball in football and basketball he can do good things, but when he doesn't have it he doesn't try at all.

who are going to be the key players for each team

He is ok. Caught him on the elbow, but it is not broken. In a sling for a couple of days, but he is out of it now and should be able to play Friday.

If FRA wins against DL, they clinch 2nd place no matter what. If they lose, they have to beat Hume-Fogg and pray PC beats DL. Then it will be a tie-breaker between DL and FRA for 2nd place. PC cant come in 2nd no matter what..it is between DL and FRA.

Still the same. They don't have any depth. Besides their starting 5, there is nobody that is a legitimate threat to score, rebound, or defend. If will hurt them sometime during district/region/state. I can promise you that. Even if their 5 starters are very good, without depth the really good teams in state will beat you.

So what is everyone's official guess for the CPA-FRA game tonight? Anyone going?
