Well the rains came this weekend and the KY/TN Border Battle didn’t see a winner but some teams did get to play and now it is off to Coffee County. Now Coach Terry does one heck of a job and of course you have the “Lucky Hut” with the best broadcaster in the State doin the play by play for CC so maybe we can get this one in this weekend. 1.Beech—won two games in KY and looked like the team to beat. This team has so many weapons it is very scary. Now I know the good folks up in another part of the state thinks that I am pickin the wrong team to win it all but time will tell. But don’t be goin and bettin the farm against this bunch. Heck “Kat” has hit more homeruns by herself than most teams have all year! 2.Riverdale—yep these “Lady Indians” are movin up one cause they didn’t have a loss this weekend. But come next week we will see who is the better team, Dickson County or them “Lady Indians”. “Ole MrNoitAll” is goin with the bunch from the “Boro” to win this game. 3.Dickson County—got beat to a good KY team who is always tough year after year, but when you don’t score enough runs you will go down and that is what happen to these young ladies. Lauren Keele is doin a great job on the mound for these ladies and hopin to win district this year. They have to get past Rossview which shouldn’t be to hard cause they are not as good as they have been in the past few years. 4.Creek Wood—well these ladies didn’t get to play this weekend they had their prom and the word in the “Park” was that they clean up really nice and pretty! But this weekend will tell these folks just how good they are because they will be playin so many tough teams in their pool. Brooke Jenkins who came from Dickson County is knockin the cover off of the ball battin around .500 ain’t to bad but bet them folks from DC wish she was a playin for them, but she ain’t and ain't goin to either! Best late season tourney in the state! 5.Goodpasture—well these youngins lost a high scorin game this past week to Greenbrier and I don’t think you can take away a lot from them cause Coach Head always gets her players playin tough at the end of the season. If you notice that some of the best teams this year are your Single A and Double A teams from the Mid-State and this is one of them! 6.Lawrence County—yep they have fallen some but still are the best in district. Again I love their pitchin and don’t count these ladies out from movin up again. 7.Coffee County—“Birdies” school has a lot ridin on the games this weekend. They will see just how good they are and if they have a chance to make it to the big dance. I hope they are puttin it together cause they have very tough game in the opening round and then they get to play Creek Wood. I will be there and my “Birdie” will also be there so come on over and say hi! 8.Columbia Academy—wow what a tough area of the state for some of the best teams in the Mid-State to have to play each other to get to the state. You all need to go out and watch CA cause they do have some mighty fine pitchin! Defense aint bad either. I hate it when I hear these AAA coaches talk about how much more superior they are than the A and AA schools. This team as well as the others that are on the top ten can play with anyone in the state. Plus you guys have about 1500 more kids to pick from so don’t understand why y'all are a braggin. 9.Camden—this team has one of the best hittin team for homeruns than most teams in the Mid-state and maybe state. I could be wrong but the number that was mention down at the park was somethin like 24. Heard that “Kat” had somethin like 11 or 12 herself from Beech. When you play this bunch you better have your outfield playin deep cause they will go deep in a New York second! Again this is word in the park is that Brandenburg is leadin the team in HRs and you better back up and Posey will do some damage as well. Again here is another team that can play with anyone in the state. 10.Summertown—the hippies are good and have the hittin to prove it and don’t give up many runs! Harville is one hittin machine as well as Kayla Long so folks if you want to see a good hittin team watch this bunch! This may be a small school but the coaches get the most of it this little school! 10. Cornersville---the town that gave me a ticket is very tough and wants to prove it. They can make it all of the way to state and goin to show a lot of folks this weekend that they are tough. Today they are the best team in Marshall County! But can’t wait to see them play this weekend! Now folks I hope you do enjoy and again if you fail to score enough runs you will be a loser and I will drop you like a hot potato if you know what I mean!

Well I tell you one thing and that is both of these fine schools could be at big dance come next month! But there is a couple of teams down your way who will have a say in it as well!

