  1. Days of winning the region are over? You mean like the one they just won for the first time in three decades? You are truly a moron. If you look at the history of high school football and even the present state of high school football, plenty of teams have and still do win state titles running the Wing-T and run-based offenses. To say otherwise is simply asinine.
  2. Thanks for showing your ignorance. Nothing is as old school and boring as Carson's ground and pound Pro-I offense.
  3. Lol, how delusional are you? You might want to get educated on high school football before making such statements.
  4. As someone that has lived in Chapel Hill most of my life, it's hard to keep a coach here that isn't invested in the community on a personal level such as a native or having family here. First of all, the pay for coaches in the county is a joke (unless you're getting a lot under the table as the Marahall coaches have gotten over the years). Secondly, in Chapel Hill you have to deal with the Lions Club mafia which basically runs the sports programs and determines how much money they get. Heck, you've got a dozen teams sharing a Lions Club owned facility and lord knows the Lewisburg faithful central office isn't going to help the situation. They proved that with the cutting of much needed space in the new auxillery gym. Heck, we couldn't even keep Coleman who is a homegrown boy. And he made a lateral move to boot!!!!! You can't blame someone like Coach K for looking elsewhere to better his family and situation. Sounds like to me we need some Chapel Hill blood in the central office so that we can sweeten the pot and encourage our guys to stay put. Don't even get me started with Cornersville. That poor school and it's athletics can't get anything!!!! Maybe K and Randolph need to hire Osteen's agent.
  5. That's a funny thing to say considering Marahall appeared to have the most success offensively when they could run the ball and throw the ball short. I'll tell ya what, tell your top dogs to schedule Union City, Trezevant, Marion County, Boys Buchannan, Tyner, Alcoa, Oakland, etc. and let's see how that works out for ya. Cumberland County, lol, they wouldn't have even made the playoffs in most regions.
  6. It would be hard for any team to put 60 on Forrest, or any wing-T, power running type team for that matter. I don't hate Marshall and I'm not bashing them, simply stating a fact. Would they beat Forrest? I would think so, but it wouldn't be the blowout that all the Marshall fans seem to think it would be. Marshall obviously has better athletes, but I do think that there's something to be said for being well coached, effort, & heart. Forrest, or any good 1-3A team, would be more competitive than a bad 4, 5, or 6A team would be. I guess I'm a small school apologists simply because there is a misconception that bigger is always better, and that's simply not the case. If I recall, Lewis Co. put 50 on a very good, more athletic Giles Co. team a few years ago, so there's more to it than simply athleticism.
  7. First of all, I'm not a coach, I'm a Forrest High parent. Secondly, excuses? So you're saying that a 2A high school with no major D1 talent should beat a 4A private loaded with D1 talent? That's not an excuse, that's simply being realistic and telling THE TRUTH!!!! Kinda like Marshall being extremely inferior to Catholic and the other teams I listed, it's simply a fact.
  8. It's not my fault you boys know nothing about football. If you don't run a hurry-up offense and grind out the clock, the opposing, high powered offenses don't get enough possessions to light up the scoreboard. Who is stupid?
  9. Lol, I watched that game. Would Catholic whip Forrest? Yes, as they should, but I guarantee they wouldn't score as many as they did versus Marshall and the Rockets would have scored. People that know football understand ball control and time of possession. And yes, Nashville Christian, Marion Co., Trezevant, Alcoa & CPA would all compete, if not beat Catholic.
  10. Forrest's JV couldn't contend with Wallace and Marshall's speed, but the Tigers couldnt stop them either. Forrest put up 30 plus I think and were only stopped by fumbles and penalties, it was nothing the D was doing.
  11. Don't blame him, good school, good location.
  12. When did I say one has? But it's gonna happen, bank on it.
  13. Not move......apparently Marshall Co. is the only school allowed to accept out of county kids (like your QB). Trust me, it's legit, feel free to call the county's other two administrators to confirm.
  14. Same opportunity? Please explain how Marshall Co. can accept any transfer they want, yet your glorious dictator of a superintendent has denied every out of county transfer that has attempted to go to Forrest the last two years? That doesn't seem like equal opportunity in my opinion.
  15. Your player obviously isn't informed. According to a Giles insider there is one that's already out the door......at least for next fall anyway. I wonder how many slaps on the wrist the Marshall staff has in them?
  16. You were a little late to the party. I heard he took his name out of consideration well before Christmas.
  17. I hope the new Giles coach is a good recruiter. Word on the street is that the big O up the road continues to poach the Bobcat roster at an alarming pace!
  18. If Giles would have run the Wing-T this past season, they would have won more game, I guarantee you that!
  19. Considering Kriesky and the DC are one in the same, I'd say that's a guarantee if he goes.
  20. I don't even know if he has applied or would want it, but if that's the case, I can't imagine them not giving him a look. He has a ring as an assistant at Oakland, so it's not like he's unfamiliar with the big school football.
  21. Kriesky brought a 2A team to the table and beat you. Not to mention he destroyed Palmer's Fayetteville team two years in a row as a D coordinator and head coach, with lesser athletes. Just throwing that out there.
  22. If Lebron James would have stuck with football for his last two years of high school, would he be any less of a basketball player? The answer is no! If you are an elite, D1 athlete, then you will be one regardless of whether you play one, two or ten sports. I've never understood this "he/she would be better if they would just stick to one sport" mentality. It's nonsense and foolish.
