  1. how in the world can u give a national ranking in hs sports? none of these teams play each other. i don't understand how one could know brentwood is better than say the texas state champ. its just impossible to know. someone else has to agree with me
  2. umm can we get some details on this blackman game? sounds exciting and would like to know what happened
  3. I feel another district 7 sweep again. It happens every single year i feel like. A couple years back Tullahoma was undefeated and started like 10 seniors, yet Cookeville (I think it was them) still beat them on Tullahoma's field. Now I know Shelbyville is great this year, but D8 never beats D7 in the regions
  4. who is the champ if they tie?
  5. Great win last night by Cookeville. Came out ready to play and scored a goal in the first 11 seconds. Then scored a second five minutes later. This sets up for a huge riverdale-blackman showdown. I should be there and I can't wait.
  6. I see where you could easily put all the murfreesboro teams together, but who would you put a team like cookeville with? I don't think they are really close to any other legit aaa teams. i guess warren co. but thats it
  7. mjuhb, its not a big deal but you have been spelling "CookEville" (with 2 e's) wrong for years.
  8. I agree grizzlies fan. Great rivalries have been created. Who would a team like Cookeville even be re-zoned with?? I can't think of any other legit AAA soccer programs close to that area. Its not broke, lets don't fix it.
  9. Why do people feel the districts need to be re-done? I would hate to see 7-aaa be split up, as it is always fun and competitive in almost every sport, especially boys soccer. I think the districts are just fine how they are. And don't say its too much traveling. In soccer a team from mboro only has to make two 'long' away trips a year.
  10. Yes, I saw the Chippewa travel team play about 3 games last fall, and Hector was a huge part of that team, which easily won the state championship. He will certainly be hard to replace, especially in Crossville which is not a city known for its soccer programs.
  11. will the players be suspended for this weeks games? That is the rule correct?
  12. Yes White Co. does not play any regular season district games and enters the 7-AAA tournament as the 8 seed. Yet, they are still have one or two players receive all district awards at the end of each year.... doesn't seem right to me. But not a big deal, just seems odd
  13. Should be another fun year, as District 7-AAA is always exciting and intense. I know some predictions have been shared but I would just like to throw mine in. *Note I have no knowledge of incoming players so predicitions are based solely on returners. Riverdale, Cookeville, Blackman, Siegel look to be the contenders for the title. Riverdale- Solid Forward, Midfielder, and Keeper will help them be successful. We'll see if they can rebound from a disappointing year. Cookeville- Lost a lot of senior talent from last year, but also have some very good skill players remaining. It helps to have a returning all-stater. We'll see if the cavs can score enough goals to take first. Blackman- Also lost a lot of senior talent but will still be very solid. Also return an all-stater and should have a good attack. Maybe a bit weaker in the midfield than last year but should be improved at forward and the keeper position. Siegel- Have had a lot of young talent the past few years, maybe this is the year they can finally break through and take first. Should have a solid mid-field. Also: Warren Co- Tony Garibaldi may just be the best player in the district at forward. Will he have help? Lebanon, Oakland, and White Co should be about like they've been lately. If I had to pick I'd say 1. Riverdale or Cookeville in a toss up 3. Blackman 4. Siegel
