  1. Dear Whistleblower, I am trying to find out if anything happened to the refs at the DC/CPA game at the state tournament. 4 major mistakes were made in the last 15 seconds - these weren't judgement calls, just a total breakdown in officiating. Maddux has all four of them on film and sent them to Ronnie Carter. I have the 3rd mistake on film - on the rebound from the missed free throw at the end, the clock remained at 4.1 seconds as the DC guy dribbled towards the half court line. Were those knuckleheads ever disciplined?
  2. You're probably right - time to stop the insanity. However, I would like to ask one question - what will happen to the refs and the timekeeper - shouldn't they lose their jobs over this? I don't have a problem with the 3 at the end, it is the time clock mis-management that really begs a question - why did they do it?
  3. I guess I'm posting with a complete moron. Let's go back to the beginning. Get a Websters and look up the meaning of "irony". You may be "confused" or you may be "befuddled" by my statements but finding irony in my post makes no sense and does not belong in your post - have you graduated from pre-school yet?. Once you recognize this, you will be so embarrased of your first sentence that you will grap your own pencil thin neck and punch yourself in the face at least 5 times. You are so dumb you're dumber than yourself.
  4. Dude, I don't live anywhere near DC. You've polluted the board with your silly adoubles posts. This is a sports post. Where I come from, we just grab your pencil thin wuss neck and beat the he-doublel out of you. You wanna talk b-ball, fine. You wanna talk your flower arranging, go to the Oprah channel. But, please just go away.
  5. Just referring to your posts - and, yes, your mother is a man. Get over it, Mr. D-bag.
  6. Can y'all take your silly little d-bag argument to the Oprah channel? We're talking sports here, not flower arranging. I was at the game and the DC fans were just fine. So, shut up.
  7. Coach, let me help you out - I was probably 40 feet from the shot - his foot was about half-way over the 3 point line. How the ref missed it I'll never know but that is the quality we get around here.
  8. If it is the same guy, he needs to be sent to the same place they send the clock guy - the unemployment line.
  9. Good point on the traveling. And, when did palming become legal? And, the absolute worse call in the entire history of mankind was when Miller turns around, gives his shoulder to a DC guy, and the DC guy gets call for traveling. But, the scorekeeper and the refs should be fired for their management of the clock and the last shot.
  10. In other words, the refs and the scorekeeper totally screwed up and should be fired. What a complete joke.
  11. Good point. You hate to see the refs be a part of such a great game - I've been watching b-ball at all levels for a long time and that was about as exciting a game as I've ever seen. Half of that guy's foot was over the 3 point line - he was right in front of me - but that can't take away from such a great shot. DC is a great team with great players. But, the real loser is the refs - what a bunch of morons - maybe we should have no refs for the rest of the tourney and let one of the cheerleaders be a scorekeeper - definite upgrade.
  12. Great observations Legend. I don't know why teams haven't pressured CPA like that all year. Give 'em the full court pressure, then double team Mason and Miller. The one thing I disagree with about CPA's offense is that when teams do this, Miller and Mason don't kick it out to one of the other guys. CPA has three great shooters: Anderson, Reeves and a guy who doesn't get nearly enough credit, Peterson - he was 4-4 tonight.
  13. I don't think DC's win is in any way tainted - what a great game! And that cat made an absolutely impossible shot at the end - DC won the game. However, there were three unbelievable mis-steps by the refs. First, the clock operator didn't start the clock when there were 15 seconds on the clock - the refs finally noticed, but they should have run the clock down to compensate. Second, adding time to the clock was totally wrong - I don't see how that happened. What justification is there for that? Third, the cat's foot was on the three point line - he was right in front of me. So, the refs absolutely stink and should be fired. Now that I've got that off my chest, I'm rooting for DC to go all the way - they deserve the win and they are a fantastic team.
  14. Thanks for lecturing everyone in the post, and I'm glad your opinion represents the feelings of most CPA fans - you did a poll, I'm assuming? Just because somebody makes a controversial statement, or has an opinion that doesn't agree with yours, or says something a little outlandish, doesn't mean it is time for you to pull out the santimonious stuff and lecture all of us about what CPA is for or against. You go down that path and then you're going to have to defend some rather bizarre things done by CPA's fans - the CPA dad doing the belly flop on the floor, CPA's cheerleaders yelling at DL's inbound guy (a really bush move). I don't think these comments reflect on anything about CPA or DL- it is just people doing what's been done for about 100 years - argue about sports. If it hurts your feelings, I'm sure you could start another thread about women's knitting circles or flower arranging or something like that.
  15. You'll have to help me out with what you mean by hypocritical?
  16. Tragic? Wow, that's a little over the top, isn't it? Thanks for the lecture but grow up. I'm not sure whom you are referring too - I don't have a dog in either school - I've just been watching this district for years. I don't like seeing cheap shot players in high school and what we saw last night was disgusting. I saw the same thing between MLK and FRA two years ago and I didn't like it then either.
  17. I guess your knowledge of basketball is only exceeded by the choking abilities of your team. Isn't much of a factor? Dude, he is defiintely surrounded by good players but he does some of the hard work - he's shut down just about every major scorer this year. He's the best technical rebounder on the team. Here is a suggestion - go pick up one of those dummy books about basketball and then you can try contributing to these posts.
  18. Going for a loose ball is fine, as is playing hard. Grabbing a guy who is off balance and throwing him down, and then hitting him with two elbows while he was on the ground holding his head is a little dirty, wouldn't you say? But, what can you expect from a team who choked about as bad as I've ever seen. A free layup at the end of the 4th quarter and the first two overtimes and you couldn't put it in. That kind of behavior is what you get from chokers. If I was Macpherson, those guys would still be running. As for much of a factor, I'm not sure I can remember anything that made a Lipscomb player a "factor". Unless you count holding the ball for half the game - I guess that's a real "factor" - real talent there. Not sure if I was watching the girls team or the San Francisco Rose Petals last night.
  19. I'm not sure what games you've been watching this year. First, Peterson blocked three shots last night. Second, he got a couple of key rebounds. Third, he doesn't score because Coach runs no plays for him. Fourth, he got slammed to the floor last night after one of his blocks by the Bill Laimbeer of high school basketball - the dirty #24 for DL - and had to sit out the game - did you hear his head hit the floor? Everyone else did. Nice classless remark.