Please look back at the score card again! The score was 4-3 CA in 8 innings. It was a good close game.Cornersvilles bats were really cold that night and CA took advantage of it like a good team will. Well you know how those drunks get on a Saturday night talkin about games....they said somethin about someone hit a grand slam and all, so if I made you folks mad at the town that I got my ticket in I am sorry but I ain't forgotten that ticket! Speed trap for "Ole MrNoitAll" I tell you!

I am watchin and laughin cause "MrNoitAll" is everywhere, from the North, South, East and West keepin up with the teams in the Mid-State. But come next week if you want to know who “Ole MrNoitAll” is he will be around “Lucky Hut” and talkin to “Lucky” who happens to be the best broad caster in the Mid-State if not the state! But there is one thing that you need to know “Newbie” is that you will never find “MrNoitAll” bashing players, coaches or schools……well maybe the ones who have the worse fields in the state that are to cheap to fix them. But I will remind you who the losers are on a frequently bases and that may be a causin you to be upset, distress, anguish, agony, grief, misery, sufferin, pain or angry cause your school could be one of the losers that we are a talkin about …..but “Newbie” I want you to know that “MrNoitAll Luvs You” even if your life is not a happy one…….maybe you need to go to “Ole DrSawbones” and get you some of them happy pills? If you know what I mean!

Well the word in the "Park" was that both teams make great plays and that pitchin took over which is strange since we are now at 43 ft. I would have bet a coke that the "Hippie School" would have lost but great job for beatin up on your big sister in the county. Now I have to tell "Birdie" the bad news and the top ten will be a changin again next week. But if you remember that "Hippie School" was in the list to watch.....don't bet the farm that they don't get to come to the "boro" this year for free!

Well I got this message from “Birdie” wantin to know why this “Newbie” is given credit to a coach for bein “MrNoitAll.” Well this is a great guess and not sure where you are comin from but keep on a tryin cause you ain’t got it yet. But I bet if you keep on a guessin you surely will get lucky someday.

My thoughts exactly. Most coaches feel like they have a Bull's Eye painted on their back at least half of the time. You think? I know a coach who is one of the most respected coaches in the mid-state who has put more girls in D1, has won state several times, is a Christian, great father, great husband, kind, dedicated, loves all types of kids, honest, carin and etc....... than anyone that I know. But just a few years ago he had parents who question what he was doin and wanted to get him fired....now folks somethin is wrong with this picture! Coachin just ain’t the same as it used to be a few years ago, cause these parents are sendin their princess's to pitchin lessons, hittin lessons and they think because they go that they are good. Well I hate to be the one to bust their bubble but cause you go doesn’t mean that your princess’s will be good! Yep sometimes I wonder why coaches put up with some of the dumb, stupid, unintelligent, slow parents who are at the game runnin that mouth. Cause they have played, coach a little travel ball or seen it on TV makes them an expert. But the good coaches put quality hours in learnin somethin new about the game, studyin the game, scoutin other teams, reading about the sport, goin to clinics. This coaches are taken time away from their families and children and spending them with kids who parents are dumb _ _ _ if you know what I mean. Then they have to take these15-20 girls with different home life, different morals, different values, different intelligence levels, different economic backgrounds, girls worrying about their home life, boyfriends, jobs, and havin there parents runnin that mouth at the games at the umps, other parents or anyone that will just listen. My mama always told me if you can’t say nothin nice about someone just keep that mouth shut. Now folks don’t you think if that loud mouth at the game will talk about the coach, the umps, other players on the team they will talk about your daughter and you as well. You better believe it cause if you think that you are special just wait and you be talked about soon or later. The good book says the hardest thing to control is that tongue and just go to the park and you will see what God is a talkin about! Could I get an "AMEN" from the congregation. Tell it brother, preach on!!!!!!!! I'm feeling it!!!! I over heard at the game the other night a father tellin another father how to field ground balls, and how to break on a fly ball. Now his daughter had K twice and ground to third the other time and he was a tellin the folks next to him what a bad job them coaches were a doin. Again them coaches have to deal with a loud mouth explainin the art of fieldin when his baby couldn't hit a beach ball. Yep, he would be the one that I would listen to about coachin!

