I’m hoping we have a better showing against you guys this coming Saturday.

DC wins the tourney in Daytona beach.

Make that 3-0. Won their semifinal game 47-28. Maybe we’re finally waking up.

DC 2-0 in Daytona Beach so far.

Ferrell just now starting to get back in her groove after getting injured in the first game of the season. We are a completely different team without her being aggressive in the post. That being said, we seem to start VERY slow. Against both cookeville and LA we got down big before seeming to wake up.

Anywhere I could find the full brackets for that tourney?

If I heard correctly Elswick quit. And his senior banner was gone so I think it’s true. I hope Antoniak is able to come back but I haven’t heard any news. White should be back soon. Heard it was a stomach bug.

We showed some toughness at cookeville too. We were without two starters last night and another player who started some games but got to play quite a bit quit. I’ve said it before, but I like where we are. Showing some toughness and competing is already an improvement over the last couple of years.

Upperman looks to be manhandling RBS.

He played and had 23 points. We just looked plain bad.

We still have Hale who’s out for other reasons than injury. He started some last year and is a good ball handler and shooter. We’ve got the personnel to compete this season. I think it’s a good thing we’re taking a few lumps early. Ramos is going to be something else when he finds his footing.

Being down two starters didn’t help. I don’t think it would’ve affected the outcome but the score may not have been as bad. I like how we look when we’re healthy.

Haven’t heard much about scrimmages but DeKalb beat Van Buren tonight. Ferrell went down with a hurt ankle though...hope it isn’t serious.

24-0 end three. Played a decent first half, but the rails have come off in the second half.

DeKalb beat them in DeKalb in 2013 season. 35-28. Other than that the series has been all LA.

DC returns 17-18 starter Walker who sat out last season with a shoulder injury and 18-19 starter Agee who missed most of last season as well. Couple them with Ferrell, Colwell, and Ruch and we have a solid starting 5. Bench may be a little thinner this year as I am hearing a few didn’t try back out. I’ve heard of one pretty good freshman coming up as well. Just excited to get this season underway! I did hear of us beating Oak Ridge at a camp but you know how those go. And I’m not sure how competitive OR is expected to be, and oftentimes the play everyone during the summer.

Anyone know about what happened at Smith? Did Bibb leave or get fired?
