I agree with everything with the two whom has posted about equivalating the age of the player instead of the class, i believe that Pheipher will have the advantage because he's in a younger class with less developed players, but that is beside the question i'd like to know. How are these boys in the classroom is my question? along with being an excellent player he's got to perform in his academics as well.

iam sorry you feel the need to try to belittle a player , any player , i feel your coments inappropriate. Big Sandy had a big win over a very good rival last night that should be appreciated and celebrated in a way other than putting down a player. Big Sandy has several really good players who should hav their accomplishments celebrated more than demeaning an opponent.

Not true at all about Greer not playing team ball . He is a very good passer and past up several shots on fast break opportunities to pass. he also had several points after offensive rebounds as well . West Carroll did not shoot well last night And Greer did take most of the shots late in the 4th quarter but he took what defense allowed.

Clint McClain should start out as #1 starter because he is a senior. I expect two sophomores to be #s 2&3 Singleton and Dunn, but others will pitch some to depends on how they develop Cody Nelson has been working out to pitch he caucht every game last year good arm but no experience Gowan , a senior and Hayden McClain, a sophomore will pitch too . We hav lots of arms just hav to see how they come along.

Clarksburg should be very competitve this year in district . i think they will hit very well , and im not from there. Bird should be one of the most dangerous hitters in the district and could be all west tn. if they got any pub. at all the mc clerken kid is a good hitter too very fast. West carroll will be much improved too they played a lot of freshman last year and Huntingdon and McKenzie still should hav [lenty of talent top to bottom but i expect it to be a little more competitive for them this year than in years past. Bruceton will be young this year but expect them to play very hard as well

He had an average fastball with very good control and a nice curve ball to go with it. saw him umpire a babe ruth game and is a very good young man too

They should be two of the better pitchers in the district this year , maybe West Tn. Hatch for Huntingdon should be very good this year too.

Where will Scooter Hightower go to highschool this year?

i'm afraid they may be in for a tough year . they lost alot of seniors off last years team . i think only one or two starters return. They hav a new assistant coach , Jamie Williams, who will bring a positive attitude to the team and make them work hard to be competitive.

West Carroll only has 5 losses 2 to Milan , Ripley , Crockett Co. , and Trenton

yes he is a junior this year. If some people dont like his attitude i wouldnt understand that hes a very good player that works very hard at his sport i have seen every game and have seen no bad attitude from him. he is a good kid.

Was wondering if Devon Hightowers little brother Scooter will be on the team should be a freshman this year i think son played with him in travel ball a few years ago he was the best hitter i ever saw at 10

i hope you are right lol. just for something to talk about west carroll's baseball and softball lights are finally up and i think that they look verry good, i know that clarksburg is getting a new gym which ya'll desperatly needed by the way lol. but are ya'll gonna get a baseball upgrade as well? just something i had on my mind and about the pitching i think it would be helpful to go to a team camp or a pitching camp with 5 or 6 guys to work on mechanics and such. the bethel camp held this year with the vandirbuilt pitching staff was quite helpful for me so i would suggest mentioning that to your coach or take your son if you'd like.

For any people interested i was wanting to know some good standards to set for myself or any other sophomore pitchers or players in general. i know its all according to your skill level and your own expectations but if anyone could give me a reasonable outline i'd appreciate it alot. i was wanting to know things like ERA, BA. Is it based on publicity mostly or coaches opinions or what.

ok guys i want to get some opinions on how 13a will match up to 14a this year. lets say west carroll wins the district, big sandy second, clarksburg third, and mckenzie fourth. really i want to know how west carroll will compete against LC humboldt and UC. they played UC in camp and did fairly well. only lost because of greer being out most of the 2nd and 3rd quarter.

ok this is to both of the guys that are downing west carrol. you both say that all we have is thomas greer, and that clint can be stopped. wow, you must have forgotten about the other 3 players on the court. Justin Scruggs? ring a bell, 6' 3" rebounds and very good in the post, xavier cunningham? will dribble through anybody, and will make u look bad from the 3 point line. Donovan Wolfe? also a good rebounder that can dribble. Not to even get into their bench. you need to do a little more research next time. Pshh, tight game my tail. we'll see when the season comes. west carroll dominates everybody in the gym in 13-A, and then goes to 14-A and does the same thing. holla at me, i want to hear your response. With West Carroll only giving up 4 seniors how do you think they will do in a district with all teams exculding clarksburg that gave up at least 6 or 7 seniors? i'm open to any thoughts.

Don't know where she is now but she was agood player for sure. I went to middle school with her in M'boro in the 70's.

We only went for a couple of games at Martin, had vacations to go to but didn't get a good feel about the guy. Didn't know he was let go. McKenzie has a better feeder program than anyone else in the district, but they probably no way will be as good as 08. Good luck to them if thy are and give their coach lots of credit for doing a good job if they are better

McKenzie should be rated as a district favorite, but a state favorite might be pushing it a bit far. They do return some players with a couple of pitchers that could be good, but they have to replace alot as well, Huntingdon will still be very formidable in district and Clarksburg will be the dark horse next year with alot of players returning and I expect West Carroll to be improved as well.

How long are you guys going to play?

Let this guy do his own parenting, please. You don't know if it's what a kid likes without trying. Their is plenty of time for swimming, riding bikes, going to movies, being a kid while playing travel ball. My son has played since he was 6, and is now a sophmore and still travels. The guy didn't say he was going to make his kid play baseball 24-7, he just inquired about a team.

Be very careful if you have elbow pain. See your doctor, tell your coach. Probably just some tendinitis. Rest is the best thing for that. But seek advice from knowledgeable people instead of any knucklehead who happens to get on the internet, good luck to you. What school do you go to anyway? If it's the biggest school in the state, it schould have a quality head coach to answer these questions for you.