They also lost to FCS 5 to 0, Come on Noitall are you drinking AGAIN.... Again another fan to help "Ole MrNoitAll" out. The team that got beat by FCS aint the same team that is playin now saw them this weekend and they aint bad, plus they beat that little Cornersville team last week pretty good.

WOW sorry you have such a problem with me but you know I have a lot of friends that respect the things I do and I respect them and one little immature "mrsknowsnothing" is not going to bother me because the good people in the softball world that know what we do and respect what we do way outways the people like you that don't so have fun bashing me I have thick skin and besides if you are on me then you are allowing other people to rest.

Well "Newbie" I think you need to do a little research....you see the top ten came out before the game and "Birdie" wasn't ask who would win the game......so these games that were played in the afternoon were not in the mornin edition! I do understand about bein a "newbie" so just watch for a while and see how the big boys play and then ask dumb questions!

Wow the season is getting closer to the end and the top teams are beginnin to separate themselves from the losers as they always do at this time of the year. If you go back and look at the top teams from the past several years it looks like the same teams are always at the top and the losers are still a losin. Sorry for bein a little late but have been under the weather and not able to get to the puter. 1.Beech—will have very big weekend in the KY tournament this weekend and could come away with a title. Looks like a great field of teams from KY as well as a few good teams from TN a playin in this tourney. With a new coach this year at Beech has not hurt this team one little bit, and they have kept on a winnin and are the best in the Mid-State as well as the state! 2.Dickson County—has been playin the teams in district a little close and their district is down this year. They are the best in the district but the word in the park is that they have had some minor problems in the stands. Now that is just the rumor if you know what I mean! 3.Riverdale—well I think they are a playin really good and now is the time that you want to start puttin you’re A game together and they are doin just that. Can they go back to state most likely they can will they win state again NO but few do win it back to back unless you are a private school if you know what I mean. 4.Lawrence County—they are lookin really good, excellent pitchin and should have no problems the rest of the year. I have only gotten to see them play one time and I will say that I was really impressed with their pitchin. 5.Goodpasture—they do not have Kelsey this year, but they do have her little sister playin and they are playin really well. After watchin them a few times I do believe that they have what it takes to get back to the “Boro.” The power isn’t hittin them long balls it is hittin them gapers all over the field and then they turn around and play great defense. Good pitchin not great but good enough to get them to state, I do believe that who ever goes out of that region has a great chance to makin it to the finals. 6.Creek Wood—they won the championship last weekend in Waverly and beat up on Camden, matter of fact didn’t even let them score. Now I can bet one thing and I bet that Coach Baker didn’t like that to much havin them goose eggs on his side of the score board! It wasn’t a district game but you can bet that the next time they play Coach Baker want be forgettin that score! 7.—Well “Birdies” team is doin right well for themselves. They are makin folks proud here in Coffee County cause them “Ladies Wildkittens” sure aint lookin very good to say the least! The bad news here is that they want be any good for several years to come! Now you can take that to the bank. 8.Forrest—Coach Becky is doin her thing and that is winnin and a winnin. The schools with the “Lights on the Tracks” are now playin the best ball of anyone in their county. At one time I thought that they may be a little down but she is showin me that she still has it. Now the problem of all of this is that only two schools can go to selectionals and someone will have to be a loser. Now who will it be? Creek Wood? Goodpasture? Camden? Marshall County? all of these teams ain’t bad but they all can’t make it so stay tune to see who will make it to the “Boro” 9.Columbia Academy—is playin really good at the right time. Saw them at the park last weekend and thought that for a single A club they were playin pretty darn good. Pitchin is excellent, she has a hurt foot but it don’t seen to be a hurtin her to much cause she can still pitch and hit. Watch out for these ladies had big win last week over Marshall County, and Cornersville! 10.Camden—I think this may be the last week that these fine ladies make the top ten if they lose again. Don’t think that they are a playin their best ball and now is the time you better be a playin or you will be goin to the house if you know what I mean! Teams to keep an eye on are the following! “Cookieville,” “Fiddlers School,” “Football School” “Summertown” (where them hippies live) “Cornersville” (got a ticket their one time hope they are happy!) Teams that will keep on a losin! “T”own, “Fat Phil’s Team,” “Cow pasture School,” all of the metro schools, “Whiskey School”, “Mule Town”, “Rich school” (Brentwood), to name a few!

Was under the weather yesterday, I got this bug and was in bed most of the day while "Birdie" went to work. Dont worry it is comin later today, cause I have some surprises for some folks that I saw at the park this weekend.

Well I am excited to find out how you are goin to enlighten me I cant wait to see plus I wonder what type of readin material you have for me. Sorry about not havin the Top Ten for this week will have them out later today.

Thats GREAt to hear Noitall maybe you can get me that hotdog you still owe me from the wager we had last year! I will tell you what I will do......I will try and buy you a hotdog at the concession stand but will have to get someone to take the $$$$ up there because then you would know "Ole MrNoitAll" so I will see if "Birdie" will give me a little $$$$ and I will do just that! Wait until late on Saturday before goin buy but I will do it! Take it to the bank!

Thanks. They deserved it and earned it. You got that right havin to play in the cow pasture, I do hope these young ladies have a great rest of the year because it is almost time to start cuttin hay!

I say that SD is one good team from the East. I have seen them play two times this year and enjoyed both times. Always well coached and if I am not mistaken young pitchers who are excellent. But I think this year the trophy will stay in the Mid-state and "Cat" will get it for them. okay MrNoitAll...you must have something against teams from the east because SD is a powerhouse all the way around. Seems to me that the only thing Beech has is "Cat" and people are hitting her and so will SD. Obviously SD has better pitching thats why they only have 7 runs scored against them and Beech has 24 when they have supposedly better pitching and played less games! Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I believe that Beech has played as many or more games than SD and they use a two pitcher rotation (sometimes 3). USA Today had them at 27-1-1 last week and they have played at least 6 games since then. Plus, they have obviously played stronger competition. If you think that Kat is "all" that Beech has, you may be in for a sad awakening....... My best friend is right about havin more than one player, this team is loaded (eight seniors starters I believe) ! I have seen Beech once this year, and SD twice and again the best team in the STATE OF TENNESSEE is Beech! For some of you the name is "CAT" not KAT because she rules when she pitches and BATS!

Ok I know that if you wish hard enough good things will happen and it took place yesterday. Yes folks F. C. Boyd Christian School won a game on the road against mighty Eagleville! Now the scoreboard said that they played one game at Eagleville and then drove all the way back to the Nurseryman town and played again and won again by the same score at both parks…..now that is what I call tough. Heck I bet it is at least an hour drive one way and then turn around and drive back to the other school and play again is what I call tough. Great job for winnin two games in one day at two different parks! Especially winnin in the cow pasture next to your school is unbelievable in itself!

If Mr. NoItAll is my alter ego, then I am Superman and he is Clark Kent................ More like SUPERBIRD and the CHICKEN.... Now "Newbie" You are now in the big leagues and you just need to watch and see how the big boys play. The best way to learn is to watch and listen, my mama always told me it was better to keep your mouth shut and not to let everyone know how dumb you were are so just sit back and watch because you will learn somethin from "MrNoitAll" and the "Birdman". There is no body on here that knows more about Mid-State softball than "MrNoitAll" and "Birdman" plus we know a little bit about the rest of the state. You see we are always at the parks watchin and learnin so just set and watch and we will teach you somethin about softball if you know what I mean!

Thank you "Birdman" as you know in life some people tried to be like us and all they can do is try....I don’t think it took a whiz kid to come up with those picks.
